I worked with a professional carpenter who used Ryobi and he said that the amount of tools stolen from site, van break ins and just general tool breakages his view was that he could easily replace the tools and it wouldn’t bankrupt him
I LOVE My Ryobi Tools. In Fact i bought Ryobi Impact-Bits and Built a Nice fence screwing Tapcons into Brick/Block no problem. Then a Bought more expensive Impact-Bits and they SNAPPED on 1st Go, I will stick with my Ryobi Tools thanks.
Definitely a "Spark"....still a nice job!! Talking of tools I have read some of the other comments I was used to using Makita & Dewalt however I have started using the Einhell brand after working in Holland/Germany. My whole house and garden now run on that brand lawnmower, hedgetrimmers, hoover & combi drill, Rip Snorter, chop-saw etc etc. I still have all of my Makita and Dewalt tools but rarely use them. Einhell tools/batteries/chargers are a good price. Have a look I was surprised by the standard (tool snob me).
Handy Tip: Before inserting the foam, drill 1-2 centimetre holes around the frame to allow air through for easing the foam in, can use some blank hole grommets to fill the holes after, 🤓💡
Well it sounds like you’re going to be working on a Milwaukee tool wall shortly, but lately I have been slowly building up my Klein tool set. Not an electrician like you but a DYI’r. Cheers.
Just watched this as it popped up in my UA-cam recommendations. Very interesting, but no space to put a "Tool Wall" anywhere here. I did have a good look at your website to get a better idea about ShadowFoam. It's a shame you don't offer the Swann Morton Retractaway Scalpel. So much safer, you can chuck it in your toolbox or pocket whilst working, and you could even have a space for it on the Tool Wall!
I haven't looked if anyone else has mentioned this, the new bit holder is actually a drywall bit holder. This bit holder was designed to use on drywall or plasterboard to prevent the screwdriver bit ever going too deep. The heavy duty magnet was designed primarily for drywall applications to make sure the screw wasn't lost during installation.
yeah you are probably correct, you get flush fit bit holders for plaster board fitting, you also get sleave bit holders, the case extends over the screw so as you start to drive one handed the screw wiggle doesnt come of the bit as its enclosed, i have a ryobi one on my ryobi drill that i had for 6 or 7 years or more now, its just a bit rusty. the plaster board bit holder is good for small jobs or tidying screws up, if you can afford it, its far better to get an autofeed screw gun with the strips of screws for bigger jobs like putting a whole ceiling up, makes life so much more straight forward and quicker rather than screw by screw with the bit holder.
I bet it’s like Christmas day all the time when you go shopping for tools to put in the pannels and you’ll have to do one for the Kreg pocket hole jigs.

I like your technique for making the frame. I would drill holes in the back board to cut out the vacuum issue Used this method for foam cushions in a stool Love the shadow foam Great finish Result
I have a nice tool wall in my garage (peg board) and the one and only thing I can tell you about it is I change it every 2 weeks. Reason being is tools die, new tools added, tools break, tools get upgraded. One tool change and this wall is useless really or looks horrible with a dead spot in it. Sure it really looks good I have to be honest it looks so tidy and nice but practical... seems like a horrible waste of money! Just one person's opinion! I think the only way these things work is that they are cases for each tool set. IE you get a set of chisels you make a display box, you get a set of crescent wrenches. you make a display box. these are tools that tend not to change very often. but then You end up spending $200 on every set of tools you use.. which again you get into the category of seems like a waste of money when you could just hang them on a peg board
Nice job, I started life as a sparky too, a long while ago though, now retired. I’ve always had an interest in woodworking and have a good selection of Ryobi tools. I hope you bought some batteries with your kit. I also don’t know why Ryobi don’t sell their pliers and sidecutters in the UK, annoyingly they are available in the US.
Another great tall wall. One of these days we will get you cutting 45 degree corners on the front trim! I'll go with a Bosch DIY one next for the dark green colour to go with the Dewalt and Ryobi setups.
Pretty cool build! I liked the Ryobi love people like to bash the tools and I find they work fine. Yes I would rather have a nicer tool but man they just work and I like saving the money on tools I don't use everyday. Your foam builds are cool man.
@@ShadowFoam many many moons since new, also have the original AM/FM Radio in Blue still works, but most of my tools are current colouring. They just make good tools and boy have their batteries improved over the years,,
When they were in the blue, they were a good mid range amateurs tools. A pro would not use them but they were pretty good. The change to lime green brought a downturn in quality to appeal to the home DIYer. The batteries on the 18v range were rubbish. Milwaukee well over priced but good. Mikita is the next step up and the batteries last out well. Just my opinion.

So cool! Ryobi tools are really good. I like Bosch tools myself and I think they would make an incredible tool wall for you. Amazing tool line up. Excellent video my man.
