Protesting in NYC has absolutely no bearing or any effect on what Israel is going to do. So they were basically wasting their time. They need to go to Israel and Palestine to protest .
They even interrupted Brandon's speech in the church
They know that Netanyahu won’t listen & they know that much of our US tax dollars have been going to support Netanyahu’s ethnic cleansing campaign. Anything that gets national attention & that might get President Biden’s attention is on the table. 🤷🏻♀️
Actually in theory if you create enough disruption it can cause local business leaders and lower politicians to put pressure above to find a diplomatic solution. These protest are some what working.
Notice how last month in a half Biden administration has kind slightly shifted his stance on the conflict. He a little worried about getting reelected the longer this conflict goes on.
Right now not in full blown panic mode because he still has time and he hoping that this will all resolve it self long before Nov.
If it doesn't he gone go in to panic mode and he gone put a lot of political pressure on to Israel to resolve this conflict.

He not calling for a cease fire but he wants this conflict in Gaza over quickly. Which why he putting pressure on PM to shift his tactics and do more to protect civilains.
As time goes on the more and more his position on this conflict will change. He has an election coming up and there lot of Americans who are not gone vote for him if standing by doing nothing while Israel is committing mass slaughter especially if we're giving them money and weapons.

A lot of this isn't about liberating the oppressed but seeking validation. They believe blocking the road keeps people talking about the so-called genocide. If I were truly opposed to Israel's military actions in Gaza (I'm not), blocking a bridge or tunnel in NYC, or anywhere else in the US, would never cross my mind.

In accordance with the First Amendment, people are allowed to conduct peaceful demonstrations on the sidewalk or near the curb as long as they do so in a non-violent manner. However, if a group of protestors interfere with people’s freedom by obstructing the roadway, they all should be arrested and charged with kidnapping, criminal restraint, and false imprisonment.

At least they made arrests, in Seattle freeway was blocked for five hours until rain discouraged the protesters. Five hours while State Patrol and Seattle police stood by. Oh they did order the protesters to disperse twice but didn’t follow up on those orders.

@@uni8091 Self defense against unlawful detainment. The protestors are preventing the free movement of the individuals and their property which is exactly what makes blocking traffic ILLEGAL. It will be considered self defense to physically move them out of the way. Citizens arrest is legal if there are no other options especially if police are only there watching.
The message got no more of a response than if they had done a proper legal protest on public sidewalks or in front of Government offices not blocking traffic or people. Why do people think doing something illegal will get them their way? It only ends with them getting arrested!

Some people are just not well. There is something wrong with them. It’s just not normal the way some of these protesters are behaving. The total and complete disregard for others, and not to mention, their weird views and how they come off as being so one-sided is just sickening! Most healthy and normal individuals are able to see the big picture and understand that WARS are just not good on any side, on any level because ultimately, it’s the women, children, men, and elderly who have to suffer. However, these people are not going out there causing havoc and being more of a burden to law enforcement by blocking streets and highways and spilling their gross and misguided views onto others. It’s really disgusting. Honestly, some of these protesters make me sick. They need to wake up and start getting their acts together. Go to work and go do something more productive in your community and our society. Show some respect for the country that you are benefiting from.

It is just too bad our police are held back from really removing the protesters, lawsuits will follow no matter what. The best one I saw in Germany highlighted a woman grabbing a female by the hair and pulling her to the curb. Meanwhile the protestor is yelling about her hair. DUH Just as the lady hauling had turned her back the protestor took off to sit again. Did this deter lady #1, oh heavens no, heroine lady turned around and grabbed her hair again only this time she got a good handful and back to the curb they went, the protesto stayed on the curb.
Why can't the police use a more hands on approach to move people out of the road? I am not talking physical violence (punch,, beat, kick, etc.) The German & British police have lots of video out there to get ideas from, go look. I am just tired of seeing this, a few deranged idiots stopping how many cars, trucks, ambulances, fire trucks...working people who just want to go on their way) this has to stop sometime!!
