Man, I love this movie. One of my favs. When I first saw the iron giant's reaction to the gun, it sorta gave me chills. Thought it was going to go berserk. Very nice!
this movie got many simbolic escenes that drags you the story line. i also liked alot that escene where the iron gigant thinks that HOgarth ais dead alsmot at the end of the movie.
Then you have failed at watching The Iron Giant. Brad Bird made the film as a memorial to his sister Susan, who died at the hands of her husband due to gun violence. His pitch was, "What if a gun had a soul and didn't want to be a gun?" In other words, judge the film for what it's supposed to be, not what you wanted it to be. In other other words, keep your love for hunting and shooting out of your judgment.

i give it 4 stars just because it's anti gun. cause i LOVE hunting and shooting at targets. but other than that its a really really good movie!!!! :)
