A lot of the stronger dlc bosses- Messmer, Bayle, Midra, Rellana- all rely on fire damage. Mohg has 80% fire resistance, so he'll destroy them except Consort Radahn.
Thanks for keeping NIHIL, unlike other youtubers. Usually, Mohg lose 3/4 of his HP against other late game bosses because he's not doing anything or counting during his first phase. His second phase is super strong AND cool AND balanced anyways
@@justreadberserkd1021 Yeah. Mohg has a slow and realistic moveset, is not aggressive during his first phase, has low poise... when he's counting he's just wasting time he could use to deal damge The best proof of this is full phase 2 Mohg vs all bosses: the result is usually the same as phase 1 + phase 2 EDIT: besides the player has ways to stun him with an item and negate NIHIL so yeah Mohg is balanced as a boss
I think personally, Mohg is my favorite boss to fight. I'm not gonna judge anything in terms of difficulty since that can vary so much, or anything, but just the fight itself is always epic and one of the big reasons I kept replaying the base game lol. Also, def *one of* my favorite designs, especially phase 2 (and I say "one of" because tbh, choosing just a couple of the coolest boss designs in Elden Ring is friggin hard! 😅)
This perfectly shows how most dlc bosses are not only not harder than late-game bosses from the base game, but mostly easier. My only criticism for Messmer is that he is a bit easier than I would like
Er... excuse me? If anything, it shows the opposite. Mohg is dealing most of his damage through Nihil, and toughing out most of the hits with increased defence and 80% fire resistance (where most of the stronger bosses rely on fire). That says nothing about the complexity of his moveset, which is rather simple in both phases. You could say the individual attacks are harder to dodge in his p2 due to the blood spray, but his area denial is no better than Messmer's or Bayle's. At most you could make the argument that he is equivalently hard, since Nihil narrows the margin of error you have, but you can't really make conclusions of how hard a boss's moveset is based on a bvb video.
@@Count.Saruman He has nihil, blood loss, 80% fire damage negation. Mohg's attack pattern is also harder to learn than Messmer's for example. Not to mention how Nihil is part of his fight. That's like discounting Metyr's laser when that's her most dangerous attack. Most dlc remembrance bosses are very straightforward and not super punishing. I think with the exception of Rellana, Bayle and Radahn all dlc remembrance bosses are easier. Romina, Scadutree Avatar, Metyr, Midra, Gaius, Putrescent Knight are all easier than the rest of late-game bosses (Maybe with the exception of Placidusax)
@@cowhale2488That doesn't necessarily mean that he is harder. Nihil for instance is an unavoidable attack, but it is predictable. You don't spend any effort to dodge it and see it coming. It doesn't demand that you apply your skill to dodge it, you just press the heal button at the right time. I would take it any day over Messmer's serpent spam or Romina's completely untelegraphed rotten butterflies. Mohg, unlike Messmer, doesn't have any frametrap attacks. He doesn't have as many mixups as Rellana. He isn't as frenetic and chaotic as Bayle. All his attacks are clearly telegraphed and have tells, unlike Romina and Putrescent. There is more than one way to dodge almost any attack of his, unlike multiple dlc bosses. If anything he's about on par with Midra, if perhaps a little more complex than him.
@@Count.Saruman Every boss has tells lmao. You can dodge every boss's attacks in multiple ways. What are you on about? Midra is a lot more predictable and slower
Idk how bvb video indicates how much harder the boss is. It show how much more bs they have to do crazy damage. Morgott have the most complex moveset but none of his stuff take out percentage of your health regardless of stat ( like Mohg nihil, scarlet rot or Maliketh) and yet Morgott is one of the most challenging moveset to master, also Messmer and Bayle fk me harder than Mohg. Oh I remember how before the dlc i used to hate mohg as a character, but after the dlc comed out I've stopped hating on him and has thrown my hate into miquella instead. So when it comes to his boss fight it was and it still is great my favorite part about his fight is nihil because I think that it's really cool, unique and interesting gimmick like in his first phase he counts from three to one in latin as the fight goes on and when he does gets to one he basically bleeds you three times in a row while also recovering his health three times, and the thing is that this attack will get you anywhere and the only way for you to defend from it is to sacrifice three flasks or pick a specific crystal tear that will protect you from this attack, however what I don't like about his boss fight is that in his second phase he spills his blood flames everywhere after each and every strike of his trident, and that blood flames will provoke bleed on you if you will step on them too much and that is really frustrating to keep a track on them while also fighting a boss that rarely ever stops attacking
@@Artem-eu3uvI don't know what to tell you. An NG+7 Mohg is still, on occasion, beaten straight by a normal Malenia. The problem with him is that he wastes Nihil on her first phase.

Why on some characters Nihil has absolutely no effect?
Nihil works by inflicting blood loss, and some enemies such as scadutree avatar are immune to bleeding.
