Holy crap guys, end of an era! I won’t know what to do with myself seeing vault episodes with bottles I actually recognize 😂 seriously though this is huge news… honestly wasn’t sure the day would ever come. Excited for the future!
Honestly? I’m kinda ok with you guys Re-reviewing stuff from the first year or two as well. I won’t be mad to see all the staples come back through the pipeline.
Even with going to 3x a week, we finished almost 2 months early. That is impressive. Someone tell Graham & Peter that their time is coming back! The bottom shelf episodes shall return!
Great news. I might finally start watching the vault again. It was getting old seeing whiskeys I couldn't get and/or probably wouldn't want to pay the price to get it.
Alot of us have been waiting for this.
So we are really there.... The supply of donated bottles really ran out!

The Malt of Magnificence sounds A LOT like the Hillrock Single Malt Whiskey, and it's one of my all time favorites. As I recall, they imported some Scottish peat to get a similar note in there. You recently tried their Double Cask Rye and I think you both enjoyed it ;) Just wanted to put that out there to pique your interest.
Regardless, looking forward to eventually? maybe? being able to get some of this myself! Cheers!
that Rock Hard label is awesome, and the whiskey in the bottle is outstanding.

Your 100 proof comment made me think. You need to find a town somewhere named Bond and start sourcing whiskeys from all over. Then, no matter what it is, what proof it is or how long it was aged you can say it was Bottled in Bond.

I missed out on the MOM, but I did get the Magnificent Beast - My single favorite bottle ever. I love every sip, but hate to take it because it's one sip closer to the bottom of the bottle.
Have a bottle of the Jackalope. One of those bottles that is so good you're crushing it when you first get it. Then I got to the half way point and I'm slowing way down because I don't want it to end. Really good stuff.

I think the Rock Hard label may be the most attractive label on a bottle that I have ever bought, and, it was delicious!!

13:48 are you talking about wild yeast Daniel? I know it´s a thing with Artisan Bakery, letting dough "Breathe" overnight allows for these strains of wild yeast to settle. And provide some different funk al together. Wild :)

Define the differences between American Single Malt and Speyside. I have had Westland and I thought that it was a lot like Speyside, more like a great reference for what a Speyside should be. What did I miss???

Based on these tasting notes PLEASE compare this to Cedar Ridge QuintEssential signature blend. That's pure malty barely aged in oak. Concept sounds exactly like the scotch flavors with bourbon rules you just described. And they have great distribution. I remember the vid you did a while back saying Cedar Ridge should live on your brain but your forget because it's from Iowa. 😂 time to compare and revisit.

Are you using peat as a heat source to dry malting barley and arresting its growth, or just smoking malt to add the peat flavor?
Do you guys think you can duplicate this whiskey?.....or is it a one shot deal? If you got more barrels from Makers, could you produce enough to be available in several surrounding states anyway?

The only thing I'm saddened about this video is....that they have a rare whisky, from a local distillery with limited distribution (compared to the larger brands) and post it review...on a Monday instead of a Friday.
