Man.....i was looking for secret biomes or caves beacuse it always says the biomes were complete and I have dozens of planets with 1-2 fauna left. Was pissing me off tbh thank you
You're welcome. I was convinced I was missing a biome too and wished there would be a biome overlay option in the game. Then, I found my first aquatic life.
So I am on Huygens 3 and cannot for the life of me find the last fauna. It’s not in oceans or water that I can find. I’m at 86% on mountains, and 90% in deciduous forest and everything else is 100% including the oceans and coastal areas. I’ve searched these biomes for 2 days of playing and can’t find this last one
Crank the difficult to maximum. It makes fauna spawn more frequently. It's either being stubborn in spawning (happened to me a couple times) or it's birds/small. If you find a cluster of life, look at the ground. Often the small critters will spawn in with the herds of other lifeforms.
Aight, this is actually really simple to solve. First, make sure where you landed has the word (coast) in the name. If it doesn't, you won't have the ocean biome. Next, open up your surface map. It's not very good, but it has some terrain details. Look for the part of the map sloping downwards more so than the rest of the map. That's your coastline. If you need to keep track of the direction, drop a marker on the map where you think it is. The few times I've done this while exploring, it has worked.
@@MrCardoso441 Check to see if the planet has ocean life. Hover over the ocean or try to drop a destination on the ocean. If there is no percentage over the ocean biome then that planet has no documentable ocean life. In that's the case check the biome percentages. If you are at 100% there is nothing new to discover in that biome. The two most easily missed lifeforms are birds and small creatures that don't rise above the grass. A few planets have bird like creatures. Those are scannable. Most of the time it is tracking down those small creatures. They tend to appeare where other life spawns. If you see a cluster of life look towards the ground with the scanner. Most of the time I walk around with teh scanner on. It'll highlight life and plants for you.
@@MrCardoso441 Sometimes biomes are completed easy peasy lemon squeezy. Other times you're walking around for half an hour looking for whatever you missed. Makes sure you set the difficulty to very hard before you land. It makes more creatures appear. Allowing you to complete exploration faster. The two perks related to plants and animals, max them out. At max you only have to scan four of a plant and four of an animal to get them documented. Do quick save after completing some progress. Nothing sucks worse than being surprised ganked and having to hunt down a bunch of plants and animals again. If you run across fights too hard, just drop the difficulty back down. Kill your target. Then raise it back up and continue exploring. That's also one of the techniques for quick leveling.
If you are missing Fauna, click on the ocean to see if it has a percentage. Each planet has only a handful of biomes with crossover between them. Keep clicking on biomes until you discover one without 100%. Then choose that as a landing site. Now for the fun part. Sometimes a lot of walking before you discover the creature you're looking for. I've had worlds that were done in minutes and ones where I probably walked around for a good length of time. Higher difficulty spawns more creatures or so I've been told. Keep an eye on the sky. If you see things flying those are scanable. Next keep an eye on the ground. Some planets have small life that is close to the ground. I just walk around with my scanner on as it highlights everything.
Nice one! Cheers for the help!
tyvm, I was walking around so much before this
Perfect, I was wondering if Coast was the solution
Nice one!

Jesus thank you
It's the Ghost Grazers that's causing me a headache...
Try wandering around with the scanner on. That' generally made it easier for me.
@@Gamers-Haunt tried that. Tried quitting and reentering the game. Tried everything from Reddit. They're simply not showing up. Moving on.

Does this work with hostile environments all I found was frostbite lol
