As a frequent user trying to get educated, I didn’t appreciate Tana’s condescending attitude. Dismissing the spiritual/social aspects of it, saying most people use it because they don’t have anything else better to do… I’m glad I stayed for the rest of the video, but gosh please show a little more empathy.
Only commenting because I appreciate the information. I’d just prefer not to feel belittled while trying to learn.

I agree; she comes from a heavy bias. I thoroughly enjoyed his perspective and science-based evidence. It gave me perspective, and being someone who has been in that "industry" for over ten years, it added value to some things I said for years. I am not anti by any means. However, I have advocated for years on a more responsible and ethical use approach rather than anecdotal effects. When it comes to spirituality, I believe no one should question another's practice, beliefs, or modalities used to achieve what they intend to by opening the mind. It's a journey of the self.

I love this podcast, so helpful. I had 1 draw of 1 spliff 1 time luckily it did nothing for me apart from give me a sore throat, i left it alone. Wasn't so lucky with just tobacco. Thankfully, i eventually gave it up cold turkey. I really appreciate the variety of information provided here, especially, the knowledge shared about replacement, replacing the addiction that is vital important information, and knowledge to work on. It can be so key in being able to decide to quit. Often, it is the most scary part of the journey many people become stuck on either side of that. Things made popular in society which are not good for us is not an easy thing to talk about, especially, when its putting profit in somebody elses pocket. I appreciate your strength and bravery as you make the world a better place for us all. Thank you both so much for such understandable content and for sharing. ❤

I’ve seen teenagers on marijuana that became schizophrenic later on. It started with marijuana use. This needs more study.

Totally agree with the some points on motivation and addictive behavior but on the spiritual stand point, as an avid previous user, it helped me to be more in tune with spirit world and I am more spiritual than ever before because I started smoking weed. When I smoke, I intuitively want to meditate, journal and do all this spiritual rituals that I never learned to do before. I am more aware and I have more faith for higher beings than before. However, the problem for smoking regularly for long term was it made me not to take effective actions outside. I rather do spiritual practices than focusing on my career which made me realize I was circling in one place. I don't give blame the weed. If anything, it deepened my understanding of self through direct experience which is something hard to learn from others because every person is on different paths and something hard to learn from a book. Even though my understanding of myself is deepened, in the last four years, nothing much has changed in my waking life. I didn't worked hard to build my career like my other friends nor I didn't build new relationships so I decided to quit get back into the battlefield of life.

What he says affects people here in Germany in a completely different way. However, the use of cannabis is criminalized and it is still not viewed correctly, or people are still treated incorrectly...

I learnt information I did not know. Thnx. I learned you can put on 120 pounds. Some peoples brains are extremely active so they use; i knew before that some peoples brains were too active but I did not realize for some people, it was a life or death situation. I also learnt more stuff. Im surprised I learned more stuff because I used to read the addictions section of a website called uncommon forum and about 99% of the posts were about marijuana. Uncommon forum shut down some years ago.
I pick and choose a few reggae songs, because I only like a few of them. And I ignore all the ones about marijuana. My mom is half jamaican and was raised mostly in Jamaica.
When i was younger i shared some songs I did not agree with or would do.
Anyway, thank you for your enlightening podcast.

Although I tried it - in THC form - beforehand, I once did it in a high quantity with THC edibles in a ceremony, and all I did was have insomnia and food cravings before vomiting most of the food that I ate afterwards. As a result, I largely stay away from it.

The problem with this interview is it is not valid research it is all some woman's opinion which she makes clear she has an exagerated fear of drugs due to her addicted family growing up. I don't care what she thinks, I want to see the data.
