Shaggy, your videos are by far my favorites. I play over 80% of my games solo and I love the same types of medium to heavy euros that you like as well. Definitely my jam. So I love all the new content you produce. And I love the way you demo new games. Keep up the great work! Thanks for all that you do!
That is so kind of you to say. Thank you. I'm thrilled to hear you enjoy my videos. I always feel energized to make the next video when I receive nice comments like yours. Have a wonderful day!
I was pretty intimidated to break out and actually attempt Voidfall solo as my initial experience of it, so I kept procrastinating until I saw a couple of your playthrough. That game brings so much joy to my life now, so I thank you for making it feel approachable enough for me.
Very good list! Hope you pick a few of those up and put on your channel! The visual design in these modern games is stunning. Loving those heavy thematic games you do.
I'll definitely pick up most of these eventually once they hit retail. I don't get many games early, so expect videos once everyone has already moved on to the next crowdfunding campaign. :) Thanks for watching!
That makes me run for the hills immediately. I found Endless Winter a mess of a game with a mediocre solo and was sold off subsequently. Even De Mico art could not save that. And when I hear David Turczi then I hear overcomplicated and unfair advantage solo bot. And that saying something for someone who plays COIN games with the Bots. Hard pass for me.
@@manuelkooijman5757 You would be surprised, how easy to operate and streamlined the bot is in Minos. However, it has a tiny bit of an unfair advantage, like not using resources - it's a trade off when you want an automa that has a low complexity, but still competitive and human-like.
Can’t wait for Dead Cells. I backed the Deluxe edition on Kickstarter, it will arrive any day now. Big fan of the video game (played over 60 hours) and love that it’s now coming to board game.
Ha, I'm usually not the best person to go to for high level strategic gameplay. But I hope I can get my hands on a copy and give it try. Thanks for checking out the video!
Saltfjord and SETI are my most anticipated curently. Dead Cells slowly hits the community and seems to be quite fun as well. Have you had a chance to try Kingdom Legacy yet? It is a single deck solo game from Fryxgames and kind of uses the Palm Island mechanism but catapults it through the roof in the most addictive way :D ... It is legacy but with sleeves it can be played multiple times with very different outcomes. It was also an Essen release.
Great list! SETI is also my most anticipated game releasing. It looks really good but I'm hoping for some more coverage, playthroughs before going for it. Tomas Holek actually has a THIRD game releasing at this Essen, also. It's called Tea Garden and looks like a medium-heavy tea-themed game. It just doesn't have a solo mode, unfortunately.
Aventuria 2.0 will also have a solo mode - but it's not out yet (so it did not miss in on you list), we showed the tutorial at SPIEL at the Ulisses booth :)
I’ve been watching the chatter on a new expansion for Feast For Odin. Perhaps my favourite solo. It looks like a new expansion may, probably, with express words from Uwe it to be announced for release 2025, early. Another is the just announced new Mindclash game set in the same universe as Voidfall. That’s an insta invest in my opinion.
I've been concentrating more on playing the games I own and less on new acquisitions. Having said that, my interest has definitely been piqued by Galileo Galilei. I love a good historical Euro and the astronomical theme is one that interests me. The ever-changing rondel (I think after you point your telescope at a tile and take the action, that tile goes to the bottom of the semi-circle and everything shifts accordingly) is appealing and I'm intrigued by the use of the dice. (My understanding is that they represent the lens in your telescope and you combine the dice colors to make one single color...or something like that.) Maybe someday we can be treated to a Galileo Galilei playthrough on this channel...? Anyway, thanks for another excellent video!
I was so hyped for Galileo Galilei but really bums me they didn't continue the art from the cover into the game, also a bit disappointing with the gameplay I saw so far. Seti looks more fun
After reading the SETI rulebook, I decided against acquiring it, as my group isn't interested in the game and the solo mode is the kind of simulated meta player automata. I am not a big fan of these kind of automatas. But nothing lost anyway, because Andromeda's Edge is sooooooo fantastic! I backed Endeavor and it's supposed to be delivered any day. Very much looking forward to it.
I like Madeira more if I'm forced to choose. Unfortunately, the game is tainted due to the undelivered deluxe edition (my first time getting screwed on crowdfunding). Hopefully both Nippon and Madeira will eventually get the Zhanguo treatment -- they deserve a wider audience. Madeira is on Board Game Arena, if you want to try it out. Thanks!
Just one or maybe two crossovers. My number one is by far Black Forest. Man, does that board look sweet and it has a dedicated solo board as well. Good times. Was thinking of Endeavor Deep Sea. But what about the solo only game Urbion (from the Oniverse series), Tir Na Nóg, Undergrove, or Cryptic Nature (nature but not as we know it). And the solo mode expansion for Ancient Knowledge.
Shackleton Base took me by surprise. Never heard anything about it and it sounds so interesting. Hopefully it will be easy to get. Thanks for watching!
My most anticipated around Essen Releases: - Galactic Cruise - SETI - Milennia I wish Galileo or Asian Tigers had better art. The one proposed is pushing me off.
Yeah, there are too many games, too many good games, too many great games. If I didn't have a channel I would probably stop buying new games and catch up. Thanks for watching!
I'm surprised, since this vid is about anticpated SOLO games, that when speaking of Minos, you didn't touch on the solo mode being designed by David Turczi of Imperium and Voidfall fame.
I missed that fact. It was a last minute addition to the list and I didn't think to look for a separate solo designer. And yes, now I see it written on the cover. 😂
I've not researched them. I'll be honest here -- I'm not a board game news junkie and I don't spend a lot of time looking into future games. Neither of those two immediately grabbed me but one of the comments on here said Flatiron had a fantastic solo mode, so I'm more interested now. Thanks for watching!
@@jhowd78 Just looked it up and I was mistaken. He designed this and Glass Road at the same time, and the publisher went with Glass Road as it was smaller and more streamlined.
Endeavor and Dead Cells are the only tow games on this list that I am NOT interested in. Everything else will be mine at some point. I hope they can find a publisher in the US for Galileo.
When you vow not to buy any more board games and then totally tabled puts out a video with 10 fresh solo games…. I can be strong.
Ha, sorry Emma. :) Thanks for checking out the video!
I feel your pain Emma... I really must be strong, something like 15 games coming over the next 12 months, the madness must end.
My wife says, are you done for now. I always reply yes, then the mailman arrives or Alexa gives away my purchases. 😅😅😅😅
I can’t
💀
The fact you don't have 100k+ subscribers astounds me, Shaggy. Your content is always top notch!
Ha, thanks for the sentiment but I think you overestimate the number of people who want to watch me play board games. :) I appreciate your support!

