This causes a lot of trauma, especially when people are stupid enough to use it on cartilage. A proper piercing needle is extremely sharp and hollow to cleanly remove enough tissue for the jewellery to sit in. The piercing gun jewellery itself is usually poor quality, too short so it doesn't allow for swelling, and has a butterfly back which can be "swallowed" by your skin during healing. Proper piercing jewellery uses a longer bar to accommodate for swelling which can be switched to a shorter bar following healing. It's also made of surgical grade steel or titanium (no nickel to avoid allergic reactions) and typically has a flat back. Oh, and getting a piercing with a needle by a professional is typically quicker and less painful than with a gun. It's more expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. Any further questions?

yeah i went from 8g to 6g in 3 weeks because thats how long i waited last time and didnt think that i needed to wait longer the bigger the gauge got for some reason but now it hurts so bad and its already in so.. imma wait until probably mid October to size up again. i need to think this through better lol

Going up a size should never hurt to the point of the reactions they're having. You should wait 6-8 weeks between sizes if not longer between sizes. If you can be patient enough to wait between sizes then you shouldn't be stretching. It's not a race and you WILL seriously mess up your ears.
I can see what you mean I'm watching their 6g and one they are taper stretching and two June 22 to July 8 like no way that a piercing person even Walmart says that what 10 days is ok to switch out I can't even with this it took me almost a year to get to 8g and then I had to go back because my piercing holes were not level

I've been stretching for 8 years and have gone up to just shy of 2 inches and didn't start stretching properly until maybe 1 inch and my ears are fine. Most friends I have who've also stretched started out similarly. They don't go to a high enough size in this video to really matter as much as people make it out to matter.

@@SasuChanLover3 no. I was considering it before saying screw it and sticking the taper in. Every hour I'd push it a little further. Towards the end I waited overnight and finally put the tunnels in. Yes there was pain and my ears were not happy. They were so irritated but I kept the tunnels in and did sea salt soaks. After 3 or 4 days the swelling was gone and they are healing up good. I treated them like fresh piercings because that's what they felt like. I wouldn't recommend anyone do it like this, just that after waiting for over a year I finally got impatient lol

y’all, never go up a size every week, maybe after the first couple that were ready to stretch sooner you think you’ll be fine but trust me you have to wait longer the larger the sizes get, and everyone is different, if the taper hurts at all then you have to wait, the general rule is a month between sizes but some people take less or more time depending on their ear and what size they’re going to, i only had to wait 5 days between 14g to 12g but i had to wait 3 weeks till the next size so just listen to your body and don’t try and go faster because someone else could go faster because everyone is different
I mean I waited like 2 months and I still had to somewhat force it in. I just think it does require a little bit of force because there's a huge size difference between 8 and 6
For smaller stretches, you can get away with waiting two weeks between stretches, but once u get to an 8g and want to go larger, please wait *at least* 3 weeks between stretches. It’s not only extremely painful, but you can get terrible infections and blow out your ear and have to go down in size. Be careful y’all

I remember the first time I ever watched this UA-cam video.. I was only 9 y/o wanting to be able to stretch my ears sooo badly. Fast forward a little bit, I am now almost 16 y/o with my very own ear stretching kit finally tackling something that I've wanted to accomplish for over 5 years now :)) Moral of the story, time flies by WAY too quickly and also remember to never give up on something you wanna do no matter how long it takes ❤️❤️
i’ve been at a 14g for like 5 days and my ears are healed so no not always it just depends on how healed your ears but with bigger stretches than yeah because it takes longer to heal

Panicking Pilots don't go off of this. You should wait at the very least a month before sizing up. I made many mistakes with my stretching, and switching sizes too quickly was one of them, until I got to a 6g and realized I messed up. Definitely use some kind of ear stretching balm, or oil. I've found that petroleum jelly works well. But definitely wait at the least a month.
Panicking Pilots I pierced my ears, and then 2 days later went to like a n 8 guage and really didnt hurt or bleed one bit, they are a little sore for a day after but the actual process didnt hurt.
xctf some peoples ears stretch easier. I went from 18g- 00 in like a month and a half with no blowouts. I’m at 3/4 of an inch now. I waited only like 5 days between stretches after 00. And still no blowout. I’m probably lucky. Some people’s ears take trauma better and stretch faster
meanwhile I've been trying to go from 4g to 2g for over a year and it hurts so bad and started bleeding. Then I went back to a 4g and tried to keep it at that, but I think my ears got infected. They itched and burned so bad and the skin was peeling. I had to take the 4g out and now I've just stopped wearing them for now and my ears are shrinking. What's weird is I was wearing 4g for a year before I tried to go to a 2g and I still struggled so much. My ears wouldn't take it.

