- With Inflation rising across Europe, many countries are facing a cost of living crisis.
In Spain, one of the hardest hit countries, the cost of food and energy has risen sharply with the price of electricity almost doubling in the last year.
The Spanish government has introduced tax cuts and promised to increase minimum wage in an attempt to compensate, but Spanish workers are still struggling to make ends meet.

Most people simply enter the foreign exchange market without comprehending matters like this.
The first stage in building money is determining your goals and risk tolerance, which you may do on your own or with the assistance of a financial counselor who works with a verified Finance agency.
And also you can learn the facts about saving and investing and create a clear plan, you should be able to acquire financial security over time and enjoy the benefits of income management
You are correct! Working with a financial advisor who has worked in a solid financial firm for a long time, such as John Desmond Heppolette, will actually set you up for success in life. I'm delighted I was able to reach out to "John Desmond Heppolette " earlier this year because while others were grumbling about the downturn in the markets due to the state of the economy, I was busy learning from him and eventually made over seven figures in the first quarter alone, which is why it's always good to join the correct community.
Yeah, that guy is one asset manager that gives the breakdown of everything on how things are done, joining an effective financial community can be 100% beneficial when joined properly that's all I can say out of experience

And yet here in Andalucia I can hardly GIVE my fruit away -- when I have avocados, everyone has avocados. (But in the supermarket you pay 4€ plus per kilo). When I have walnuts, oranges, almonds and olives, so does everyone else. Like many others, I don´t have commercial quantities, but I´d like to contribute my surplus.
It is my hope that as things get more difficult, communities will get together and establish food cooperatives.

There's already food cooperatives but they basically scam local farmer into selling them the fruit for pennies and then they sell them to retail for a lot more. But I agree we have to make a system to distribute the surplus of local farmers between us

The truth is that food inflation is crazy everywhere, all governments are attempting to downplay it.
Every government is claiming single-digit (5-7%)when the reality is more like 50-100%
TVs may stay the same price but pasta and bread are off the scale.
Well I guess the doctors will stop complaining we are all getting fat.
True. It's getting very bad. It's worldwide. With heavy Snow and Winter, people can't even use heaters anymore , they need to buy food.
Yes this is everywhere come to Canada and you will see that same if not more expensive we live in a lie
Where you liveing in UK 10 years food prices in super markets just increased on average 25-50 % . So it's just 2.5%-5% a year inflation witch is much better like third countries .
in my place the prices is the same but burger is smaller then before! cheat!
You actually forgot to cover the main issue, which is housing, especially in southern regions like Malaga. Before 2010, in Fuengirola you could still find a 3 bedroom apartment for roughly 500 bucks a month, now you'll be lucky to find one for 800. And the biggest issue is that wages have never kept up with inflation. Even the recent wage increase is not gonna make any difference as the social security just doesn't give a fuck about how much companies are actually paying people.
The average wage in fuengirola is around 1100 bucks which was very good a decade ago, but will hardly get you to month end anymore. If you have a partner who also works full time then you may be able to get through the month, otherwise, you are in for a tough ride.
1100 bucks a month sounds good compared to some places in the USA lol 🤣
A lady in New Zealand is wrapped to rent a garden shed for $220.00 per week! She is able to access the kitchen and bathroom in the house but Heck! A shed to me is one step to being homeless. Winter won't be kind.
Here in Tasmania, a large island of Australia with less than 600,000 people, we are looking at around $2000 per month for an average rental. It’s going insane. Some small country towns have seen property prices rise by $200,000 in a single year.
minimum wage is portugal is 630€. a 3 bedroom house in lisbon costs 1500. stop complaining.
Try London
Everywhere everyone is having a hard time Price's keep getting higher but the wages and benefits don't seem to keep up with the price of every day living

Things are cheaper here in spain compared to other e.u. countries but the main problem is not food prices as we know its going up world wide, the real problem here is housing and rent.
Here in Turkey, everything almost doubled it's price. Bills, food, energy... Minimum wage increased about %150 but people are struggling a lot to make both ends meet. I don't know if this inflation is caused by pandemic but it looks like we are gonna miss how we had things before.

