Watching these videos always leaves me feeling sad and melancholic. To see the remnants of somebodys life laid bare and left to rot is so sad and a reminder that life is only temporary. We come into this world with nothing and we go out exactly the same way, whether you're rich or poor. We can't take anything with us.
Amazing video, but so sad at the same time! This was obviously once a loved house full of fond memories, owned by someone who loved their children and grandchildren. Seeing that birthday card choked me up a bit. My dad is in his late seventies now, adores our two old son and both my brother and I, and I can’t imagine what it would be like when he goes. Just goes to show what gets left behind, regardless of the life lived. Hug your parents if you’re lucky enough to still be able to. Hug your children and grandchildren if you have them.
This house leaves me feeling a little sad probably once a very happy house with grandchildren running a round its such a shame its just left to decay thanks for sharing keep up the good work x
I agree. All these explorations are so interesting but tinged with sadness too.To see a person's life encapsulated in a house like this is quite moving. It seems strange that the family would not sort out the property and personal effects. It's so sad to see a perfectly sound family home deteriorate to such an extent when there are so many homeless people out there.
The stereo next to the pile of magazines was a Panasonic combination receiver & turntable, circa 1965. I used to have one myself. Wood housing, and vacuum tubes inside. Very reliable, but it got hot if you left it on too long.
I love shows like this it reminds me when my friends and I would spend hours in abandoned places garages, houses trailers and left tons and tons of stuff.found an old fashion washer from the 1950s.thankyou for the show I really like clocks that are old
Just found your channel, subscribed! I am amazed by the beauty of your camera work. Enjoyed the explore, poor teddy left behind forever, a house descending into a hoarder's hell being reclaimed by nature. Brilliant video. SW Florida USA
Those pictures of crying children were a bit of an oddity of the late 60s, 1970s & early 80s. It is as though the artists subconscious picked up the sadness of the many children who were being abomnibally abused at the time but could not any help whatsoever because there was no-one whose role it was to listen & if you tried to start to tell someone suddenly they would just get busy or dismiss you as they did not want to take responsibility for doing anything.
Everything left behind. So sad that some family member. Didn't move in to take care of the house. There was a child our children. Who lived in the house. Things that belong to them was left. A lot of liquor sitting around. I wonder if they were an alcoholic. And the mother and child or children left. Thanks for sharing your video. Your volume was very low. Can barely hear you talk. Be safe and have a great day.
The most intriguing explore you have done. Mind you, I could say that about a lot of your videos. But this one was so special as it was left as it was. It was just so sad it was left in such a mess. And it's a shame so many treasured memories and possessions were left behind
That big lathe is beautiful, I would love to own something like that.. Those blocks in the first shed are bees wax, he probably made his own wax mixes I do the same as I am a wood turner too.
Thanks for the great video. People ask what happens to the family its such a shame! Our late Father left his house and belongings to our stepmother, It is a 16-century farmhouse with outbuildings full of his tools and machinery its such a shame but we don't speak. It would make a great video but she still pays the bills. She cannot afford the upkeep on the property so its become a wreck. Old properties need constant maintenance. It has been left as a shrine to our late father, shame!
These videos are kinda like therapy to me, like knowing other people have lost loved ones reminds me I'm not alone. I lost both my grandparents with 10 months, then just 6 years later my dad got cancer at a young age and passed away. Sad times but everyone has to go through it.
Yeah I find them weirdly therapeutic. All the stuff we worry about today will fade into irrelevance someday, like all those old newspapers headlines. Sorry for your bereavements so close together...
Great blast from the past. Making home made wine around the 1980s - 90's was popular then. Your video content edited for mainstream tv would make great programmes for people who dont do internet, social media etc there are alot of people who are missing such interesting viewing xx
