i dont even know the last time ive seen anything with candy jade but i can say with certainty that this is an amazing introduction back

I'm so glad such a talented artist (you're the talented artist, it's you) decided to create an animatic about one of the most complex (but often overlooked) characters of HS! The song you choose fits perfectly, and the emotions you convey are so strong and natural! This is so good! , I think I found the video I'll be replaying incessantly for the next few days ;)

I love this so much. Fun detail, during the first chorus (or is it bridge?), Jade and Dave are shaded in respective green and red, yet when it's about "making you my own," Dave's shading turns green too, and his expression turns stoic again, and it's everything. Thanks for introducing me to the song, and your expressions with clean lines just killed it. All the respect I give the candy route is because of this, and your choice to tie your art and the lyrics with Jade is unbelievably emotionally cathartic, yet tragic. It doesn't condense her down, and for that, I thank you.
thank you so much!! i think youre the first(?) person to notice the green/red shading and symbolism which ive been waiting for lmfao - an addition to this is that the color of the shading (& visibility of jades eyes!!) in her glasses correlates to her narrative relevance in relation to dave, and how as the shading gets more green and eyes less frequently visible jade gets more emotional - in canon her whole role was a lot like a stepping stone for plot or other peoples development, and i wanted to show her anger and emotions when the spotlight *is* on her. thanks for commenting!
@@notedchampagne oh my gosh that attention to detail is amazing, and you beautifully bring out the intricate emotions of someone who is left aside by her own closest friends; the resentment, anger, frustration right under the surface from being left behind by her friends, mixed with the positive peppy persona of her youth that she uses as a facade to try to insert herself back to the lives of the people who she felt so connected to, ugh this animatic captures it all so well, thanks for making this!!! I will not stop thinking about Jade Harley lmfao

wow... this is so beautiful! i personally love candy jade. I forgot who said it, or if it was even in the epilogues, but i remember someone saying jade just has so much love to give, and being isolated on an island for all of her childhood, she doesn't know how to handle it. it's just ,, so sad and tragic. (also very nice on the video ending at 4:13)

Honestly I've been debating to read the epilogues since they came out, especially b/c I was rereading og hs at the time, but seeing this complex portrayal ok Candy Jade is convinced me to actually read it. I really relate to Jade and when I heard she was being pushy on Dave and karkat it sorta deterred me.
You should be proud... you should be VERY proud. Not only is the art OBJECTIVELY PHENOMENAL, it's also compelling and emotional and evocative. Not to mention the length of this?? This is so great!!!! I actually discovered this song when you first mentioned it being a candy Jade song and the time it took you to make this was all I needed to start fricking loving it. And like, that animatic slaps so much??? I think I got teary eyes 'cause it *hurts* but like, usually with epilogues lyricstucks I just feel real sad but this one is REALLY satisfying to watch. I don't know exactly what it is about it (maybe it has something to do with having seen you draw Jade happy before? But also this feel really like, cathartic I think?? it's just really good) Also the expressions in this,,, really got me FEELING. Definitely going on my fav lyricstuck playlist so I remember to show it to my friend once she's actually read the epilogues :3.

Ohhh my goodness this is so wonderful! Jade is so expressive and emotive and I think it's incredible how you can make her face show so many Big Feelings. The way you make her ears flatten down when she's sad...I could cry ;-; Also the marriage certificate made me laugh so thank you for that