Hard truth is that governments are weaker than ever to help curb these inflation issues because they also have no money to enforce much change. The billionaires of this world make more than most governments and they refuse to let go of their money.

A lot of national markets have gone downhill because of aggresive takeovers. Its sad really. Spain, welcome to our reality. In Russia price of the food (and everything else) constantly grows up from end of 2014 (after Crimea thing). And mentioned in video problems are just 1st stage. On 2nd stage they’ll get deterioration of quality (cheaper ingredients), shrinking sizes (for example 1 liter of milk became 900 ml in one bottle, 100 grams bar of chocolate will shrink to 80-85 grams and so on). They mentioned potato. In 2014 potato costs 10-12 rubles per kilo, now it ranged between 45 and and 80 (depends on place and quality). Our prices are skyrocketing but the salaries of the most citizen remains near 2014-2015 years...

This is why housing is very dear where there are jobs and relatively cheap, if available, in rural areas.People all over the world are flocking to capital cities and large cities because the opportunities available in rural areas without familial access to land are non-existent.
We need more scientist, cleaners, engineers, farmers, plumbers, innovators and generally good natured people in the world, and less entertainers, Instagram models... All these problems stem from gluttony, greed, and selfish people, they're the ROOT🌴 of the problem.
nah crypto and metaverse is the future its more important than food, water, shelter and power/energie haha
Actually most problems stem from government and their policies.

Even in UK the cost of living it’s so expensive and increase in london
The actual price of fuel hasn't really gone up. We as people are just paying extra taxes on everything and receiving less services in return
Nope, not even close. Fuel prices have gone up because during the pandemic the demand for oil went down thus big oil firms -in europe gazprom especially- closed extraction sites+ specialized workers were layed of to compensate the losses. Now there is a shortage and companies can not produce enough. In addition Russia limited the oil supply due to the Ukranian crisis. Taxes were not implemented on oil products since 2018.
Bingo.
@@finglavina5804 nonsense. It's higher tax on everything. Tax, tax, tax

Extremely interesting and informative.

this is nothing to compared to here in turkey , electricity price went up 120% in 2022, people are paying more to electricity than rent
I'm sorry! That's hard.
I’m sorry. So many people are suffering.
Thank your government
Living in a third world country, it’s very difficult but since I am in the Philippines we are somehow resilient and trying to recover Covid19. Our fellowmen are flying to rich countries to make out of living and then convert the income here in the Philippines so that the families will live better.
Same in uk and most places
the palm oil price in my country is crazy it's up by almost 2x as it used to be,we have a crisis in a country of palm oil producer
such a shame because l remember the Spain with amazingly cheap groceries.. At least before 6 years when l was been in LasPalmas living almost one year there..
Something similar is happening in Canada.
In Italy the situation is similar, with skyrocketing electricity prices
it´s happening in Colombia too!
Sorry Spain! We in Australia & NZ are feeling the same too.
Same in the US food, fuel, and cars are becoming more expensive.
Why is the BBC worried about the cost of living in Spain it should report on the rise in Britain
Yeah.....these things ONLY happen in Britain . They couldn't happen in the great EU. Brexit....blah, blah
blah....
Lucky you. My pension increase this year is 80p a week!
We have cooking oil crisis here where the price went up from $1 per litre to $3. It forced our gov to flood the market with cheap cooking oil to stabilize the price otherwise wed be seeing other commodities go up too.

