    PLEASE CHECK SIZE MEASUREMENTS!
    I messed up some of the calculations and a lot of the size are one half size or full sizes smaller than I meant them to be. I have used a size guide to check what my size measure actually corresponds too. If you want it more on the more fitted size then follow the measurements for your usual size as is - so the first size written. But if you want a more relaxed/regular fit, go with your closest size from the brackets.
    XS (like a regular XS/S) - 40.5cm width, 44cm length
    S (reg S)- 42cm width, 46cm length
    M (reg S/M)- 46.5cm width, 46cm length
    L (reg M/L)- 51cm width, 48cm length
    XL (reg L)- 55.5cm width, 50cm length
    XXL (reg XL)- 60cm width, 52cm length
    XXXL (reg XXL)- 64.5cm width, 52cm length
    Width is from underarm on one side to the other side with the vest laying flat. It does have so stretch so will stretch further if it’s tighter.
    The length is from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the vest including the ribbing.

      Are these the final bust measurements?

      @@razanhassan909 hi! This is the measurement from under one arm to the other side under the arm with the vest being flat. But it does also have some stretch so it will stitch bigger than that if it’s tighter

    I loved it! The instructions are super clear (would say that they are even a little bit too detailed for my personal taste haha), and I absolutely adore the design! I made the xs size and was pleased that it had the same a little roomy fit on me as the s size on the photos; already got a lot of compliments wearing it🌷 thank you so much

    Hi, thank you for this easy to follow pattern so far :) I am coming to the end of the front panel, but I think I've done something wrong... When I finish the second shoulder part, I end up at the top rather at the bottom, so I'm not sure how to start the under arm part without adding another row to get back down to the bottom. Hopefully that makes sense - do you know what I could do to get back on track without having to restart the whole front panel again?

    • @StephanieTashi
      @StephanieTashi  8 місяців тому +1

      I’m so glad you like it! But no worries I’m sure we can fix it 😊 I can think of two options but the first would involve some unravelling. If you want to do that you could just unravel until you get back to where you started the increases for the shoulder and add one more row to the straight section across the front, then continue with the shoulder portion from there. The other option which involves no unravelling would be to put slip stitch from the top of the shoulder to where you would stitch up to from the bottom. So you’d put in the stitch marker from the bottom and then slip stitch to it. Once you reach it, you’d go back to the regular stitch pattern to the end, turn, and come back up to the top of the first proper stitch you did. Then when you turn, you’ll need to put a slip stitch into the first 3 stitches then continue with the regular stitches and repeat that version of the decreases to the end of the panel. By the time to stitch on the ribbing for the arms I don’t think the slip stitches would be noticeable 😊 I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions 🥰🥰

    Thank you so much for the super cute pattern! Quick question: When you put the number of rows (ex. 31 rows for the straight back section) do you start counting the rows from the row that you just showed? Is this question making sense lol? I'm just trying to clarify which row is the first row I am counting.

    • @StephanieTashi
      @StephanieTashi  6 місяців тому +1

      No problem! And your question makes sense haha - sorry that it was confusing in the video! That’s the number of rows for the entire section, so including the rows you’ve already done. It should be 31 rows in total 😊 please let me know if you have any more trouble! 🥰

    Hi! Loving this pattern so far, just curious - how long is the finished length for a medium? I'm working on it now and I feel like it may be too short on me but not 100% sure. Hoping you can help? Thanks! 🥰

    • @StephanieTashi
      @StephanieTashi  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi! Thanks so much 🥰 the full length of the medium from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the ribbing should be around 48cm 😊 if you’ve already done a lot you could make the ribbing at the bottom a bit wider if you want it to be longer. But if you’re starting over you can add stitches to the foundation chain but just make sure to add stitches in groups of 3 😊
      I hope this helps 🥰

    • @StephanieTashi
      @StephanieTashi  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks so much! Yes you could definitely make it with wool or a wool blend 😊 I only used this yarn because it was left over from something else and I didn’t want to waste it. If I was buying yarn again specifically for this vest, I would definitely consider wool 🥰

  • @user-th3kb9js4x
    @user-th3kb9js4x 6 місяців тому

    Hi I was just wondering if it made a difference if you used a different yarn to the stitch count? For example using cotton yarn or 4 ply? Thanks x

