Interesting trivia, the lyrics for both Star Trek and Bonanza are the little-known, written at-the-time, but never-used on air, lyrics actually written specifically for them.
Same with I Love Lucy. I used to have a piano music book that had the lyrics for Lucy, Bewitched, Star Trek, Bonanza, and others and nobody's ever heard them!
Let's see, 30 Rock, Grimm, Late Night: Fallon, Law & Order SVU, Parks and Recreation, SNL, SNF, Tonight Show: Leno...that's a pretty good set there. They have America's Got Talent, but I"m not a fan of those type of shows. I really prefer a good sitcom like The Big Bang Theory, Parks and Rec, and such. Most of the popular and beloved tv theme songs come from sitcoms. while this segment can be presented as fun and light...I think they took it a bit too far ... just too silly. AND while it’s understandable for time allotted, not all songs can be presented... ok. But there were still several great NBC themes songs left out : Diff’rent Strokes for one! Gimme a Break, Fresh Prince, A Different World, 227, ... wait... I may be seeing a pattern here... all that aside, I do see one of the issues... NBC had very few hit shows in the 1960s and 1970s... and many of these shows had theme songs without lyrics like Get Smart, Sanford and Son, CHiPs, .. there’s probably a few more... thoughts? :)
This guy is funny but you DO NOT tell Betty White to shut up! Also he absolutely butchered the theme of Golden Girls. I could literally see Betty and Rue's disapproving faces.

I love how the Cheers theme is often used as the final one. They did the same at the 1994 Emmys and the 2008 Emmys when they had theme song medleys