I have no idea what tools you are basing this on but ryobi power tools are crap. It used to be great but not anymore. I have spent a fortune moving away from Ryobi after disappointment after disappointment. 3 cordless multitools all broke after at least 1 week the first broke after 10 mins use. i changed brand. not a single problem a year later with Dewalt. no power in the combi drill compaired to the Dewalt version. The ryobi would not put a 12mm speed bit through a floor joist the Dewalt smaller drill does it time after time without need even a batery change. The cordless angle griner. Anyone want it the biggest disapointment of all. the clutch omg constantly cuts out and is unusable. A week later I went out and bought the dewalt version, no probles at all. I then just started to replace everything more so because of the batterys are so expensive, by the way 4 chineese batterys still going strong, but only 2 of the 8 ryiobi baterys still working after a year. so yer tried and tested oh yer broke a impact driver and a combi drill from over use.
@@davewilco822 definitely sounds like you’ve got some bad tools for sure. I based my comment as a general overview. The Ryobi brand being really great is for home owners and contractors who are not hard on their tools like an electrician or someone who rarely needs a tool and does not want to spend DeWalt prices for a tool he needs 12 times a year.
@@davewilco822I have the same quality issues these days with Milwaukee and Bosch, especially Bosch batteries. They are really poor quality. The range of Parkside tools from Lidl have done surprisingly well for me as a heavy DIY user. They come with a 3 year warranty (DIY use only for the standard range) but I have never had to make use of the warranty yet. UA-camr Dean Doherty did a piece on the Parkside SDS hammer drill I have for the first time and to say he was pleasantly surprised just how good even the DIY standard tool was is an understatement and his wife carries a lot of weight as a professional power tool service engineer. Im just a diy geezer, only noticed two things l would have done differently, 1. Worn ear defenders using electric saw. 2. I would have mitred the trim, but thats my preference.
I’m a little sad that in the US, the Ryobi accessories like the hammer and the battery designs aren’t available in Home Depot (B&Q US version). The hammer is only available in a kit only
The final panel is going to be Milwaukee, because they are all the same company :D I would have preferred Makita, but that would probably require 3 panels on its own. I am about to make my first order, for some inserts, Wish me luck!
Hmmmm… now I want to re do my ryobi SF tool wall. Didn’t fit all my tools in anyway so custom size might be the next order. Some random ideas for you… as all this stuff is cluttering up my garage lol - can you mount any larger garden tools like strimmers, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws etc
I have the Einhell power xchange range for my tools, I found them to be pretty good products. Very similar to Sealey. (Tbf I think I might only draw that comparison because they're both red lol)
Just out of curiosity, you constantly mention the USA and prices there. Do you sell a lot to the USA? I only ask because it's nice to see a UK based channel doing something like this as most are American, and lack relevance to me. So I was pleased to find you, but then you went all American on me hahah
I don't spend big money on power tools. I buy most of my tools from VEVOR now bcos u get a decent deal from them. OK so they don't sell top brands but I bought a drill/Imp Driver set for 93 euros. They're brilliant and I've had them for 21/2 yrs now and they work really well. The driver is a powerful little unit. They're both brushless as well which helps. I love power tools btw but recently I've begun using more Hand Tools. Hand planes, chisels, saws, etc and I'm getting just as much enjoyment out of them as any power tools. Yeah the work takes a bit longer when using Hand Saws but I enjoy the heck out of it man.. I see ur wall of Skill power tools but can u get one of the Skil Table saws in the UK?? I can't get one and was wondering if they're sold over there. In Ireland it's a nightmare to get these tools here just like RIGID as well.. I wanted to get thye RIGID table saw with the Cast Iron table. It's a beast but to get it here is impossible unless u try and take a risk on EBAY and I'm not handing over a grand to somebody on EBAY so my hard earned cash can disappear. DEWALT table saws are being sold for a grand or more here too. The cheapest I saw was just under 800 Euros which is a rip off for a saw of that quality. Love that foam ur using mate..Keep making the walls for tools bcos they make it all look so much tidier. Oh lord I need to clean out my garage today. I left saw dust everywhere before Xmas and haven't gone back in.. LOL Seeing how clean ur shop is has me embarrassed to hell man.. LMAO..
We're actually looking to start a relationship with Vevor so hearing you talk so positively about their tools makes me ever the more curious to try them out for myself!
@@ShadowFoam I was looking on the website about Shadow foam too the other day after watching a few of ur videos. It's actually very cheap for what u get. I'll be picking some up for my tool storage soon. Nice one man.. Thanks for the reply too. Appreciate it very much

Maybe the Hart brand from Walmart, not sure I’d Walmart is present in your part of the world but are very popular in America. Great job on your channel
Never understood why tradesmen don't give ryobi any credit I've used only ryobi tools in general contracting residential/commercial I've done kitchens, bathrooms, framing, drywall, and drilled into alot of concrete for more then 10 years now and every tool I have still runs like new I have all my original batteries no problems no downgrade in Quality or power they always get the job done just as good as any other tool only they're more affordable and have alot more variety 😉
these look great, but I don't like the idea of changing a tool if one breaks or you add another to a set. I think I'll stick with a french cleat system

Makita? Milwaukee? Why not both?
great content man ..... 👍
Cool idea
Hmmmm… now I want to re do my ryobi SF tool wall. Didn’t fit all my tools in anyway so custom size might be the next order.
