Yes Five year goals are ridiculous because at this point I won't be able to know what would be best for me after 5 years! It's not possible to predict how things would turn into or how much change & growth we would be having. We should have a vision & work everyday towards that vision & set intentions but in no way should we try to control our life . The best thing that could happen after 5 years would just happen!

I made 5 year goals in the past as motivators. But what Evan says which Tony Robbins also says is true. There’s basically no way your plans will remain the same, in our generation least of all where an entire market may be revolutionized from one year to the next. I find it difficult to project much beyond 3 years and even that tends to be quite different. 3 month 6 month and 1 and 2 year goals are awesome.

Another great video! I especially like: Big decisions with the heart; small decisions with the head. I also like the flexability aspect. I think goals are necessary but they cannot be carved in stone becuase life changes so quickly.

I totally agree on 5 years goals being not actionable. Though, I think they are useful for having a little heaven to chase ahead of you. Life-wide goals like "helping people #Believe" can be too inconcrete to drive motivation for non-dreamer types. For those, a more tangible 5 years "dream" is an easier thing to visualize imo.

Your definitely right about the 95%
Getting up and driving to a job they hate, for me personally i think i would really enjoy the process of building a business and even of learning different strategies etc.
But in order to get to a place of enjoyment i have to get to just having the basic monthly bills paid, if nothing else just for the stress relief. So its just getting past a small notch thats holding me back big time.
