it's a cool-looking machine, but i think part of the charm of vinyls is being able to see them spin around on the platter, yknow? maybe it's just me and my aspergers-like fascination with rotary motion.
My family was given a Sharp front loading turntable just like that one. Can this unit play both sides of the record without the need to physically turn the record over?
My husband has one but the tray is broken. I saw one for sell on Amazon but missed it as couldn't get at the time. Do you know where I can find one for sell or how to get the tray fixed. He loves this turntable and I have been looking for a while for another to buy. His is just like the one in the video
No, this one requires a manual flip. I know the Sharp unit you are speaking of, though. Pretty cool! There are needles on the down and up side of the tone arm to play both sides of the record.
i'm fascinated by these front loading ones
My mom and dad had a front loading turntable from the late 80's on a shelf system.
Awesome!

I agree, I barely use this unit. :-)
Thats awsome! I've always wanted one of thoses!
That's awesome! Does it sound good compared to other tables you've listened through?
reminds me of the laserdisc player

I'm not to fond of the front loaders. But great music.
Not sure what the point of this video is..
The point is to show how a front-loading turntable, which is a bit more unconventional than a standard turntable, plays and sounds.