    • @StephanieTashi
      @StephanieTashi  6 місяців тому

      Hi! Yes it would make a different to use 4 ply cotton yarn. The cotton may not be as much of an issue especially if it’s a cotton blend but if it’s pure, it won’t have as much stretch as wool or acrylic and will probably be heavier. It could still work though - just depends what you are going for. And for 4ply, I’ve used 10ply so using the stitch counts will end up with a smaller vest than the size I’ve made. If you want to use 4 ply yarn I would ignore the stitch counts and use the cm/inch measurements instead 😊 I hope this helps 🥰🥰

    • @StephanieTashi
      @StephanieTashi  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi! I used a women’s sizing chart to do the sizes so I’m not sure what the men’s equivalent would be. I’ve pinned a comment that has the finished garment measurements for the different sizes so if you can find a men’s sizing chart you hopefully can work out the closest men’s size. It’s also a bit cropped so you may need to add length by making the foundation chain a bit longer 😊

    • @StephanieTashi
      @StephanieTashi  9 місяців тому

      Thanks so much! I don’t think that would affect anything 😊 you’ll just have to follow the cm/inch measurements instead of the stitch counts! If anything looks weird let me know and I’ll try to help but I can’t think of any other adjustments you’d need to make 😊

      Thank you! For a vest that goes from my shoulders to my waist (I’m a UK size 8) roughly how long does my initial chain need to be in cm’s please? Want to make sure it’s long enough 😄

    • @StephanieTashi
      @StephanieTashi  9 місяців тому

      @@EveSulley-yc8db I’m also a size UK 8 and it comes just past my waist so if you made that first foundation chain a little shorter that should work! Mine is 16 cm so maybe about 14cm but I couldn’t say for certain - I do have a shortish torso so it will depend on your body. If you wanted it to be exact you could measure from about 10cm under your armpit to your waist to work out how long you want your vest, then take 5cm off that account for the ribbing. Hopefully this helps 🥰

      Hi! Yeah unfortunately I couldn’t work out a way to do the different sizes with identical stitch patterns 😞 so basically when I do a half double you’ll have to do a slip stitch and visa versa for that section. Continuing to follow the stitch pattern you have been doing but that will be the opposite stitches to what I’m doing. If it’s confusing I can write that section out as a written pattern? 🥰

      I cannot work it out either! What did I do! I think it should have ended on slip stitches. I must have miss counted my rows I'm so sorry! if you want to be able to follow the stitch pattern in the video for the next bit you could take two rows off or add two rows and that should bring you up to the half double crochets. You could measure that section if it's slightly under 20cm add two rows or if it's over remove two rows. Or you could continue with where you are up to but doing the opposite stitch for the next sections.

    I made a mistake but cannot find my error :/
    How many rows should there be before we start with the increases of the back panel? I did everything like you did but I don’t end on half doubles before the first increases?
    My rows (with the starts) are:
    1) 22 loose chains
    2)slip stitches
    3) half double
    4) half double
    5) slip
    6)slip
    Pls help 😅

      Hi! Which size are you making? Some of the sizes will end up on the opposite stitch pattern to mine at points so maybe that’s what it is! The process for doing the stitches will stay the same but you’ll just have to do the opposite stitch to what I do 😊
      Im so sorry that that was confusing in the video!
      If that’s not the issue though let me know and I’ll see if I can help! 🥰🥰

      @@StephanieTashi hi, I‘m making a size small, so I should do everything exactly the way you did. I can’t find my mistake

      @@valerieschwarz3887 oh I only do 3 rows before the increases, 4 if you count the chains. So
      1) chains
      2) slip stitches
      3) half doubles
      4) half doubles
      And then increases on the next row 😊 does that fix it?

      @@StephanieTashi ah yes, I understand. I was confused because you said „continue until you have this many rows“ so I thought u had to add three rows
      Thanks a lot 🫶🏼

    I was wondering why this was so confusing, there are no finished garment sizes so you can decide which one to follow. Although the pattern repeat was clear to me, it could be confusing for beginners. Might be good to first go over the whole process for each section and then go into it. The increase description was also confusing too.

      Hi! Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I had never thought of adding the finished garment measurements before but I think that’s a great idea. I’ve added the measurements to a pinned comment now so hopefully that helps. Summarising the sections before starting is also a good idea- I will try to incorporate that! Sorry that the increase section is confusing but that was best way I could explain it. If you have any questions I’d be happy to write out that section as a written pattern or explain it further. And I also agree that it’s a bit complicated for beginner so I probably wouldn’t be recommending it to them. Thank you again for your feedback - I will definitely try to take it on for my future videos 😊