Fur Coat please don’t follow anything you saw in this video, they went WAY too fast, stretching should NEVER hurt, and tapers are horrible. Look up dead stretching with single flare glass plugs, the safest way to stretch.

Please for your own sake if you are watching this video and planning to stretch your ears as well wait at least a month between stretches. Otherwise you WILL be tearing your lobes and it will be very hard to shrink them back if need be because of all the scar tissue. Stretching isnt a race just be patient and you will get the results you want and still have healthy ears.
i don't know why i decided to ask you and not anyone else but ive waited about 2 months, washed my lobes daily, and cleaned my plugs off to make sure that they wouldnt get infected and would heal properly but for some reason my ears won't stretch from an 8g to a 6g and i have no idea why. the taper only goes about a half inch and it stops. am i doing something wrong??
Have you been massaging with any type of light oil like jojoba? You also have to take into account that everybody has a different chemical makeup so the time it takes for your ear to create new tissue may be much different than others. I'd say wait maybe a month more with daily massaging and try again.

If you develop scar tissue from stretching too fast that can slow down your process. When stretching you create microscopic tears in the tissue even if you don't feel them. If you are saying you only waited a few weeks between your last few stretches then that may be the cause of it. Again, I say try with pure jojoba oil not just lobe lube. There may be water in beer but that isn't what the doctor means when he says get plenty of fluids if you catch my analogy. I have blown out my ear from trying to force a stretch that seriously was NOT ready. You should be waiting at minimum 1 month per stretch for sizes 14g to 10g, 2-3 months for other sizes up 0g. Again these waits depends primarily on your body makeup and will vary. Some people even wait a full 6 months between stretches to avoid a blowout but thats rare. Just don't worry about it too much.
The key to painless stretching is, stop imediatly when you feel a sting or pain. Give your ears time to stretch... 2-4 weeks should be it. If you force it in, it could tear your earlobe. Their first attempts where pretty naive but nothing happened...
@@polarbear8440 Ig it depends on where you're getting them but piercings for me are pretty quick where as shots tend to ache and stay sore for a really long time. They also go into the muscle sometimes which SUCKS
if you’re going to stretch your ears like this use warm/ hot water to loosen up your ear lobs, massage them for 5-10 mins (the longer the better) & go as slow as it takes. if the skin turns white with resistance, you’re going too fast
I love how when I first got my ears stretched to 14g this was the first video I watched to calm me down and take some tips. That was a year ago and now I’m at 2g so thank you for teaching me because I was so scared lmao 😅
+Meggs If you ever start stretching, please make sure to wait at least a month between stretches and go one size at a time. These girls were SO lucky that they didn't fuck up their ears too bad. The meaning of tapers is to gently guide your ears to the next size, not to force them there. Be careful if you decide to!

@@SasuChanLover3 no. I was considering it before saying screw it and sticking the taper in. Every hour I'd push it a little further. Towards the end I waited overnight and finally put the tunnels in. Yes there was pain and my ears were not happy. They were so irritated but I kept the tunnels in and did sea salt soaks. After 3 or 4 days the swelling was gone and they are healing up good. I treated them like fresh piercings because that's what they felt like. I wouldn't recommend anyone do it like this, just that after waiting for over a year I finally got impatient lol

Stretching Hurts wether you’re ready or not . You’re literally stretching skin apart
y’all, never go up a size every week, maybe after the first couple that were ready to stretch sooner you think you’ll be fine but trust me you have to wait longer the larger the sizes get, and everyone is different, if the taper hurts at all then you have to wait, the general rule is a month between sizes but some people take less or more time depending on their ear and what size they’re going to, i only had to wait 5 days between 14g to 12g but i had to wait 3 weeks till the next size so just listen to your body and don’t try and go faster because someone else could go faster because everyone is different
im cringing at the 6g because there DEFINITELY wasn’t enough time for the ears to really “heal”

