Jingle dancing takes endurance. I am almost 42 and it is hard on my knees, but I continue and have passed it on to my girls. Acosia Red Elk is a beautiful dancer. I have seen her at Pow Wows and she always displays herself (and her dancing) with grace, dignity and honor. I have seen many comments in here criticizing dancers. Always easy to do from the sidelines. Everyone who entered that circle to dance did amazing.

I ain't no dancer but when I do ceremony WEYA songs and dances of my people you become energized and don't feel tired or winded. For all purposes you get in the zone and the power is coming from your core and whole being. It is a great feeling if you have truly experienced this. Who the hell needs drugs or alcohol just try them old Indian ways if ya want a real rush... HO!

I want to hunt with bow and knife, to hunt with ancient blood. I am with a Mohawk Ojibway woman. I have learned much, from elders and her family the nightmares and horrors thrust upon them. I cannot fathom the pain and abuse, shredding of an entire culture originally made up of 10s of millions. Precious culture,, you are fucking right!

I dance the way the drum leads my creation.... you dance the way u dance Redbird woman... if u even dance.... just saying.... I feel at peace out there... no arrogance at all.... critics... smh gotta love em. I'm a dancer and even I DONT have time to critisize the WY my fellow powwow people express themselves in that beautiful circle that we receive soo much good Energy from..... and gtfm or whoever u are, don't buy into people changing your mind for u... sounds like a follower to me.
Acosia Red Elk was great! Should have won but respect to all the ladies dancing. Amazing endurance!

Strong dancers they are, I wouldn't even handle 10 minutes of dancing!! Strong spirits.
These brothers and sisters hold the knowledge and wisdom to love and nurture mother earth. So many sky beings have blessed these people over the centuries. Let us learn the invaluable instructions as our planet needs it now more than ever.
I love singing for these types of specials definitely fun to see the Ladies show up the men at times even though i am a Mens Traditional dancer

Both were phenomenal an shout out to the 3rd last so poised and elegant, carrying yourself with great respect especially your Fan.

While I do congratulate the winner for lasting as long as she did, isn't the whole point of an Iron Woman special is to see who can last the longest? I understand tapping out those that couldn't keep up with the beat, but maybe by the last, maybe 10 dancers, I would've stopped tapping them out just to see who would last the longest.

Wow! I loved this. What part of North America is this? I'm from New York City (a teacher and performer / producer) and I am teaching my students about Native American History in New York. The Shinnecock people live not too far from us in Long Island. They have cool dances, but this is just so emotionally moving! Thank you.

This is my first time watching this competition--I watched for a few minutes, then looked at how long the video was and thought holy crap! there are still women dancing over 30 minutes later? That is amazing.