Though not something you should pursue Those paintings are all very cursed and haunted I know of a lady who owned all of them but THAT particular one she even mentioned it I believe the name is "Crying Red Riding hood" if memory serves. me and some friends stayed with her over the week end while her husband was away on business (or so she told us we believe he left as there was no indication of him returning as in no male clothes ; shoes or anything save for his hunting trophies) that house was and still is the most haunted and active paranormal house I ever visited or seen to date. And those paintings cried as in the entire hall way was resounding of children crying it usually started at around midnight every night we all heard it and went into the hall way and saw them cry all of them ; at first we could not believe it and than I touched the tears and it was real tears so to make sure I tasted it (real tears taste salty) and they did taste salty so it was no water leak it was REAL DEAL TEARS! it was the craziest thing we experienced ever. this happened back around 2006 ; 3 years ago my friend whose mother know this lady told her and she told us than that the lady died though no one knows how the police ruled her death as unexplained and the coroner apparently just stated cardiac arrest as the cause of death so best stay clear of any of the "crying children" paintings. The Lady told us that there are 14 total 7 boys and 7 girls and that the artist had some kind of link to Black magick and the occult as well and that the 14 children painted was informed that they will be killed after the painting was done no clue how true that is but it does explain the cursed and haunted nature of those paintings I have no idea how she knew so much about them either.
I found this very sad by the look of the family photos there is plenty of family and plenty of children have lived there or stayed there at one time so why oh why has it got to this state thank you for the look around take care xx
Gosh it would have been a nice house, it’s quite old. Looks like there were a few antiques, the condition is bad of course. I notice there were a few updates like the kitchen counters, looked like a fairly new window in one of the bedrooms. I loved that shed or workshop with the brick walls.
You make a good point about family selling the property, there was a birthday card there. Have ever tried to claim any of the properties, I believe it can be done in certain circumstances
Some of these just make me cry. To think that nobody in that family cared enough for the people's possessions, pictures, decor etc. It's just so sad... :( These always make me want to clean a room and put it back as best I could. One would think that the owners that had passed away would be somehow pleased if someone cared enough to tidy a bit. Thank you for another video to remind us all that time indeed marches on...
When you come across “abandoned” properties, trust me they are NOT abandoned. When someone dies “intestate” that without a will leaving the property to the “will hunters” who have to hold the estate frozen in time for up to THIRTY YEARS and find the relatives who are related (obviously) to the deceased. They may not be able to locate anyone but YOU may break the case by giving away the names and addresses of the property. SHOW the property because just might be able to remember the old relative. Remember it is almost impossible to make a false claim👍
Call me silly for Milly, but, sure would like to hear her comments as well, more history, background origins, etc. Please & thank yous, love what you're doing, I.e. My forefathers(Wood) were possibly Welch settlers to Nova Scotia, Canada, south of Yarmouth in Woods' Harbor.
Hiya, I just come across your video's and you make a superb job filming, I love your video's, but please be careful especially when going up stairs 👍👍 good job mate
Another fabulous location from you again! The van collapsing in on itself was amazing and the window at the top of the stairs must have shown a mesmerising view when it was clear 😍 So sad to see what was very clearly a much loved family home in such decay and ruin 😞 Wonderful video, thank you for sharing your find 😊
Tried looking up SMC 530F but couldn't find anything. I don't know what it would've been anyway, possibly an older Bedford. An F reg would've put it around 1968.
I would say late 90's there was a Hoover purepower upright vacuum cleaner and they only started making them in 97 and there was a bob the builder child's glass in the kitchen cupboard I think that was late 90s poss 98 couldn't see anything that would date the house much later than that, got to have been empty for at least 10 poss 15 years maybe longer.
As soon as I saw the back of that van I recognised it for the Bedford that it was. The "vinyls" you found are 78 rpm records made of shellac which is a kind of hard wax, a primitive plastic almost. When you show photos that you find does nobody ever recognise anyone and contact you about them? That`s always puzzled me.

