- Margaritaville at sea is one of the "newer" cruise ships you can travel on in the US. So far, Margaritaville at sea has not gotten the best reviews since its start in 2022. In this video we will be boarding the margaritaville at sea cruise ship for a 2 night trip to the Bahamas. We never been this old of a ship and its been very eye opening. The big question is, is Margaritaville at sea worth the money you are spending on it? We'll let you know if it is.

This cruse sounds perfect for me. I don’t like large crowds. I like a relaxed atmosphere this looks like I could do that on this cruise.
I absolutely love that your traveling, supporting small businesses, and living your best lives while your young.
I just got off of this ship this morning and had a blast. Never cruised before, so nothing to compare it to. If you have a few days off just go for it. It will be hard to have a terrible time, especially if you're with friends. If you're new to cruises like me, maybe this cruise will be your gateway because now my lady and I want to explore others. That said, we wouldn't hesitate at all to go back to Magaritaville.
This ship is definitely what you make of it, and someone expecting the same thing they might get on the larger cruise lines will probably be disappointed. It was fun for us for a weekend getaway, but we definitely wouldn't travel a long distance to go on it.
Although your channel is not for me, I accidentally happened upon it, I watched a few videos and just wanted to say you both are so adorable. You seem so happy and you don't seem to do the "clickbait" thing. That is refreshing. Thanks for the info.

The only cruise I plan on doing is here on UA-cam lol. But if i did.... this one looks like one I'd like. Not gone too long and not too many people. A few drinks, time to catch up with my hubby, a little shopping and a good pizza. Perfect!

We were on the ship for New Years Eve and it was great. No bad smells and everyone was just having so much fun. Staff was wonderful!

It's pronounced 'Port Lou-kye-uh'. You guys should always eat conch fritters with you're in the northern Caribbean - it's a street food locals eat all the time (I used to live there), and it's good for you! Also, in the Bahamas it's common to drink whole milk with a splash of coconut cream and light rum. You should try Kalik beer - it's a Bahamian beer! So, go out at night and find some flowers - then shine that UV light on them. You will be shocked at what you see - bees and other pollinators see in UV, so the flowers adapted to this by producing pigments that these insects can clearly see - and usually they look like targets, pointing right to the pollen!!! Seriously, give it a try - it's REALLY awesome. Also, when you're out hiking or on the beach shine the UV light on the rocks - some will glow. I have a fish tank filled with UV rocks (no water), with a UV light cover. I turn it on at night, and it is sooooo cool. Keep up the great work - I love your videos; they're super informative. Thanks for making them! I was thinking of taking a Margaritaville cruise - now, not so much. Those ships really do seem more like ferries (or party boats) like you said...

They should stop watering down the drinks, get rid of "formal" dining, have more live music and just market themselves as a booze cruise. There's nothing wrong with that and it would make things less confusing for people considering booking a cruise. 🤷♂️

Great honest review! I have been on a little over 20 cruises and was tempted to take a quick last minute trip. I would have cruised this week but decided against it. I'm so glad I passed! I was very suspicious of the glowing reviews on FB. Thank you again for the detailed review!
I definitely couldn't do that for more than 2 days. I'm glad you said it isn't a good 1st cruise. I would agree. Yet I'm hard pressed to say who Margaritaville is good for? Initially I thought it would be good for people who actually do enjoy drinking But based on your review they didn't even seen to excel in that area. I think if I lived in Florida I would still try to get a last minute cruise on one of the other lines or just fly to the Bahamas and stay at a resort for 2 nights. It seems like not a good use of the space in the design of the ship or like you said, they ran out of money. Anyway, glad the 2 of you found some good things and were overall just glad to have a quick getaway.

