Hi there. Not really due to the lip on the seat which fits into the bucket although we've never had a problem and it certainly doest smell. Just don't tip their box up! 😳🤣👌

The poo bucket, the seat and the top lid will fit better if you put the poo-lid behind the container instead of under it.

Is it possible to keep the lid on the poo bucket in between uses?

Actually, I was able to do it and have the seat fit okay.

I could have been wealthier had I figured out how to market a couple of milk crates, bucket, and trash bags for hundreds of dollars.