SETI sounds so interesting. Really love the theme. Can't wait to see a playthrough for it on your channel :)
Amazing list ! Hope you can show playthroughs of some of these games.
I definitely will once they come out at retail. Thanks for checking out the video!
Minos' solo mode is co-created by David Turczi, so I suspect it is going to be VERY good. :) Awesome list!
Ah, I don't know how I missed that. Now I'm even more excited. Thanks!

hey! thanks for the great content you always upload! Any plans for a SETI solo playthrough?
Can’t wait for Dead Cells. I backed the Deluxe edition on Kickstarter, it will arrive any day now. Big fan of the video game (played over 60 hours) and love that it’s now coming to board game.
Can’t wait for you to post a play through of Shackleton Base. Getting my a** handed to me with this one. Need you to show me how to beat it!!!

Wow, I'll have to check out Tea Garden because the other two look so good. This is going to be another great year for games! Thanks, Laurence!
I came on here to say this...Tomas Holek is on fire!
gaming rules! has a playthrough and teach up.
Aventuria 2.0 will also have a solo mode - but it's not out yet (so it did not miss in on you list), we showed the tutorial at SPIEL at the Ulisses booth :)
SETI looks amazing and you have me very hype for it as well!!
I can't wait. I just love this theme. Thanks for watching!
I am very excited for the Galileo game. It just looks like fun
Your number 1 anticipated solo game is the same as mine. I cannot wait until I can get hold of SETI. Thanks for the video, Shaggy!
SETI looks so good. Thanks for checking out my video.
With Galileo Galilei I actually wish the interior art was closer to the box art... I'll be waiting patiently for them to entice a retailer.

Have you heard anything about Spectacular? It’s getting great buzz but I don’t know if it’ll be at Essen or when it’ll be available.
The designer of Galileo Galilei and SETI has a 3rd game coming out at Essen as well called Tea Garden, but it's not solo.
Pretty crazy having 3 games coming out at Essen. Hope they live up to expectations. Thanks for watching!
Which one do you like more Madeira or Nippon? I only have and love Nippon and I was never sure if I should get Madeira too.

Will you be at Spiel Shaggy or are you not able to make it?
No, I won't be there unfortunately. Maybe one day. Thanks for watching!
SETI. I’m Interested too.
Also, Shackleton Base.
Shackleton Base took me by surprise. Never heard anything about it and it sounds so interesting. Hopefully it will be easy to get. Thanks for watching!
Will pick up SETI for sure.
My most anticipated around Essen Releases:
- Galactic Cruise

Seti, maybe Minos seems good but, I have so many good games, not sure if they can make the cut.
Yeah, there are too many games, too many good games, too many great games. If I didn't have a channel I would probably stop buying new games and catch up. Thanks for watching!

Endeavor Deep Sea is excellent!
Black Forest is apparently closer to the original design for Glass Road, which was tweaked by the publisher.
I played it. The wheel is the only thing that's glass road
@@jhowd78 Just looked it up and I was mistaken. He designed this and Glass Road at the same time, and the publisher went with Glass Road as it was smaller and more streamlined.
I didn't realize that. Wow. I think I'll make a video on both Glass Road and this and compare them. Glass Road is so good. Thanks!
I’m only excited for Minos and Saltsford ✌️✌️✌️
They both look great. Thanks for checking out the video.
Endeavor and Dead Cells are the only tow games on this list that I am NOT interested in. Everything else will be mine at some point. I hope they can find a publisher in the US for Galileo.
Bone wars would fit the list :)
Stephens and Spectacular are more Euros I'm looking forward to.
Stephens nearly made the list. Something about Spectacular doesn't appeal to me, but I could be wrong.
„Flatiron“ is also a wonderful Solo Game! 👍😃
I'll definitely keep that in mind. I haven't really looked into it too much. Thanks for the recommendation!
can't wait for spiel 😊
Ah, I'm jealous if you are going. Looks like fun. Thanks for watching!
It's a trade-show, not a convention, really.
Fair enough.
Thats the Video ive been searching for, link and only available games to purchase at essen.thx @shaggy do you make it to the Spiel24?
No, I don't really have the time or means to make it there, but maybe one day. Are you going or have you been to one in the past?
