  • Removing the inner strands of 550 paracord and hiding them in your HAT so that you might have a chance to use the cordage as a self defense or escape tool in a hostage situation. I use a glue gun and a sail needle to demonstrate two ways of covertly attaching the cordage to the inner brim of my boonie cap. HT

    Layer up, not just with cord but with real E&E gear like kevlar saws, shims, keys, etc. Cartels will often take your boots, hats will likely be removed during "proof of life" photos/videos. If your captors are poor, they will likely covet any quality American/expensive looking gear you are wearing. Wallets and under phone cases may be good for EDC but not for E&E as both will be taken from you. I signed up for your OF and it was everything I wanted and more! lol
