California Zephyr is one of my favorite Amtrak routes because of the superliners and scenic viewws
The California Zephyr is on my favorite Amtrak routes! Very unique scenery, and breathtaking!
I took this back in 2019 (when I was an absolute foamer) to see my cousin and chase 4014. I loved it!
Amtrak is killing it with the advertising lately! It’s making me really excited for my cross country trip next year!
I loved the smell of Sage as we made our way through various areas.
it passes by three famous ski resorts! More than any other railway line! Wonder why they haven't thought of upgrading it?
the government doesn’t give them enough money to upgrade it very well, they waste it on highways instead
I wish there was a route between Glendale Arizona and Utah my home state I would totally take the train unfortunately there's not a route right now
If only all the windows on all the trains were as clean as these!
Has anyone read Adventures on Trains book 2: Kidnap on the California Comet? That installment’s premise was based on the real-life Zephyr! I strongly recommend this book series!!
Did that 5 months ago to Denver to SD and a great ride. Make sure you get the coast route southbound in CA. That’s what I asked for and the Amtrak agent F up and I was booked on a bus southbound which sucked.
California at the time was going through heavy rainfall which lead to land/rockslides that affected many of the coastal areas of Southern California, especially San Clemente. In San Clemente, there was a landslide which led to track derailments and also a housing structure collapse. The Amtrak agent did not fuck up, they were under direction to book on buses due to structural issues with the regular surf liner train tracks.

The most delayed east bound train in the network. By the way Amtrak you failed to so ceremony for Emeryville for us on Tuesday anniversary schedule. We deserve a ceremony for those of us on Amtrak 6 on Tuesday in Emeryville. This from a select executive member here. Not happy with Amtrak. Please correct this mistake.
Most people want the short way home.
If you want train travel to be faster then we’d better invest in rail infrastructure
