@@ollie-pn1ql they could’ve even written it better if they weren’t checked out at that point and just rushed it. The fact remains though, George is the one at fault as he promised them material he didn’t deliver.

I loved Martin's comment about HBO still being willing to tackle storylines, plots and timelines challenging for the audience. It's very true in the days when A LOT of show/movie creators treat the audience as a brainless mass...I truly believe that Game of Thrones was at its best as long as the producers believed that the audience is intelligent enough to wrap their heads around multiple plots and complicated world building, but the second they started thinking that they can feed us crap and still get their money that's when that amazing show started to lose a great portion of its value. Bro why is no one talking about the morbius guy? I am absolutely howling. “Hey Matt guess what? It’s morbin time”. An absolute maniac and undeniably the highlight of the show.
I've seen mentions on Reddit, Twitter, and other places that were genuinely mad at the guy who made the joke, bc they found it was too overplayed and, at that point, just disrespectful.
Emma spoke up their opinions about female rulers being challenged in history and for now, in a incisive but also genuine way. Really admired their wisdom and courage. And the awkward silence after their words told everything.
@@Triumvirate3 I do think people can be non-binary. A good comparison is race. What if your mother is 100% black and your father is 100% white. Surely you are black AND white or mixed race. Of course many mixed race people will identify purely as black and maybe a couple will identify as a white.
15:40 Martin makes the point that the most important trait of a king is that he regards his position as a duty to the realm, not a privilege. A cast member then says "or queen". What's funny about this comment is that it kinda contradicts/ignores Martin's point. Sure, the same goes for a queen, but his point is that you shouldn't necessarily want to be the ruler anyway...
The entire team gives great energy. Unlike the people involved in another particular upcoming fantasy show, these people know what they are doing. Can't wait!
@@hristol7537 oh yea.. I'm nervous about that being a lord of the rings fan. By the trailer it looks like it could be hit or miss. Don't know anything about the actors in the series yet tho
What annoys me about Rings of Power is that even after all the teasers and trailers, we still don’t have any clear idea about what the show is about and after watching the panels I sort of got the feeling that the writers/cast didn’t either. I don’t know if thats just me tho.
I was so skeptical going into this show after how GoT ended, but now I get why George genuinely says "I'm really very happy" after seeing HotD. The show drew me in right away, and has kept my attention throughout, up to episode 7 currently. The actors' performances, writing, costumes, effects (esp dragons), sets, direction, and cinematography are all impressive. It feels like pretty much everyone involved has put a lot of care and effort into this production. The only glaring sore thumb sticking out to me was C not facing any consequences whatsoever with the thing with L's dude at the event, which made more sense in the books?
They have never really talked to the ones who plays their older version, but when i watch the show, some gestures of the older ver do remind of the younger ver. That's fascinating how they do that, especially when they haven't spent more time to nail each other's body language to embody the character's journey
Corley and Rhaenys are easily my favorite characters of this series. Easily. I do wish Emily and Millie had spoken more. So much of the first few episodes centered on them. I’d have loved to know what their experience was like starting this show off.
Agreed but at least both especially Ryan already has a good relationship him for years so he won’t do the same. I’m sure the two showrunners realize like everyone else when game of thrones started it’s downfall
@@deiseabu I really hope so! I genuinely think this series has the potential to erase the Games fiasco from popular memory if they play their cards right. That includes sticking to the authors vision!
I think a lot of people will be eating their words when this comes out. I have high hopes for it and I have a great feeling it can cement itself as being like game of thrones but getting it right. We have the complete timeline so Ryan and Miguel just need to fill in the gaps and make it entertaining
I think it was a smart move to cast Milly Alcock for the younger Rhaenyra; by that I mean an adult who can easily pass for younger, rather than an actual teen/tween then have them age as the series progresses and then you start having all kinds of continuity nightmares cause kids do that.

@@ollie-pn1ql they could’ve even written it better if they weren’t checked out at that point and just rushed it. The fact remains though, George is the one at fault as he promised them material he didn’t deliver.
@@ItsSVO They had enough material to do more with them. They skipped a lot of things from the books
@@ollie-pn1ql most adaptations skip things from the source material because the narrative can’t be bloated due to run time and costs. George literally hasn’t written a book in 10 years so from when Jon dies there’s no books after that, the ending was George’s quite clearly but he gave them nothing to adapt for multiple seasons so I don’t really blame them for not caring that much anymore I blame George.