I have relatives living in Spain for many years and by what they have always say: the cost of living in Spain is through the roof. Nothing new for me.
It's a no-brainer that financial crisis stands to be every retirees nightmare. I feel exceptionally lucky I started investing early and consistently compounded my income via assets to create more cash flow. I grew to a 7 figure mark lnvestment. Passive income is mandatory for building long term wealth. Make FIRE movement a lifestyle
@Augusta Green What one investor considers a "good" ROI may be unacceptable to another. A good return varies by risk tolerance, the more risk you're willing to take, the higher return you'll expect. Conversely, risk-averse; Getting a lA to help you set suitable strategies to enhance your return more effectively remains a priority
I highly recommend (Genevieve Glen Rogers) an lnvestment advisor working under a licensed body of a wealth management firm. You can do a quick internet search with her full name and get in touch with her.
The important thing about wealth planning is having a proper plan. The idea of working with a professional is great because it will help you plan well, avoid some mistakes beginners make, and create a good income for the long term. I have been working with one for years and it has shaped my finances.
Wow! Stumbled here with the same wealth manager which my colleagues at work always attest to her great skills and her experience in financial planning. She operates with bigger investors but her services to average individuals are philanthropic. Good deeds they say, fly easily..... Genevieve is great!!
In the past 3 years, I have gone from $25 an hour ( Internship after college ) and now in 2022, I am at 205k. I am moving more and more money into assets. It is really cool to see my M1 account paying back dividends
Same place where Real Madrid buys 100 million player 🤔
The same thing is happening here In Africa Kenya, most homes have resulted to planting their own food especially vegetables
The cost of living has gone up in the entire world.
The main problem in Spain is the outrages amount of taxes. 60% of gas prices are taxes, 30% of electricity bill are taxes…
Same in England
Patatas bravas is not aclasic spanish dish is just a cheap tapa
It is funny that..
There are more food being thrown out due to oversupply and few demands but prices continue to increase
And UK
Groceries are actually cheaper in Spain than in China. That's the most shocking thing I noticed when I came to China, and this was 3 years ago!
Now meat prices are insane! If this keeps going this way, soon groceries prices will be at level of Hong Kong...
Don't eat meat
China, especially Tier 1 cities, are very expensive. Nothing that I bought was cheaper in China and I lived there for 2 years.
Looking at how nasty the interannual increase in groceries and gas is, I began investing existing savings and montly savings into gold/silver bullion coins. Whatever happens to Spain, banks, or the Euro, in 5-10 years doesn't look fun.
yeah, it is happening everywhere.. Nowadays in the main cities such as Bcn or Mad you can pay 1.80 euros 98 petrol litre... Really amazing keeping in mind the average salary in the country
Same in my country
One thing I noticed in this report was mention of Spain's "left-wing government". Since this is a global problem, why mention it? If it's related to heavy taxation or some other policy of the government like closing a power plant, then say so.
Meanwhile too many people in the USA would tell people they should just work harder or find a better job to deal with the rising costs and then blame the president without taking in consideration the other factors.
Ah yes, a constructive rebuttal to a European problem. Posit what Americans WOULD say.
I shared this with someone Thursday. Crazy the price increases
Italy as always is leading the trend. The price of gas was increased 365%. The price of fuel about 50%. Electricity, water and all the other services increased over 100%. The price of food is still holding but for its dear life. I expect that will go up significantly. So, prepare yourself if you plan to visit Italy this year. You will have to get used to much higher prices of everything. The wages are still the same though 😅. We have a ville banker as a prime minister
It could have been worse, we could have had a socialist prime minister.

What has happened to Europa, what have made great people unable to afford potatoes
It is true that fossil fuel power plants are currently operating at full power in Europe, but it seems that the price of energy is still rising. The "ideal" invented by some Europeans seems to make Europeans happy. The Climate Action Network (CAN) has given Japan a fossil award every time, but it is possible that European countries will also receive it in the near future. 😎

A Very well documentary on "how to cook a simple potato dish" lol seriously gonna try that
🤡. Very difficult
The sauce of "Papas bravas" should be homemade, it's what makes the dish. Don't know how this place in Madrid can have the best when they used sauce from a bottle
It does look yummy! Also try Spanish omelette as it has potatoes inside
