  • Montpelier Foundation president Michael Quinn gave American History TV a tour of the life-long home of the fourth President of the United States. In this clip, we visit the library where Madison worked for years to compile his "Notes on the Federal Convention," documenting the 1787 process of creating the constitution.

I have never been to Montpelier, but I have been to Alexander Hamilton's home in NY.

Why did they put statues and cardboard cut-outs of themselves all over the place? That seems a little narcissistic.
But seriously, James Madison has always been my favorite Founding Father and this tour of his house was great and I like his much better than Mt. Vernon or Monticello.

You need to look up the word "narcissistic".
