Very good video tutorial. Finally a better idea of the possibilities of APP, this also clearly explained. I'm curious about further APP video's with possibly galaxies or something....
You can apply all the same techniques to galaxies as well in terms of stretch, Saturation, contrast, cleaning up the background and stars etc. If you did it in mono you would just do LRGB combination and OSC no channel combination necessary. there are far more tools available that I didn’t even cover though if that’s what you mean, that could potentially help you with galaxies specifically
Great stuff. Thanks again. To my understanding Calibrate Star Colors is a kind of random assignment of color so it's not as true as SPCC if that kind of thing matters. I usually just stopped at LPC and had no idea that some of the stretch and selective color tools were so powerful. Here's another little tip. When you add your files for Combine RGB you can actually select all the files and add them in one go. Then the dialog will ask you how to assign each of the files you selected. It saves a few clicks and a little time.
Wow- this is such a great help Ryan! I may need to watch it a few times but I really like how you can just pick a stretch and run with it and also how the selective color tool works as I can never remember what color you go towards so it's a bit easier. I could totally see getting to the point where I could process it fully in APP and then PS. Your explanations as always are super clear so thanks for the effort and a part 3 advanced would be awesome. No noise exterminator? or do you have to do star exterminator?
He’s working on a noise solution for now I’m just using Topaz in PS as I like to it after I stretch and add color to see how much I really need or don’t

I've seen many videos on APP but this by far is the best in terms of understanding how it works. You make it very understandable

Thank you, I just tried to give a little context with my intros and then get into it! Hope they help…
@@darkrangersinc they definitely do.. Cheers mate.. Keep it up!!
Interesting.
Yeah, I think it provides a really easy way to do different channel combinations and get to a look you want a little faster and or easier.
