- The closing of NBC's 60th Anniversary Special including about a hundred NBC stars past and current as of 1986. This program revealed for the first time the then-new NBC peacock logo containing 6 feathers.
Sad, a lot of these great actors have passed on...
Malcolm Jamal Warner had the best spot in the group: "Uncle Miltie" on his left and Johnny Carson on his right...
It's hard to believe this style of music was still used in 1986.
Classical is even older, and still used today!
I have had this song in my head for the last 3 days
You're welcome . . . . . .
I'm only 11 days older than NBC's current peacock!
Y'all, this is how Scientology got started. No way in Hell you'd catch me singing around a network logo like that, it's creepy.
1:08-1:18 MY BOYS! I WAS LOOKING FOR THEM IN THE CROWD, AND SUDDENLY THERE THEY ARE...! :,) 💙💙💙
Anyone notice Shari Lewis had Lamb Chop?
thought she was with pbs
@@FranciscoDiaz-vs7hj She had a show on NBC years before she was on PBS.
I'm impressed NBC was able to gather all these stars together and sing this stupid song. They must've either offered a rather hefty bonus or required it.
This is awesome. Things like this can't and will never happen again
who says they can't and won't?
75 years (2001)
I hope they do something like this for the 100th anniversary
Back when corporate synergy and crossovers was allowed.
May 12, 1986 the current logo of NBC!
Ted Danson looks fucking thrilled to be there!
These were the greatest stars.
all the past NBC stars sing their rendition of Hey did you know to end the 60th anniversary special of NBC in May 1986, it marked the debut of the current NBC Peacock logo with six feathers representing six divisions of NBC. Next Year, it's 90 years for NBC and 30 years for its current peacock logo.
1:23 IDK why, this feels similar to breaking the 4th wall (not in a bad way)
It's awesome!!!!! I think they are lip syncing because I think some of them can't carry a note!!!!
Happy 60th anniversary nbc from mbc tv dagupan mabuhay ang ny and dagupan
freak
Really the glory days of NBC. Everything was bigger than life!
pretty sure those were the 90s.
@@sillygoose635 Said by whom?
Beatrice Arthur, Raymond Burr, Johnny Carson, Nell Carter, Estelle Getty, Valerie Harper, Bob Hope, Charlotte Rae & Doris Roberts, Well I'm sure there are some more people whom I didn't mention, they're gone but they'll never be forgotten 😢
Valerie Harper is there, and then was fired from her NBC show a year later.
Fantastic!
The six feathers represent six decades of NBC's past entertainment, so I'd bet it made sense.
The six feathers represented NBC’s various divisions at the time (1986): NBC Television Network, NBC Stations, NBC Entertainment, NBC News, NBC Sports, NBC Studios.
@@DennisDegan Oh. NBC had six divisions? Lucky guess. What about NBC Radio? You forgot to mention that.
@@Kevin-xv9pm, NBC Radio had just been sold to Westwood One in 1986. The former NBC Radio was no longer a part of NBC.
@@DennisDegan No. You've got to be kidding me. Is CBS Radio still in existence in '86?
@@Kevin-xv9pm, yes. In fact, CBS Radio Network is still in existence to this day.
ABC’s Radio Network is now called ‘ABC Audio’ but it too still exists. Both ABC and CBS sold most of their owned radio stations years ago, but their respective radio networks still are in operation.
On the other hand, NBC sold not only their radio stations, it sold the network itself and no longer has any interests in an audio-only service.
Happy birthday nbc
This is so embarrassing. I can't believe the network got them to sing this.
😂
may 2016= 30th Anniversary of the 6-feather NBC peacock logo
A.K.A NBC 90th Anniversary
Angie Dickenson looking fine as usual!
I was trying to find Melissa Gilbert in that group. She’s there somewhere.
The introduction of the famous Peacock.
1:03 Raymond Burr
Just seeing Jonathan Winters makes me laugh.
Good Night!
1:09 Don Johnson
Sorry but they were lip syncing behind a professional pre recorded choir.
I know.
I don't think that's their voices.
0:41 anyone catch Angie Dickinson looking at Johnny Carson?
Cool
Lots of great stars but this disaster has nothing on the "CBS On The Air" 1978 TV special event.
It's a living. ;D
Back when America WAS America.
guess what?
it still is.
@@sillygoose635 No it isn't.
In the fall of 2026..that will mark NBC's 100th anniversary..I hope and pray that their tv tribute to that anniversary..will be better than the 60th and 75th tv tributes..which were nothing more than celebrity babble fests.
TV itself is an ”Celebrity babble fest”.
Idiot.
0:00 to 2:40 Michael Landon not appearance in this video
I also noticed that. And that's too bad, because he was at great part of the network's history, starting in three different shows: "Bonanza", "Little House on the Prairie" and then-currently running series "Highway to Heaven".
He was there. He was doing a salute to westerns. There is a clip on UA-cam
I need to know where the F Rue McClanahan was.
Greetings!!!
She is way back on the right side of your screen, nearby Shari Lewis and "Lamb Chop". I noticed her because of the dress she had at the intro of the special.
I wish I could answer it with a picture. It'll be much easier.
The song is catchy, but what kind of anniversary special would have a verse about the credits crawl? Sounds like they're stalling the audience.
Johnny carson love bill cosby hw had to kiss rudy n stand?next to theo
😕
THIS WAS REALLY CORNY
Very. 😐
Barney Miller was on ABC! Lol
In 1986, four years after Barney Miller ended its ABC run, Hal Linden returned to TV with an NBC show called Blacke's Magic.
@@NJGuy1973 Plus Hal Liden was on a NBC daytime soap opera in the 1950's.
Sorry, I mean Hal Linden
He was on Blacks Magic with Harry Morgan for 1 season
How many hams can you spot who also appeared on CBS' 50th anniversary special in 1978? I see Arlene Francis, Steve Allen, Bea Arthur, Betty White and Valeria Harper. Did I miss anybody?
Who was standing behind Steve Allen at 0:34 seconds
@@kfergy21 I see Sabrina LeBeauf, from "The Cosby Show"
I know that Marla Gibbs was at CBS at the time. She played Florence in "The Jeffersons". What I don't know is if she appeared in the CBS special.
