What I love about Joel is he will talk to you. Even if you send him a message on Instagram, he will talk to you. Great guy.
I can listen to Joel for hours and hours
The Cartier-Bresson moment gave me goosebumps. Can’t get enough of the genius that is Joel Meyerowitz. Thanks for uploading this!
The passion and joy in her eyes during this interview. Wow!
The second Joel mentioned the scene with Bresson, my jaw dropped. Incredible moment. Joel is such a incredible speaker, I felt immersed throughout his talk. Thank you!
In those days I guess there were not many street photographers where as today it’s fairly common to see street photographers, you only have to see how many UA-cam street channels there are.
I always find interesting that Joel talks with so much admiration about this other legendary photographers like if he wasn't one of them. He is a great story teller
Great interview. One of my favorite photographers, and he seems like such a nice person.
Interesting comments about the former mayor, too. I suspected as much. People don’t change that much.
Incredible interview - thank you BOTH so very much for sharing.
What a generous interview! Joel Meyerowitz speaks in poetry as evocative as his images. Great questions too. Can’t wait to visit Fotografiska NYC once this pandemic is done. Thanks for posting this.
Wonderful interview with an incredible human. Joel Meyerowitz is balm for my soul.
Couldn't agree more. Well said.
I just bought that book yesterday, with the goal to learn photography from this “contemporary old pro”。
That was very inspirational. Thank you for this wonderful interview. Greetings from Brazil.
You are such a great interviewer and Joel is such a great subject with a lifetime of wisdom to share. Thank you for making this video. It deserves many more views and likes.
There are many photographers I look up to but Joel is the one I could listen to forever. His way of expressing his thoughts is just so poetic and clear at the same time.
I could listen to Joel Meyerowitz talk all day... 👍🏻
I can listen to Joel and his stories for days. His enthusiasm and passion are infectious and motivating.
What a great interview, I have always loved Joel`s work and his passion for photography. Wonderful to listen to him talk of the days spent with others capturing life, "the decisive moment". Thank you.

One of the best interviews and I was lost listening to Joel's stories.. So much educational and inspiring. He is one of my favorites and top in the list for sure. Thank you for uploading this interview....:)
Such a fantastic conversation, amazing tips, amazing insights, and incredible back stories!! And man those self portraits were AMAZING!
Very inspiring interview. I loved listening to him recount all the pivotal moments that had such impact on his career & on photography in general. I must admit that around the 19 minute mark he began to resemble fellow NYer Larry David, but Meyerowitz has far more talent & generosity.
What a great guy, I'll listen him for ages
What a delightful man and incredibly enlightening ❤️
this video made my day. thank you, so inspiring
Absolutely riveting interview love the stories Joel told love his work. My introduction to photography came as a 12 year old dad came home with his latest hobby a camera and a box full of stuff he took a photo of myself and my sister he vanished under the stairs coming out a while later with a glossy black and white photograph from that was my decisive moment I never wanted not to have a camera on me. Cheers dad xxxx liked and subbed regards Paul
Joel Meyerowitz, is Understandably One of today's, Worlds Greatest Photographers.! I hope there Will be Future Photographers, who will be as good as Joel is.! 📸
What a great interview, I wish I could meet him and have a chat over coffee.

Joel ,,,,, is the great teacher photography
What a wonderful story
I wish I could meet Cartier-Bresson just once in my life.
I love the bong in his self portrait lol, such a great interview really though.
All photographers should love photography as much as Joel
Thank-you!!
A great artist and a great guy.
Amazing
Non seulement, d'être un grand photographe, c'est un extraordinaire et charmant conteur.
Anna 'Delvey' brought me here.
You really should have interspersed his photos throughout. Opportunity missed.
So sensitive...
OK, one of the down votes is from Bruce Gilden. Who is the other guy?!
She is too fresh.
Joel sounds like a predatory, opportunistic pain in the arse when he's talking about his WTC photos. They have no serious archival value, no value to historians. They don't help us come to grips with what happened. He just took people's time, got in the way, alarmed cops and others who didn't want an unprincipled photographer taking photos of someone's mashed-up relative.
Wildly unsupported claims.
overrated photographer
Apparently you thought this comment had value. No.
Fantastic interview, thanks for making available.