Some random ideas for you… as all this stuff is cluttering up my garage lol - can you mount any larger garden tools like strimmers, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws etc
I do want to tackle larger tools in the future when I can put all my ideas together!
Damn that MDF was expensive. I know you weren't looking for one but a full sheet of 12mm 8x4 MDF is about 35 quid from our supplier inc VAT
I’m not suprised at that! I went for convenient but I know that was at the behest of cost!
@@ShadowFoamI get you. Gotta do what you gotta do!
I have the Einhell power xchange range for my tools, I found them to be pretty good products. Very similar to Sealey. (Tbf I think I might only draw that comparison because they're both red lol)
Haha and I’ve never bought tools just because they are red… 😅
James may would love this
We have tried to contact him but he didn’t seem bothered
Looks awesome mate
Thanks Anthony! Ryobi user?
Parkside tools Lidl great value
I was tidying up this morning when my son went to school and I had a sudden realisation that this would be amazing for nerf guns!
We have done Nerf videos, have a look on our channel!
Just out of curiosity, you constantly mention the USA and prices there. Do you sell a lot to the USA? I only ask because it's nice to see a UK based channel doing something like this as most are American, and lack relevance to me. So I was pleased to find you, but then you went all American on me hahah
Haha 45% of my audience is American so I want to try and include them from time to time 👍
Hi again, great video
Thanks Shane! Ryobi fan?
LOL
Seeing how clean ur shop is has me embarrassed to hell man..
Appreciate it very much
@@reaper060670 my pleasure mate, let me know if there's anything more I can help you with!
Thanks for the showing on how to do it for those non Carpenter's, your shack is large and most people have only a 8 x 6 shed to put there tools in, I like einhell tools German make but cheaper than Bosch and dewalt...also I'm a qualified carpenter and joiner
No problem 👍 always happy to explain for the DIYers
Looks like Ryobi have now got pliers on their website.
I don't know how you cut this stuff so clean. I made an absolute mess out of mine.
Practise mate, I’ve been doing it weekly for 7 years on UA-cam!
Bosch professional (blue) all the way!
Stay tuned 👀
Nothing wrong with Guild Argos have some good quality affordable Guild power tools too
Any guild tools you’d recommend?
Another great build, just supprised you didn't use the green foam.
It wasn’t like green so I thought it’d look a little odd
You can put th little boxes and the levels verticaly into the faom it will take less space on the tool wall
Personnaly I'm Dewalt powertool mostly
You're absolutely right and I would have done that if I had more tools to squeeze in!
Great video 👌🏻
Thanks Paul! Appreciate it mate, Ryobi user?
Have you seen the Milwaukee socket set you should do it in foam
I have seen it and I do plan on covering it on this channel! 👍
That miter mate they don't give you enough glue I've normally got quite a bit left in the can
Same here mate! 👌
Thanks for doing Ryobi
My pleasure! What would you like to see me do next?
Maybe the Hart brand from Walmart, not sure I’d Walmart is present in your part of the world but are very popular in America. Great job on your channel
Definitely makita
Might be bang on the money there! 👌
I'm using Einhell products. No complaints.. Good, affordable stuff.
I’ve got a few einhell bits and bobs, never had a problem with them!
Hasn't been the Aldi housebrand for years, though they still supply some of the current Ferrex stuff@@ShadowFoam
Those lumber prices are insane
Dovetail joints would be nice. Hehe
Great input mate, I’d be hard pressed to disagree!
I guessing you take care of you tools while many tradesmen abuse theirs
Looks like you guys have more cooler Ryobi tools then Home Depot .
Looking to judge for myself when I come to the US
Get a Festool domino jointer it makes life so easy.
Thanks for the tip!
Where was the battery? Do they get stored somewhere else? Fab job though 😄
Working on an ultimate battery storage solution, hope to show you all in a future video!
B&Q in Northwich I know it well, remember the opening in 1989
Absolutely! It’s my local and I’m there so often 👍
My dad and I call our Bosch electric screwdriver noisy crickets!!!
Dewalt makes a version of the Dart and it comes in several of their bit sets.
Awesome news! So I’ll end up with eventually then! 👍
Home depo is USA 🇺🇸. BnQ same thing here in UK 🇬🇧
Oh the OCD in me would want to mitre those corners on the beading 😂
😅
The Green Milwaukee :O
Ryobi now have three pliers on there website.
these look great, but I don't like the idea of changing a tool if one breaks or you add another to a set. I think I'll stick with a french cleat system
