@@freeyourmind9997 Actually they are very good and were very complimentary about the Orioles throughout. You can't fault them for projecting 3 wins that series. Their starting pitching is better and they have a great record at home. The Orioles just outplayed them in a couple of very close games.

So much fun to follow this as a fan.
Orioles in 2023 has been nothing short of magical. This is a special combination of young and veteran players led by a transformative manager, Brandon Hyde. How this team has turned their multi[le 100 loss seasons around so quickly has been incredible. The rebuild is officially over, its time to shine now. Orioles magic continues into Sept and Oct. Keep rockin it steady Os!
At this point the O's have only lost maybe 3 series all season and never been swept. 2 of those were the Dodgers and the red hot Reds. With the farm system this good if Baltimore is patient they should have years of dominance in the AL East.
Great stuff! Just wish you would've highlighted Baumann's work in the last game after Wells had to sit down early. Without Baumann getting us to Cano that game was looking like a loss.
Those innings have been tough for us at times this year too, huge from Baumann!

Tampa Bay deserved to lose 3 of 4 with how much smack they talked. Not to mention they have a team full of showboaters and perfectionists. Plus every single media expert that had the Rays as locks for the AL East title is in shock. WE'RE NOT SHOCKED OVER HERE! We saw this coming once the All-Star Break hit. Honestly, Dewayne Staats deserves to eat endless amounts of crow for calling Austin Hays's trick move unsportsmanlike conduct. The best part for us Baltimore sports fans is that there's another chief rival of ours that's full of arrogance, and insufferability. The Ravens are about to do the same to the Bungles in Week 2. Charm City, THIS IS OUR YEAR! WE ARE TAKING BOTH THE SUPER BOWL AND THE WORLD SERIES!!!

Do we need a “Ace Pitcher”? Or should we leave everything alone and ride this momentum into the postseason? A wise woman “RIP mom” once told me “Son, if it’s not broken then don’t fix it”. What is everyone thoughts and feelings on this?
Perhaps the O’s don’t need an ace, but I would say they should at least get a solid starter and some bullpen help. At this point, I think it’s less about star power and more about lightening the load on the starters and bullpen a bit. Most of the O’s pitchers are in uncharted territory in terms of innings pitched and fatigue will be a factor down the stretch and into October. But at the same time I’m a big believer that pitching wins in October. And the Orioles definitely lack starters with playoff experience. Playoff baseball and regular season baseball are apples and oranges.
