Love the British representation but the thing that makes it hard is we don’t have enough items in the sims such as kettles and letter flaps in the door so whenever we make British houses they look American. ❤️ the build looks beautiful nonetheless

Beautiful interpretation of our homes. We mostly live in semi detached and terraced houses here (at least us common folk 😅)
For future reference I'd advise looking up more floor plans. It's kinda hard to describe but we dont really use arches here due to the cold weather. Usually you go in the front porch and theres a hallway with stairs. Typically you turn off to a living room at side with kitchen infront and dining area between them both. A lot of these like my grandma's have conservatory coming off the dining room. Kitchen door leads to back garden. The lil bump outs at side are usually down to ground level and used for laundry, extra freezer space, storage and sometimes a w/c. There usually a door connecting to both the front and back garden. Top of stairs leads to landing and a bathroom, two double rooms and a box room. I hope I helped explain it. I'm from Northumberland, North East England and I've looked at a lot of houses here either in person or on websites and I'd love to see more british homes on youtube. I love your channel and your enthusiasm for squished homes.
The exterior is so nice! Great job on this one. I have a build suggestion, what about you build a house for a plant sim. I have a sim that is a plant sim and I don't know how to build so I would love if you build something for my sim 😅😅
this is amazing!! you nailed the Tudor style houses and the old features merged with modern features (my house is Tudor style, I’m from England), one thing I have to say though is it’s a little too symmetrical !! my whole road is full of Tudor style semi detached houses and majority of people here have had an extension (my own house included) so the exterior doesn’t look the exact same on both sides of the houses, plus the floor plans are drastically different. So for example a few have a garage or an extra room etc. I hope this doesn’t come off as rude, its just a small critique for an amazing build :)

This build is so gorgeous! I think what really impresses me is that this kind of build with this kind of traditional floor plan/layout isn’t what I think of when I think of builds your typically do, but you pull it off just as effortlessly and it looks just as good which is so impressive! I don’t have that versatility at all. I can build in one, maybe two styles, but this build is as amazing as every one you do!

It is cute, well done. Being British the only thing I would say is the front wall between the two separate homes wouldn't be that high. We have wall height laws. We also rarely have archways in old properties to help keep the heat in. We also don't have Walmart 😜 This would be classed as two houses rather than apartments
I realize it would be two houses - did I say otherwise? Wasn't sure what the walmart equivalent was, was just trying to explain my thought process on that room. Thank you for the feedback!

Beautiful, especially the exterior! Although I would have made the single story sections different from the other as these would typically be later extensions so rarely match. I love this style of semi, but they're not really in my part of the UK (which was built up more heavily from the 50s onwards, these were most common in the 30s) so don't think I'll ever get to live in one. :-(

Since lockdown I've been playing sims a lot more but I've found that when I'm doing the kitchen now, where I used to be able to move the counter out to place an item more freely on top then place it back, it doesn't let me anymore and idk why. Now it just says this item must be placed on a surface, any idea why??
Certain items have to be placed on surfaces and always have. Like small appliances: coffee machines, microwaves, etc.

I love watching your builds. But please! If builders could stop using cabinets as entertainment centers. They disappear during game play and just looks like floating objects.
That's odd to hear. I've tested my builds in gameplay that use cabinets as entertainment centers and they never disappear on my end?
@@Gryphi mhmm thats odd..maybe there is a setting? Anytime I tried using cabinets they disappear during game play unless I have the walls all the way up.

About the bakery what about the gtandparents are retired chefs and wanna pass down the bakery to busy office working parents and they have a teen daughter a who has the passion for baking or culinary and likes to paint and a nerdy or maybe athletic boy child who loves gardening...that would be cool and maybe add a pet for the children...

Gave it a thumbs down because the semi detached bit appears to be the only British element to it. Other than that it is a very nice American interpretation of what you imagine a British house to be. So not a criticism just a technical point. I enjoy your videos.
I am limited by whats in game and examples I can find online, unfortunately. I've never been out of the country, so I can't talk from experience...
@@Gryphi Absolutely, you need a trip to the UK! Devon Bumpkin does very British Sims 4 builds.
Unlikely that will ever happen. It's crazy expensive to leave the US. What are things you felt like I missed? Using only in-game content? Curious for future reference as I looked at tons of references.