This far I'm impressed and hooked by House of the Dragon and I'm so looking forward to what will become of it ;))
I absolutely LOVE Emma's voice.
Also the casting so far has been great, I'm quite amazed.
Paddy seems like such a cool dude. Dig his personality.
I absolutely adore him! His interviews with Matt Smith are so much fun to watch too.
Emily is very impressive with her journaling
36:44 "As A fAn Of CoLoR, aS aN aSiAn FaN, iT's DeLiGhTfUl To SeE yOu HeRe"
What an awkward way to start a question and what a great way to make Steve uncomfortable. #facepalm
Cringe
*Supercringe* 💆🏻🤦🏻
People like this need to go
Mad lad actually opened questioning with "It's Morbin Time"
Morb heads rise up 🦇🦇🦇
it's sooo painfully awkward 😅😅
and George's shades are absolutely hilarious ahaha I love him
"so far "
"certain other show"
"boring things like building worlds "
the shaaaadee
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Timestamp?
Hilarious. May D&D never find a job in this industry again.
What was awkward
Its just British humour
They already have. Frustatingly.
Olivia Cooke changing emotions every 3 seconds 😂
The difference in the applause for Matt- the audience is hilarious i can't
All of these actors would now recieve the same enthusiastic cheering that only Matt Smith got during this panel. All of them are excellent in their roles and I can't wait for Season 2 in a few days!
“Targaryen home video.” I love that line!!
Matt Smith is an amazing, compassionate and lovely man!!!
My only critique of this panel is Milly not being asked any questions! Her performance was great!
"i would allow them to dye their hair"
Matt smith being matt smith
It's physically impossible for Matt Smith to *not* be Matt Smith lol-
I died when Emma said Targaryen home video💀💀💀 it’s so good and it wasn’t even intended
Paddy is such a dad 😂😂 it's too wholesome
Bro why is no one talking about the morbius guy? I am absolutely howling. “Hey Matt guess what? It’s morbin time”. An absolute maniac and undeniably the highlight of the show.
I've seen mentions on Reddit, Twitter, and other places that were genuinely mad at the guy who made the joke, bc they found it was too overplayed and, at that point, just disrespectful.
kinda cringe tbh
@@andalilbitqueer Eh. I thought it was cute. You gotta have one dumb, off-topic question at every panel.
@@DDog09 😆🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
It was so cringey especially since people barely saw that movie so no one knew what it meant
George's "A certain other show" comment killed me 😂😂😂like the show which must not be named 😂😂😂😂
Emma spoke up their opinions about female rulers being challenged in history and for now, in a incisive but also genuine way. Really admired their wisdom and courage. And the awkward silence after their words told everything.
She probably would vote for the new italian president because she is a woman 😄😅
@@sidsid12 Emma uses they/them pronouns.
I hate the word "their". It sounds like there is more than one person. It's not very personal.
Hijacking English to entertain this fantasy that a person can be non-binary is idiotic. “They” refers to a plurality of people
@@Triumvirate3 I do think people can be non-binary.
Emma is so freaking annoying
The entire team gives great energy. Unlike the people involved in another particular upcoming fantasy show, these people know what they are doing. Can't wait!
Too bad the audience gives hateful energy
Which other fantasy show?
@@RB-jy4rl Amazon's Lord of the Rings
@@hristol7537 oh yea.. I'm nervous about that being a lord of the rings fan. By the trailer it looks like it could be hit or miss. Don't know anything about the actors in the series yet tho
What annoys me about Rings of Power is that even after all the teasers and trailers, we still don’t have any clear idea about what the show is about and after watching the panels I sort of got the feeling that the writers/cast didn’t either. I don’t know if thats just me tho.
That audience was dead... what an amazingly talented cast!
First timers these actors were technically new their careers took off after this show when season two drops it'll be better
Why host don't have questions for Emily. I felt bad. I was waiting bcoz she's good in the show. So thankful for Ryan for including Emily.
I love Emma so much, they just bring such a calm aura. They did amazing in Hotd as well as the rest of the cast!

