Proud owner of this car for the past 7 days. I was between this and the i30 N, ended up with the safe choice of the japanese automaker. THis car is so so so underrated . So smooth to drive, the gear ratio is sweet, the throttle responce will surprise you, especially when you remember that it is naturally aspirated. The car as a unit feels solid and it feels like it hugs you in comfy and it feels like it's you and the road. Previous cars I own/owned, Suzuki Swft Sport (2018 model), Skoda Octavia, Skoda Felicia, BMW 316i, BMW x3, Suzuki Vitara (2018 model, still have that), Ford Fiesta 2007 model. I consider my self a car guy and I have driven alot of cars. Mazda 3 was and is by far the best driving experience. The only other car that gave me the same feeling was my father's in law Merc S class the 2019 model.

It's the design phlosophy Alfa completely ditched with the 159 and that gigantic overpowered battleship that the Giulia is. I's actually elegant without having to be huge. This is it, this is what I lost and found again. It doesn't have the Alfa badge, but it does have that Alfa feel when you drive it. And as compensation for the missing badge - it's going to be more reliable...

The X is about using both forms of ignition, spark (like normal petrol) + compression (like diesel), depending on the phase of the cylinders. It just performs more combustion from less fuel. I never seen in any presentation that the X uses a supercharger. If anything, if it actually was using a supercharger, it would have gained far more hp.
One of the best cars this day, I just got the hatchback some weeks ago! Not overloaded with electronic bullshit, excellent driving feeling, a lot of comfort features, good acceleration, far enough top speed, very good interior quality. The price for the quality of this car is very good. There are some small bugs like the thin paint, some painted interior parts and dashboard that easily scratches and some small rust points under the car but most of these things can be easily fixed / protected.

Love the excellent throttle response and rev hungriness of the engine, they quietly improved the powertrain a lot. I wish there was no speed limit at 220km/h.
Da irrst du Dich aber gewaltig. Ein CX-30 mit gleicher Motorisierung ist schöner und hat mehr Kofferraum und ist auch noch günstiger mit mehr Bodenfreiheit. Ich fahre einen seit Mitte August.

@@FluppKey Der Mazda CX-30 ist ein Mazda 3 auf Stelzen nur noch schöner weil die C-Säule schmaler ist. Ist aber Ansichtssache und Geschmackssache. Ich brauche die 175mm Bodenfreiheit wegen meiner Auffahrt auf den Stellplatz und wegen meiner 3 Bandscheibenvorfälle. Ich hatte von 2004-2017 schon 3 Mazda 3 gehabt. Die waren alle Super vor allem der letzte BL mit 185PS Diesel Aggregat. Der hat gezogen wie ein Bulldozer beim Beschleunigen. Leistungsmangel hatte ich mit dem Auto niemals.

Impressively quiet at autobahn speeds. I have a 2021 Hatchback premium turbo, yet rarely get to stretch it's legs unless I drive in far West Texas with 75 mph speed limits on the interstate highway...and only get near autobahn speed when passing.
Hab mal ein paar Videos vom Test Drive Freak verglichen. Da liegen die Verbräuche bei einem 1,5 TFSI (150PS) bis etwa 100Km/h gleich aber ab ca. 140Km/h bis 200Km/h deutlich höher bis zu 3L mehr. Zb. T-Roc bei 180Km/h über 12L und Mazda 3 bei 180Km/h unter 9L.
Du müsstest ihn eher mit einer A3 Limo vergleichen, der T-ROC hat natürlich deutlich mehr Luftwiederstand und verbraucht auf der Autobahn wie alle SUVs mehr. Bis ca. 170kmh ist der Skyactiv-X aber wirklich extrem sparsam, ein Diesel lohnt dagegen, rein aus Verbrauchsgründen quasi nicht.

@@dinosgura In cars, Co2 is measured when they are new for homologation, I don't know who tests a 2-year-old car, so the manufacturers reduce the power while the car is new, I thought it was because it is an N / A engine, so it needs time to get full power as is the case with the 2.5 engine. I say this for the reason that the Skyactiv X has a compressor for lower consumption but I find it easy to manipulate because of the power as well. The car goes better but also consumes more gasoline, more air more fuel = more power, I don't know maybe that's just the case with mine🤔

The car is clearly limited at 220 km/h. Peak power is at 6k RPM, 6th is wayyyyyyyyyyyy too long and 5th is too short for top speed. Without speed limiter, it could achieve 240 km/h and maybe 250+ km/h with a shorter 6th.
Acceleration is strongly influenced by the state of charge of the mild-hybrid battery. Next time, show its status on the display instead of the navigation. I know what I am talking about, I´v got this car for two years ;-)
No wonder there is a large scattering in 0-100 acceleration time in different video. Some showed that the acceleration time was 9.6X. Some showed 8.9X. Thanks for pointing it out!
Du fährst ja fast so schnell wie ein ICE, dafür aber deutlich leiser, flexibler, musst Du Dir ja nicht mit den ständig verspäteten Zügen der DB gefallen lassen. Also wer will noch ICE fahren, wenn man ja mit so einem schicken Auto wie dem Mazda 3 fahren kann!

@@ShoTzEdiT le riviste con questo motore hanno cronometrato circa 9,0s di accelerazione sullo 0-100, che rapportato alla potenza dichiarata sono davvero deludenti. Potresti rimanerci davvero male se per caso ti si affiancasse allo sportello una normale berlina con 150cv e ti darebbe la polvere senza problemi. A me roderebbe non poco.
Vergleiche niemals einen Sauger mit einem turboaufgeladenem Fahrzeug . Ein Yaris ist ein solider Alltagswagen mit geringen Unterhaltskosten, das stimmt, aber man kann ja einen Kleinwagen mit einer Kompaktklasse, wie dem Mazda 3 nicht vergleichen . (Unterschiedliche Klassen, andere Karosserie etc..)
