FINALLY someone using Viviana correctly and adheres to the game design philosophy. I don't really get why others have the need to test her out solo, they don't try to help her deal dmg, they just use her like she has Surtr's kit.
Because she is supposed to be a used solo as per her kit though. Otherwise, what use are the Res and Def buffs from her skills or damage reduction and shields from her talents? If you are pairing her with another op, then there are plenty of other ops who can get the job done faster and more effectively.

The reason for that is literally because Viviana's kit is just a simple guard that has decent dps and survivability aspects, she will always need medic and help, she will never solo. Her kit was never to be placed and left alone like Surtr.

FYI, in this context, the OP is clearly not talking about a medic, and they are referring to the last two examples where she is doing damage while Hoshi is taking the damage. My point was that Viviana showing promise in such a context is not of interest since plenty of other operators can do better when paired with a defender. Heck, Thorns with his new module will likely do better and over a wider range than Viviana at that point.

It just wasn't how she was meant to be played and kind of underplays the effect of the module which was the point of the showcase. I failed to see what your point is regarding what the Op said and how just letting hoshi block and showcasing the effect is somehow bad. (the mod didn't increase her survivability)

Overall a very good module ngl, Viv already had short cycles in-between skills and now she has better dmaage on skill. Really nice mod tbh, already considering skipping Vina lol.
For someone who already considered Viviana a decent operator this buff is absurdly big. She can deal more dps than Surtr up to 75 res and much more total dmg since she can stay on the field, but she needs to stay in the field and you have to time her skills right for that, while red woman have guaranteed helidropable damage in one click. Surprisingly balanced trade in my opinion.
Looking at how fast she applies burn it's unironically much better to combo her with Haze/Ifrit and Warmy. Bobbing will help her proc burn fallout that she can apply herself in 2-3 swipes on s3 and then he'll be completely useless.
Bobbing is unnecessary since its another Logos situation where the burn buildup is based on damage dealt, so you're better off just outright buffing her damage and she can proc it easily without a ritualist.
Since vivi is so good at proc burn burst, i think it would be cool for a 6 star burn ritualist to reduce the time for thr burn bust cooldown or smt like that 7k true dmg in fast cycles are better when her skills are so short
@@rw6611 The fact that it is her passive talent makes it invaluable skill for burn burst squad (if we will have that in future). Hopefully we can have her module to turn it into a global passive so that it doesn't to be in range to proc bonus burn burst damage.

I'm just glad that after pondering for necrosis combo so hard HG finally made burn combo workable too, even if with small issues like Bobbing and Ifrit's delta mod.

Technically no, but A - Burn reduces enemy RES by 20 when is triggered. B - The base module makes her deal 15% more damage to enemies under Burn Burst (aka recovering from the Burn) So yeah, she does get a lot of improvements when attacking someone thats burning
Her module makes her deal an additional 15% of damage as elemental damage to burnt enemies, which is where the extra damage comes from. As of right now, there are no enemies with elemental resistance, so it's basically true damage.
Burn fallout reduces res by 20, does 7k elemental damage in one instance and lets her deal her own elemental damage. So yes when burn burst is applied it's massive difference.
Overall good damage increase but her core problem isnt solved which is the downtime and being useless for 25 seconds between skill activations, it should have allowed to cycle faster into her skill
Wisadel brainrot has reached to people that now they expect every op to have excellent off-skill DPS too, also how is she useless off-skill tho?, she can build-up burn dmg off-skill, so she can kill enemies faster during skill, and if she had triggered the burn dmg during skill then she can deal some respectable dmg to the enemy off-skill during the leftover duration edit: i just did the math and she can trigger burn dmg off-skill on a 70RES elite/normal enemy and a 50RES boss enemy
At least her downtime is pretty low. Her skill cycles were always good and now she has impressive damage on skill. I think 25s skill cycle is pretty great actually, I mean even Vina has like a 50s cycle, sure it's a true damage skill but that's where I'd have issues with the downtime.

@@Michael-zw3mr they can sorta buff skills, for example Shining with mod X gains 25% atk when equipped with S2 and +0,6 sp/s when equipped with S3. But that´s the extent they can go to, give additional effects based on the skill

The downtime is perfect. Makes for decent skill expression.
