Glad to know someone loves the Bee Gees like I do. I've been listening to them since the early 60's. Try For Whom The Bell Tolls or Nights On Broadway next you'll love them too. As all their songs. You have just fallen down a very big and fantastic rabbit hole. Enjoy!
So many Bee Gees songs for you to listen to. I'll suggest one that a casual fan wouldn't know, For Whom The Bell Tolls. Great live version they did with the NY skyline behind them. Robin and Barry both have solo sections in the song.
Love your reaction. They wrote so many great songs it is a deep rabbit hole you will never regret diving in. Some great songs are 1 Nights on Broadway (1975 midnight special), 2 I Surrender, 3 Reaching out, 4 I Will and 5 Wind of change (1979). ❤❤❤
I just listened to Paradise by the bee gees for the first time in a while. It is just beautiful. Love Kiss of Life, too. Just about anything from these amazing singers/performers/ songwriters/producers....
First time I hear this banger! Since someone mentioned already many of their songs, I'm gonna mention some others of their sons that I like: More Than A Woman & Tragedy. I'm also gonna mention the 4th Bee Gee, the youngest brother Andy. He joins them in the song You Should Be Dancing. The music video shows the 4 brothers singing & clips from the movie Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta dancing. Also here's a couple of Andy's solo songs: I Just Want To Be Your Everything & Shadow Dancing
The first riff in this songs belongs to one of the most sampled fragments of alltime hip hop artists - Jay Z, Prince, Snoop Dogg samples this for their hits - their last #1 Billboard hit of sixteen in the US - it start a radio ban of BeeGees tunes for 7 years in the US in cause of disco demolition night on 12th of July 1979 in Chicago - one of the darkest chapters in american music history.
Warning : Bee Gees just keep getting better and better! ❤ Loved your reaction ☺️ I just subscribed! You should check out Nights On Broadway live from The Midnight Special. It's simply incredible!
Love Bee Gees!! Going through their entire catalog is an epic goal - there is so much across so many decades and genres. You will get lots of suggestions for the more popular late 70s hits so I'll throw out some suggestion from other eras "The Change is Made", "Don't Wana LIve Inside Myself", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Man in the Middle", "Fallen Angel", "Wind of Change", and "For Whom The Bell Tolls". That's little variety with various styles and leads to get you started.
I've been waiting for someone to say that..someone else I should say..for too many people, the Beegees both began and ended sometime in the mid to late 70s.Shame.
@@BobCrabtree-ev4rz It's sad really that people miss out on so much fantastic music. I wasn't that big of a Bee Gee fan until I discovered their full catalog, now they are my fav band of all time!!
@@willow_wise l've loved music of many genres for most of my life..the Gibb brothers were such talented and prolific songwriters, there are so many many amazing tracks on their albums that were never released as 'singles',never sung in concert...never made a 'Greatest Hits' collection.Eventually somebody's going to venture 'outside the box'.
@@willow_wiseWithout looking...Angela, Somebody Stop The Music,The Sound Of Love,Baby As You Turn Away,Fanny and Broadway.Oh..and Mr.Natural.And Elisa. And then I would have to look cos I moved recently and the only music I hear is on youtube and...it'll be a bit till I get everything hooked up.But I do like more..just don't remember them..toooo many.
In all honesty... They took over the pop genre in the 70s. They were always genius song writers and performers. Especially in the 60s. The Gibbs brothers had their fingers on the pulse of mainstream popular radio like ALL those english kids who were listening to American blues and radio growing up in the late 1940s; 50s and 60s. Thats why Clapton, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, and the early metal and R&B British groups were sooooooo popular here as they, in England, had pirate radio in the 60s and 70s and had the ports shipping in (at the time of Jim Crow in the states) Blues and R&B records. They didnt have the segregation protocols like here in the states. THATS why Jimi Hendrix was able to blow up there and come back here as a popular artist
Its funny in my pre teen and teen years how much i hated some music and later on in life as you appreciate so much more , the Bee Gees are one of them they are phenomenal 👍✌️💜
I wasn't a huge Bee Gees fan back in the 70s (I didn't dislike them I just wasn't into them), but I discovered their entire catalog a few years ago and become a huge mega fan. They have become my fav band.
@willow_wise Me also ,you know in your teen years , I went threw different phases , little bit heavy metal , a little bit of classic rock , as I got older I appreciated stuff I really didn't back then I agree 👍✌️💜
@@richpardey766 Yea, it's funny, when I listen to songs I use to love (usually classic rock) it doesn't sound as good to me, it seems empty or flat or something. Good thing there is lots of music to choose from at different phases.
Hi Maddy.👋🏽As I stated I’m new to you. Saw the live. Don’t know if you have reviewed the old tune by them I think it’s Too Much Heaven. I saw it and was blown away by the one brother, don’t know his name but he sings most of the song solo. Hope you are well. 💐✨✌🏽
Barry Gibb is the brother that leads this song as well as Too Much Heaven. His other brothers (Robin and Maurice Gibb) are fraternal twins and 3 years younger than Barry. Unfortunately, both Robin and Maurice have passed, leaving only Barry still with us. This year on 9/1/24 he celebrated his 78th birthday as well as his 54th Wedding Anniversary to his wife Linda.
Thank you for keeping on The Bee Gees bandwagon ❤. They are beautiful!!!! I know you’ve done Too Much Heaven, but have you done: HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE STAYING ALIVE YOU SHOULD BE DANCING FANNY BE TENDER JIVE TALKING NIGHT FEVER NIGHTS ON BROADWAY WIND OF CHANGE ….just to name a few…
@@MaddyReactions Not only are the BeeGees a great group, but they also wrote a number of #1 songs for other artists as well. The one that comes to mind is the theme song to the movie "Grease". It was a big hit for Frankie Valli who sang it and Peter Frampton who was on guitar. There is a video of Valli performing the song on Soul Train in the '70s on the internet. When their popularity waned for the BeeGees they would write for artists such as: Barbra Streisand ("Woman in Love"), Dionne Warwick ("Heartbreaker"), Diana Ross ("Chain Reaction"), and Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers ("Islands in the Stream"). One of the interesting things about the song "Islands in the Stream" is that it was originally written for Marvin Gaye as an R&B song, but it was later reworked to fit Parton and Rogers' style.
@@MaddyReactions they said themselves that they consider themselves as songwriters first! They wrote ALL their own songs as well as all those listed above and more! She didn’t even list the songs by their youngest brother Andy Gibb, who had a great solo career!
My favorite BeeGees song! Complex musically...great lyrics!

One of the best lines ever - "Blow out the candle; I will burn again tomorrow.".
Stay on that Bee Gees SOUL TRAIN and checkout arguable their biggest R&B slow jam - it’s a classic “ How deep is your love” ❤️
