My Passport/Travellers cheques were stolen in 92 from Hello Guest House Bangkok! Super Stressful Bro, I have been there! The Canadian Embassy fortunately back then was Helpful! They saw me same day, gave me a Temporary Passport Same day. The Canadian Embassy needs to get its shit together and help taxpaying Canadian fucking Citizens same day...That is why we pay the fat salaries of these embassy workers! The Govt needs Feedback!!
I was really hoping for a “don’t worry brother we got this” type of welcome from a Canadian citizen. The embassy security kept my back pack (with snacks) and held my phone while I waited and spoke to a “Thai” lady 2 hours after my scheduled appointment which I booked 11 days in advance.
If I had to leave the country immediately they could issue me an emergency Travel Document to leave the country right away. But the plan was to stay so… I have to wait, and pay the penalty.
The guy ahead of me had a full snap-show on the poor lady going over his rights and the mission statement written on the wall and how he as a Canadian deserves better etc… so I didn’t need to. Anyways it was disappointing I couldn’t speak to someone the same day.

@@lodestarsprayer5660 the dude completed everything online but they couldn’t process his payment online so he waited 2 hours just for them scan his credit card. He was going on and on about how we can put men on the moon but the government of Canada can’t take online payments…. We all got a few chuckles in the waiting room.
