@ it’s really undeads only viable way to siege that’s why it needs a buff. 200 mana is too much, 25 seconds to do 100% dmg is too long. Similar spells like earthquake got buffs in 2020. Earthquake costs 125 mana (down from 150) and lasts 20 sec (down from 25) seconds to do its dmg.
They should really cut the price, pop space, and build times for housing in half. It would allow for a fuller base with more buildings and structure, players would be better able to build their bases in a way to protect their gold better. At current cost its not feasible, but its almost worth over building to get a structure to protect your more valuable buildings from quick raids. Just thinking out loud.
Buildings are fine, it's just tanks, because they have super long melee range (longer than rooted ancients for unknown reasons). It doesn't matter if you protect your gold with maze, tanks can just brute force through your maze. At the current cost and xp worth of tanks, they're just braindead OP units. The fact that you can staff them and heal them to full for no cost is just extra ridiculousness. At the HU's rate of donating flying machines and tanks, UD heroes ought to be all level 6s and the game would have turned out differently. Instead as they are chasing worthless XP in tanks just to survive, you can instead creep with your HU heroes, which is a farce.
@zxbc1 dang....this game has so many balance issues it's kind of frustrating. Trying to stay optimistic that they will try to actually fix some of these issues and make the game more balanced. I'm also an Age of Empires II player, and if Warcraft could get 25% of the time and genuine effort AoE has it would be nothing short of tremendous. But I don't know if its through ineptitude or apathy, but Blizzard seems allergic to revitalizing this game fully.

There's quite a few that are absolute trash, and death and decay is way up on that list.
