Alors , ça , je ne m'y attendais pas du tout !!!!!!! Je suis de Brest ( pas du quartier de Lambézellec , mais tout de même !!!! ) . J'ai le CD quelque part . Trés drôle d'avoir proposé cela à Dereck !!!!
Déjà , que les français prennent beaucoup de place sur sa chaîne UA-cam , si les brestois particulièrement s'y mettent , ça devient vraiment drôle !!!! Bientôt , Nolwenn Leroy ? ( ok , elle est de Saint-Renan , mais c'est pareil !!! lol ) ......................Cela dit , Lambé An Dro a pris un coup de vieux , je trouve , et si c'est pour entendre Nolwenn chanter " j'entends le loup , le renard et la belette " , non merci !!!! Well, I was not expecting that at all!!!!!!! I'm from Brest (not from the Lambézellec district, but still!!!!). I have the CD somewhere. Very funny to have proposed this to Dereck !!!!
Already, that french people take up a lot of space on his UA-cam channel, if the people of Brest in particular get started, it becomes really funny!!!! Soon, Nolwenn Leroy? (ok, she's from Saint-Renan, but it's the same!!! lol) .....................That said, Lambé An Dro took a touch of old, I think, and if it's to hear Nolwenn sing "I hear the wolf, the fox and the weasel", no thank you!!!! But again, it made me weird to hear this song commented by Derek!!!!
Matmatah est un peu plus qu'un groupe celtique a la notoriété régionale mais je dois admettre que je n'aurais pas choisi ce titre pour representer Matmatah. C'est un peu trop repetitif.

I grew up with this, saw them live a few times, it's so cool to see someone from the other end of the world getting the vibe, no background of what's behind it, but picking up on the celtic influence, makes the reaction ever so genuine and pure, if this made you happy I'm happy, breizh da viken. as for the background, celtic-rock band Matmattah, with heavy funk inluences, Brittany as much as Ireland have a very distinctive musical culture but both embrace all influences, the more the merrier

Lambé is for the neighborhood of Lambézellec in the city of Brest in Brittany. The meaning of the song is mainly "if you want to party, come in our neighborhood". I saw Matmatah several times on stage (from small clubs at their debut to big festival stages), a lot of energy and very generous with the crowd... at least back in the days on the late 90's/early 00's. Thanks for the video.

C’est une chanson bretonne. Le chuchen, c’est alcool breton 😊. Il me semble qu’ils sont de la ville de Brest. Tu as déjà écouté un groupe breton Le groupe Manau avec la chanson "la tribut de Dana"
Tout ce dont ils parlent dans la chanson c'est le "Brest des étudiants des années 1990", le Mélo (boîte de nuit), le Bouguen (pont près de la fac), etc. et lambé c'est d'ailleurs le diminutif du quartier de Lambézellec ;)