You two are such a cute couple and it was interesting to learn about the cruise :) I liked that it was mostly adults and quiet. But yeah, I'm not boujee but it did look very uh...cheap? LOL
This was my first cruise ever 2/25/24.
Stayed in Oceanview Room 4051 (Was upgraded for free).
I think they listen to the criticism as my drinks were strong.
There were no bad smells in bathroom, or anywhere on the ship that I noticed.
I’m a FL resident (3 hour drive to West Palm).
I would rather do this 2 day cruise 4-6 times yearly than a bigger one once a year.
They will be adding a 3 day option within the next few months and a 2nd ship that will go to Mexico for 4 days.
The food wasn’t amazing, but was plentiful. If your either local, introverted, not much extra money and simplistic type like myself, you will love this peaceful weekend getaway like I did

We were on this ship in 2007, whole boat booked for AANR .

I never thought about getting on Margaritaville, but now I am definitely booking. I need a 2 day get away plus I live in Fort Lauderdale so its not too far. Just the fact they have karaoke I am so down for this adventure.

I watch a few regular cruise channels and I heard Margarittaville have offered a $900 use as many times as you want until the end of 2023 travel package but there are a whole lot of rules you have to follow if you get this package so you might want to elaborate on that. $900 to cruise as often as you want for 8 months is pretty good but there is a bit if fine print to this deal.
It’s literally just the sailing fare, for each individual sailing that you go on, you have to pay all of your food, drinks, Port fees, and taxes.
We had thought it sounded too good to be true, and it is. You can’t sail on back to back cruises (you have to sit out at least one in between), you can only book 24-72 hours in advance, and you still have to pay all of the port fees, taxes, gratuities, and fuels surcharges for each person. So after paying $899, you will still pay probably close to $250 a cruise in additional fees. Not a deal in our opinion.
Love a good indoor/outdoor space on a cruise ship!
My only cruise has been a Hawaiian Island weeklong 4-island trip back in the mid-80's. The ship was the "Constitution", built in the 1950's for trans-Atlantic voyages. I don't recall any bad smells that any of us noticed on this 30 year old ship, so I'd guess this one has some issues to address.
As far as the minimalism of a Margaritaville cruise, that's what I would hope for in a Jimmy Buffet-inspired cruise. It's about being out on the water, hitting a nice port or two, and making your own fun along the way. See Snoop Dawg's beer commercials as an example of the proper vibe.
You know what I was on the celebration in Feb my room bathroom smell like sewage all the time. I used my whole can of room spray in the bathroom.

I really feel like i would go on Margaritaville at sea if it were new. Like if the ship was new and nice, I would definitely go when I visit my family in West Palm. 2 day cruises are perfect for quick getaways

My wife and I are avid cruisers (over 25 each under our belts aboard most of the major lines) and are considering this cruise not as a "cruise," per se', but to ferry us to/fro the Viva Wyndham Fortuna resort for their Cruise and Stay package. Having been all over the Caribbean and Mexican Riviara: we are looking for something a little different and for the price and itinerary, think this might be ticket.

Okay, yall, because of this vlog, I purchased my trip on the Margaritaville for the end of July, and of course, days after I purchased my trip, I found out that because I am an ED nurse, I could have got my ticket for free. Well, I know for next time. I can't wait for this short chill trip.

Just go for yourself! It is about $500 for a couple. Less than the cost of 6 full buffets and a place to sleep for two nights on land.

So if you want all the awesomeness of the smaller older ships with big open spaces and less people. But all the quality of the Carnival mega ships you like. Try a "Spirit" class Carnival ship. All were built in the late 2000's and are my favorite way to cruise.
I have an overly sensitive sense of smell. I actually get headaches from smells. So I don't know if I could handle being stuck at sea with random smells.

Lucaya Market, good to have the name. I went before but didn’t know the name. You can get a shared shuttle for like $7 or something like that and they make a couple rounds back to the ship. I had conch salad from the stand you mentioned and it was good. Lots of conch and tasty

Example....order vodka on the rocks with some cranberry on the side. Pack booze in your bag. For what you spent, a stay cation on the beach could be tons better
I like older smaller intimate ships. I won't sail on an oasis class or celebration class ship just for your reason. You shouldn't have to go searching for the water while you're on a ship.
