"It feels amazing. The Moulin Rouge is such an iconic place, it's such an iconic establishment not just in Paris but around the world. It's known globally, and it's such an honour to dance here every single night. We do two shows every single night here at the mill and to have our mill back up and running it feels like a new chapter has begun, yet nothing is new we are just continuing on and it's amazing. It feels amazing to dance here every single night, and it's so nice to feel like it's back in one piece."

"It's a very special evening, a lot of pressure of course, a lot of excitation as well because two months ago we were very shocked about what happened here at the Moulin Rouge. So, a lot of pressure because we wanted to be ready for the Olympics this summer, especially before the 15th July because we have here the flame coming here in front of the Moulin so we will have a special event for that. So, it is a lot of excitation tonight because the windmill without it's wings it is a little bit sad, no?"

    20. SOUNDBITE (English) Jean-Victor Clerico, managing director of the Moulin Rouge:
"The can-can dance is born here in the Moulin in 1889. Since then, we always have the can-can in the show because it is a strong message, you know, at that time artists, women, you know, were claiming their own rights a long time ago already, with this dance. Because the dance at that time, dancing was not allowed for a woman alone, and the can-can dance was the way for them to, you know, to just exist and, you know, try to make the society evolve."

    22. SOUNDBITE (English) Jean-Victor Clerico, managing director of the Moulin Rouge:
"Our job is to put on stage a show that will, of course, make people happier and just forget, you know, troubles of daily life. We are facing a lot of troubles here in France, in the world, and our job for us is honestly, you know, to produce happiness with the show. And we can tell that when we see the people leaving out the Moulin after show, you know, they are always smiling, singing, and it's wonderful for us because it means that we are successful."
