    might seem weird, but i really enjoy your videos and often leave them running on my phone while i fall asleep :D I like your natural delivery of information about archery products and enjoy seeing videos about your shop and competition experiences, anecdotes and stories. Also nice to see such lovely weather.. so rainy in the UK always :D Keep up the good work !

    Hello Steve, Since the new Hoyt Altus for 2023 has been released, I would like to know what you think about the new bow. Looks like they listened to you and changed a lot of things on it. Will you make a test video about the new Altus 2023?

    Hello Steve, why don't you try the new Altus 2023 with HBT cams? Thank you from Italy.

    You can take the best bow that supposedly is out there and have someone that don't know how to shoot and they're not gonna hit the broadside of a barn door it's It's all about the field of the bow for you personally unpersonally and that's what Stephen is trying to do for each person I think you do a damn good job brother

    You seem to be dismissing this bow because it doesn't have all the best bits from a number of other bows.... but neither does any other bow :)
    Joking aside, that's some of the best grouping I've seen you shoot in a quick review. I think if you put the 75% modules on it, it would get the holding weight to the same as your PSEs and you'd be much more comfortable.

    @Archery Supplies.....Great review as always! If possible could you do a review of the Mybo Pathfinder recurve?

    Check the timing, the older cam and a half's were very susceptible to spongy when timing was out

    Hello, is the Samick Discovery less vibrations than a wooden riser(samick sage for exemple) ? What to choose between Samick Sage, Samick Discovery or W&W Black Elk as my first bow? Thanks!

    I’m a PSE shooter and it’s always refreshing to not a hear a video that sounds like a Mathew’s commercial. I wouldn’t own one even if it were the best due to the cult like following.

    Most Mathews shooters remove the grip, stick side plates on and shoot off the riser

    • @thomasstanworth
      @thomasstanworth 2 роки тому +1

      I’m not so sure. Many if not most Mathews top shooters actually use the Engage. While it may not feel ‘nice’ it’s actually better at controlling torque than a flat back. It also forces absolutely consistent hand placement, because it feels ‘off’ if you don’t nail hand placement. There is a reason why so many pros shoot the Engage and it’s because it is actually a very good grip if you use a very relaxed bow hand and place it properly. I don’t particularly ‘like’ it, but it shoot better scores with it than grips that I ‘like’ more.

    Let’s be honest, my perform x did have serving on my strings and even with the rollers the string didn’t even last 1 year. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    If you're feeling some type of pressure in your forearm arm you better be careful you could be trying to rip something loose in there And a bicep rip is a bad one

    322fps is fast for a target bow. And 293 is not bad.

    No accident that Steven wore an Elite hat & shirt that was color-coded to that bow that isn't an Elite, haha ha 😆.

    I don't get the price point, the Invicta is only 3-500 $ more than the Altus. It's not significantly cheap enough to warrant buying one.

    • @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale
      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  2 роки тому +1

      I agree - It would need more features. Given a cheaper riser to make.

      The other thing being now that the 2022 bows are out there's all kinds of used bows for sale for less than half of a new one. Most probably have less than 3000 arrows through them.
      I can pick up last year's citation 36 for less than 700$

    This is classic product differentiation. It’s like BMW, which de-tunes a 2.0 litre engine and then calls the car a 318i or something. Does BMW save production costs doing this? No, not in the slightest, but they drop the price of the car a bit and hope to upsell you to a 320i. Hoyt has deliberately held back simple things that would cost next to nothing to give you, whilst not giving enough cost savings to make the bow appealing. The Altus is a bow with zero online and competition profile. You literally never see then anywhere. Total missed opportunity by Hoyt to deliver an appealing mid-level target bow.
