It’s not about quantity it’s about quality, for example, India has more people combined than both these nations yet have no stars, having more people means nothing
@@East.London Having more people still increases the chances of having quality players. Then you also have to take into account the place football has in the country, for your example of India, the sport is non-existent compared to Belgium or Brazil.

@@Bjowolf2 South American teams struggle a lot against European quality, the only thing South American teams have better than European teams is passion but quality wise Europeans are ahead, France for example last season despite having many missing key players still took Argentina with a full strength team to penalties nearly won

Brazil is by far the most legendary World Cup nation for 2 reasons
1 They've had the most WC
2 Every Brazilian elimination goes round the world and is a great game (France 2006, Netherlands 2010, Germany 2014, Belgium 2018 and Croatia 2022, all of theses are one of the greatest matchs of WC, or even in the past with Italy 1982 and France for 1986 and 1998)

It's strange to read that because belgium was for a lot of people the best team in this world cup. In 2002, without an arbitral mistake, belgium should have win against Brazil as well... At least that would have been possible.

Brazil is not nearly as good, as it used to be, the defence is rather poor with the 2nd rate goal keepers and a widespread lack of disciplin. And the other top 20 teams have caught up with Brazil technically and are typically much better organised tactically.
So Brazil is very unlikely to "ever" win the World Cup again in a foreseeable future - the other teams are simply not as scared of meeting once mighty Brazil, as they used to be 20 years ago and earlier.

It reminded me of a goal scored for the stanboys , the ball got to me and the defenders where like lined up , i just had to shoot trough the tunnel.i was a defender and goalkeeper, it was a straight shot , i gave it my best , and i nailed it. I played for the company as well , the one we were working for , we lost , brico vs soudal . We came close , but shit happens . Anytime again , azzedine hit it again bro

Courtois is a great keeper, bad team-player and a horrible person. I don’t mind he isn’t there. They represent us, Belgium, even if with him we have better chances, I’m glad he isn’t there.
Casteels did pretty well though. As far as I'm concerned Courtois can stay the f*ck home until he apologizes to everyone for his toddler behavior.

No, they were not! - they looked good for a while, but then they ran into some teams that were at the same level and better tactically.
You confuse best players and best team. It’s a team sport, you need great players, but you need a team and that’s where brasil is struggling lately. And they don’t have strikers like they used too… no Romario, Bebeto, Ronaldo,… still an amazing team, don’t get me wrong.
While this was a great game, Brazil is nowhere near the best footballing nation of the last decade. Their main problem is they don't have any world class strikers anymore. Put R9, Romario or even Adriano in this team and it would perform completely different. Neymar couldn't carry the team's attack on his own.

For those who say it was a humiliation for Brazil, I say it wasn't! Belgium had basically 2 good goal opportunities, won an own goal and scored only 1 goal, otherwise the Belgian team was horrible and didn't play good football, their best player on the field was the goalkeeper, so Brazil even though they were eliminated played well and could have turned the score around.
Belgium was literally the best team of the entire world cup, don't be deluded 😅
Saying a team you lost to was playing bad makes the loss even more humiliating.
So, you’re 2-0 upfront in the quarter final (against the tournament’s favorite may I add) and you think you should still have an attacking mind? EVERY team that’s 2-0 in front will start to control the game, especially against a team like Brazil, sure Brazil took more shots, but shooting from 20 meters with 8 players in front of you is not a goal opportunity and the best player on the pitch was Hazard in the second half, he wasn’t creating chances, but keeping the ball and controlling the game, he made the Brazilians go crazy. Of course the team that’s behind needs to make the game and Belgium is/was great at counter-attacking, so being 2-0 in front put them in their favorite position, let the Brazilians come and use the counterattack, but it wasn’t even necessary. Belgium had a great team, the humiliation was that a country of 11 million won from a football legend country of 215 million, it humiliated them, as in it put them back in reality.