King Viseris charisma carries over on to this panel. Paddy is a perfect fit for the role
My God Matt Smiths voice is so mesmerizing
I love all how awkward and earnest everyone is. Both cast and audience.
What happened to C in the book after he killed L’s BF?
@@AFR0MAMBA I'm curious to know this one too 🤔🤔
They have never really talked to the ones who plays their older version, but when i watch the show, some gestures of the older ver do remind of the younger ver. That's fascinating how they do that, especially when they haven't spent more time to nail each other's body language to embody the character's journey
they're so smart for choosing matt smith as a thumbnail. 😎
Can’t wait for this series!! 🐉
Emma D’arcy is amazing. Their philosophy and way of seeing life is such a refresher.
(23:25)
Paddy:
“My knife. It’s a very important knife.”
Olivia:
“No, MY knife.”
Paddy:
“W H A T ?”
Olivia:
“Kidding…”
Lmao she's a nutty one
What a hint 🥵
emily carey seemed so nervous also i loved her answer i wish she would of spoke more !
I came here because tiktok edit olivia and matt eyes contact 2:16 hahahahahaha matt so flirty
Corley and Rhaenys are easily my favorite characters of this series. Easily. I do wish Emily and Millie had spoken more. So much of the first few episodes centered on them. I’d have loved to know what their experience was like starting this show off.
The episode just came out where King Viserys says his one line in old Valyrian, and sure enough it is exactly what he recites at 21:20
i seriously hope that Ryan and Mig keep George in the loop and dont pull a David and Dan and phone in the ending
George has said the series already has an ending. He knows how badly we were screwed by season 8 of game of thrones.
David and dan is good tho
@Mailen Driussi I hadn’t heard about mistreatment of the cast by D&D. Like who? What happened?
18:22 EVE JUMPED UP SO FAST 😂
Sean Bean in Lotr: pokes sword tip and bleeds.
Sean Bean in GoT: sits on throne and gets cut.
George has good advice for USA in today…midterms and all…good leaders unite and help their people💪🙏🇺🇸
Right, so Republicans then. Clearly
Emily is such an intelligent, full of words, calm person
Hahaha Olivia face when Emma talk about how we still pick male rulers 20:19
She hates men rulership...but wants to look and dress as one...
Ahahahah
Why Emma gotta play politics??
@@Ryanlexz because shes a typical leftist who cries feminism yet wants to be a man apparently
@@Ryanlexz it’s literally the plot of the show dude
Funny how Emma D'Arcy was the first to speak on this panel as her voice as adult Rhaenyra opened House of the Dragon too.
I can hear Emelia screaming "Drogon is the best DRAGON!"
Drogon is the bestest boi
💩💩💩💩
the Matt's NO was a killer😂😂 a really good ending
there are always going to be people who criticized, but the truth was a great choice of the cast and I adore each of them, I love this serie.
George just talking over her when she goes "..Or queen..." lmao
I think a lot of people will be eating their words when this comes out. I have high hopes for it and I have a great feeling it can cement itself as being like game of thrones but getting it right. We have the complete timeline so Ryan and Miguel just need to fill in the gaps and make it entertaining
I think you're right Emma. A few people watched episode 1 at the premiere and said it's better then thrones.
@@CrazyDescription what, after 1 episode and it's better then thrones 🤣🤣🤣
@@manvirshergill1739 I think they mean HOTD episode 1 is better than GOT episode 1.
@@ArgentiumTea well I should hope (budget wise anyway)
I expect the first season to be decent, but it will probably unravel in the second season into a disaster.
I love that Matt included milly! ❤️🖤
time?
this is so awesome to see, can't wait to see another panel after the first season
I think it was a smart move to cast Milly Alcock for the younger Rhaenyra; by that I mean an adult who can easily pass for younger, rather than an actual teen/tween then have them age as the series progresses and then you start having all kinds of continuity nightmares cause kids do that.
Yea Milly's been great so far
Emma d’arcy was actually casted before Milly. They used teenage pics of em for young rhaenyra
If you all remember, the GOT cast was like this on their first comicon panel. Great one either way, looking forward to the show
If this happened today , the roar when Emma comes in
Totally agree about Paddy's Viserys ! He was amazing. Will miss him.
George taking little digs there at GOT and i love it
9:36 lmao GRR Martin chose his words wisely there😅
