This update had a lot of stuff, everyone is going to need to get use to, and figure out how to manage. Although, I think the thing that caught me off guard the most is the constant ticking of the solar panels. I have my Venus solar farm on the roof of my base and now all I hear is a constant 'tick-tick' as they are adjusted throughout the day. I am now seriously considering ripping the solar panels off my roof and moving them to the next valley over to get rid of the noise. However, I am looking forward to doing a few experiments with those new Heat-Exchangers, I want to see how well they work, and if I can use it to replace a few cold chambers I have setup to basically do the job of heat exchanges. Maybe I'll run some side by side comparisons to see how it does.
Can't say I've experience the tick tick yet but then again my solar panels are far enough away to not cause me any issues. Lots of need sounds though or at least louder. You shall have to let me know how you get on with the Heat exchangers.
so i think im the first one to watch this vid, loads of new stuff, always good to see from an early access game. i keep thinking about starting up my first game, and then get scared about just how complex this game actually is, so ive done the tutorial and thats it, lol. I would suggest you have a living area next to your main airlock. you have a large area there that you can use and its not being used for anything else right now, i will be there for the live stream, just let us know when bud
Get started on it dude, if you are worried about food and water you can turn that down or off in the settings. Then all you have to worry about it power and oxygen to begin with and to be honest you get plenty of o2 in the portable tank on the lander. Trust me the start is not that complex. Then you can tackle one issue at a time as they come up. Turn food and water on when you are ready. Glad you are still enjoying the series though 😁
I would imagine as long as the server was up and running the hours would tick down yes. So on a community server someone would have to log on every 33 hours looking at some of the decaying times to plant fresh crops. Will have to see if a cold storage room with the right gas would give more time I guess.

those who have built large greenhouses to produce food and oxygen will have to throw away a lot of food 🤬🤬
True, however now will be a good time to experiment with the automation side of hydroponics to keep a constant turn over of food I guess.

Egg carton doesn't decay.. the eggs inside do though..
Ah man, that makes perfect sense. Didn't even check. Will be the first thing I look at when I jump back on.
On a server it would be clock time, right?
