Oh my goodness! What beautiful regalia! I saw all colors in their regalia. Just simply awesome. My favorite was the little girl. She was so precious and her regalia was gorgeous.

Все- таки как прекрасен этот МИР, да поглядеть ,успеть все это увидеть воочию. У нас тоже есть танцы, своя культура. А ещё есть олени. Нас коренных очень мало, нас надо беречь с их культурой, традициями, обычаями. Как хорошо было бы, чтоб все народы на Земле жили одной дружной семьёй. Не было бы всяких войн, зла . Жизнь она ведь одна. Дай Бог всему человечества благополучия, беречь нашу природу, воду и животных, птиц, рыб
That little girl was cute, she did good n I'm proud of her for going so long. My dad watched this with me, n when she had to walk off my dad started crying. At 1st I asked what was wrong, he said he felt her sadness before she even walked away. I don't know who was crying more her or him, then when she came out again n finished dancing with that girl he cried again. He said to him she was honoring that girl n was happy that they called her up n gave her a big hug. He said the girl that won should have automatically went to the little girl n gave her a big hug 1st or even before the song was over she shoulda got the little girls hand n finished the song with her. I loved the video n well my dad did to 😊.

Beautiful costumes (I hope that's the right word) or traditional outfits. They're all awesome. I couldn't get a closeup of the exquisite beadwork. The dancing and rhythm are rather mystical and lovely.
The outfits are called their regalia. :)

I love this very much. The women's dress is absolutely phenomenal and beautiful. I love looking at their hardworking in beading and wonderful feather accessories. I love watching them dance its mesmerizing and the beating of the drums...very captivating! Thank you for sharing your history in dance and music here. The drums tell a story as I can hear and see the different drum beat...very meaningful!

That native love with little dance with the competition I was going to represent the young ones because they're going to live longer than us and the culture so you need to respect the young ones that are living to this day dancing for us native culture different nations and I love this video because this little girl she danced her life to be in this competition she kind of finished it and I loved it destinated love I represent my love to her with a little kids the girl up in the culture to dance what they believe in..

Hay,..please tell your video cameraman he gave me a headache,..we are looking at the show in his eyes and I have to tell you,..I would focus on a dancer or the drummers and BOOM,.. he would change his camera location. I couldn't just enjoy a moment of aww. he was changing his point of view all over the place,..!!Please tell him to keep his camera still for a minute!!

Why do some of the dancers have the eagle feather fans and others don't?
That's a great question! Many of the dancers have made their own fans, some were gifted fans, some prefer not to dance with them, some prefer to dance with a scarf which can be considered more traditional and some just have never had enough eagle feathers to make their own fan. And some won't dance with one unless it has been made for them or gifted to them. :)

I wonder why they don't hold these outside,,,it seems it would be more appealing as that's where these were done is in the natural environment
Most are held inside some type of arbor since keeping the ground dry and people warm can be difficult. Many travel great distances to compete and their season often times run from early spring to late fall, which makes planning for weather tricky. Also, artificial turf helps to keep the dust down during dry seasons. In the past, many powwows were notoriously dusty. Facilities like these allow dancers to go late into the night and help keep the regalia, some which has been handed down for generations, in good shape. :)

It’s purely the judges choice. I don’t entirely agree with contesting in pow wows but at the same time it’s how a lot of families make their money. I don’t enter contest when I dance.

Hey great I was wondering why come I don't see any Indians in America because they are part of the American History Love the culture.
Native Americans are less than 2% of the general population and many communities have been forced onto rural reservations. And since Natives are tribal, many prefer to stay within their communities which in turn reduces the overall visibility of Natives within typical urban settings. But, we are still here and we shall remain... though you may have to look a little harder.