For smaller stretches, you can get away with waiting two weeks between stretches, but once u get to an 8g and want to go larger, please wait *at least* 3 weeks between stretches. It’s not only extremely painful, but you can get terrible infections and blow out your ear and have to go down in size. Be careful y’all

For anyone interested in stretching their ears I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LISTENING TO LIKE MOST OF THESE COMMENTS!! I made the same mistake they did and went from a 6g to an 8g in like less than 2 weeks of me stretching to a 6g and it hurt really bad! Thankfully my ear is alright but trust me it is NOT worth splitting your ear lobe. Be careful!! It's fine as long as you know you're doing it safely

Panicking Pilots don't go off of this. You should wait at the very least a month before sizing up. I made many mistakes with my stretching, and switching sizes too quickly was one of them, until I got to a 6g and realized I messed up. Definitely use some kind of ear stretching balm, or oil. I've found that petroleum jelly works well. But definitely wait at the least a month.

xctf some peoples ears stretch easier. I went from 18g- 00 in like a month and a half with no blowouts. I’m at 3/4 of an inch now. I waited only like 5 days between stretches after 00. And still no blowout. I’m probably lucky. Some people’s ears take trauma better and stretch faster
I mean, I went from no gauge to an 8 guage in 20 minutes, so it really depends on the person!
I went from a 14 to a 00 as well within about 2-3 weeks with no blow outs.
meanwhile I've been trying to go from 4g to 2g for over a year and it hurts so bad and started bleeding. Then I went back to a 4g and tried to keep it at that, but I think my ears got infected. They itched and burned so bad and the skin was peeling. I had to take the 4g out and now I've just stopped wearing them for now and my ears are shrinking. What's weird is I was wearing 4g for a year before I tried to go to a 2g and I still struggled so much. My ears wouldn't take it.

i’ve been at 00g since december (it’s 19th feb today) and yesterday i decided that i wanted to go bigger so i ordered some 7/16 (11mm) tapers ✌🏽
edit: 17th March got the 7/16 tapers today and they fit perfectly in my ears. i’m not sure if i will go bigger because i don’t know if my parents will let me but if they do, i’ll update you on that ig
Fur Coat please don’t follow anything you saw in this video, they went WAY too fast, stretching should NEVER hurt, and tapers are horrible. Look up dead stretching with single flare glass plugs, the safest way to stretch.

Please for your own sake if you are watching this video and planning to stretch your ears as well wait at least a month between stretches. Otherwise you WILL be tearing your lobes and it will be very hard to shrink them back if need be because of all the scar tissue. Stretching isnt a race just be patient and you will get the results you want and still have healthy ears.
i don't know why i decided to ask you and not anyone else but ive waited about 2 months, washed my lobes daily, and cleaned my plugs off to make sure that they wouldnt get infected and would heal properly but for some reason my ears won't stretch from an 8g to a 6g and i have no idea why. the taper only goes about a half inch and it stops. am i doing something wrong??
Have you been massaging with any type of light oil like jojoba? You also have to take into account that everybody has a different chemical makeup so the time it takes for your ear to create new tissue may be much different than others. I'd say wait maybe a month more with daily massaging and try again.

If you develop scar tissue from stretching too fast that can slow down your process. When stretching you create microscopic tears in the tissue even if you don't feel them. If you are saying you only waited a few weeks between your last few stretches then that may be the cause of it. Again, I say try with pure jojoba oil not just lobe lube. There may be water in beer but that isn't what the doctor means when he says get plenty of fluids if you catch my analogy. I have blown out my ear from trying to force a stretch that seriously was NOT ready. You should be waiting at minimum 1 month per stretch for sizes 14g to 10g, 2-3 months for other sizes up 0g. Again these waits depends primarily on your body makeup and will vary. Some people even wait a full 6 months between stretches to avoid a blowout but thats rare. Just don't worry about it too much.

The key to painless stretching is, stop imediatly when you feel a sting or pain. Give your ears time to stretch... 2-4 weeks should be it. If you force it in, it could tear your earlobe. Their first attempts where pretty naive but nothing happened...
PS: stretching after showering is ALWAYS easier because your earlobes are relaxed from the steam and warmth. Makes sense.

if you’re going to stretch your ears like this use warm/ hot water to loosen up your ear lobs, massage them for 5-10 mins (the longer the better) & go as slow as it takes. if the skin turns white with resistance, you’re going too fast
