A Permanent Magnet Moving Coil (PMMC) instrument is an electrical measuring device that is used to measure current, voltage, or power in electrical circuits. It works based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It consists of a permanent magnet, a moving coil, and a pointer. The permanent magnet generates a constant magnetic field, and the moving coil is placed in this field. When an electrical current flows through the moving coil, it generates a magnetic field that is proportional to the current flowing through it. This magnetic field interacts with the permanent magnet, causing the coil to move. The pointer is attached to the coil, and its movement indicates the value of the current flowing through the circuit. PMMC instruments are known for their simplicity, high accuracy, and wide range of measurement