This has all happened quite quickly, the vacuum cleaner at the start of the video is a Hoover Purepower that dates from around 2005. So the house was lived in until then unless somebody put the Hoover there afterwards which is extremely unlikely. A recluse probably lived there who couldnt keep up with maintenance and it probably started to look 'abandoned' long before it actually was.
That's doesn't seem like enough time for this place to have gotten in the state it is with furniture collapsing. Looks like it would have to have been abandoned by the late 90's.
Has anyone approached local governments? that after using all due diligence, appropriate searches for existing relatives,to then request a license which grants an individual the ownership rights of said property,.after either repairing or clearing a property of its dwellings? I see so many useful items in these abandoned homes. set up a resale shop to help offset expenses for the demolishing?. Cute house. Adore the stairs and the sweet 2nd floor space. I appreciate the respect you have for these homes and the contents. God Bless and be safe!
Probably blocks of Bees Wax not cheese. To use in candle-making or creating a polish for wood. Thankyou for sharing.
This house leaves me feeling a little sad probably once a very happy house with grandchildren running a round its such a shame its just left to decay thanks for sharing keep up the good work x
This is a very interesting house. However it is sad too. There was Grampa enjoying time with the Grand-children & then one day no-more.
Your comment made me smile then sad.
❤😍😘

The old van is a Bedford Shooting Brake, used a lot by farmers in the 60's. I had one many years ago.
Wow this looks absolutely amazing everything left. Such a shame. Would have been beautiful in its day. 👍👍👍👍
Excellent explore! Loved the unexpected stairs up. 🎉❤
Yes, that is an old reel to reel tape player & recorder. My Grandad had one in the 1960s, used it to make sound-tracks for the cine-films he made.
I also had an old reel to reel tape recorder back around 1969.
Its funny that when a house is abandoned it looses it soul..it dies or gos dormant..waiting for people to live there..
Andrew Vitale so well said Andrew !!
@@reneeduffy84 Strange isn't it and it seems places where strong emotions were played out....they seem to decay quite rapidly.

Whine you were in the shed you said oh look at all the wood!!! I think he was a carpenter. Remember all the woodworking magazines inside the house?

Lots of memories...and the nature. Amazingly covered the whole area. I am so fascinated by old houses like this. It felt good to explore 😍
Me too😭❤️
Loved the video!! The windows upstairs were my favorite, of all the things I saw. Sad that no family members claimed anything.
Thanks for the great video.

Great video very interesting also very sad it looks like they all passed away a lovely workshop I would love to have that best wishes

You think the 80's is really old? I was born in the 50's and that isn't old enough for my liking!
Me too. I laugh when these young folks say that.
Don't worry he thinks 1965 is very old!

Love watching your videos, they are always interesting, but still sad it was left to rot. Look forward to your next explore.
Wow! What a great find! I loved the very nice video. Thanx and i look forward to your next explore
Great video, as ever. Thank you! One could do a good few car boot sales with all of this!
One could also get arrested too for taking things and selling them too. This guy is doing right by not stealing these things no matter how tempting.

The van is a Bedford CA
So sad. I want to go in and clean.
That van is the remains of a Bedford CA van that has seen better days.
Great explore you did, my favorite for some odd reason was the portrate of the little sad girl. Thumbs up👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I suspect alcohol played more than a little part in this family's downfall.

Another great video, on the old bikes, I had a Gresham Flyer in the mid 1980s.
Such a shame that these houses are left to die and the former owners possessions history just rotten away memories gone
That's the worst part of it. Someone died and nobody cared. At least you do!The van is a Fedford CA.
I love the oval windows..

I'm surprised you didn't recognise the Smurf by the shape of his hat, even though they are usually blue.
I thought it was a Smurf too but as you say, their hats are normally blue.Perhaps he saved that one for best Lol.

I`ve just brought up in relation to all the photos. You`d think that someone would jump up and say "Hey, that`s me" or something similar.
I found that strange too. There may be quite a sad story behind this.
came here from a sticker in portsmouth lol, nice video
sad that hes gone and the family are not interested in anything

Given the chance to buy it I would complete the block bowl on the lathe in honour of the craftsman that lived there.
Hey cool! My parents bought me the Star Wars puzzle seen at 14:09 back in 1977.

Not a Crescent Flyer, a Gresham Flyer, made by Raleigh and an 80's one in the video.
I'm wondering if the van's not a mid sixties Bedford. It certainly looks like one.
Simon BA I was thinking Bedford too.

Great find guys really interesting , and I would of ran right out if that bat came near me 🥺
I`D SAY THE LATE 90`S IT WAS VACATED.
AT 19;44 THAT WAS BLOCKS OF WAX USED FOR HIS WOODWORK..

great vid as always but what ashame the house has been left like that
Hope that bat went away! Loved the ending!
Can you report the bat to the bat society so they know about it as they are protected and can land mark it ...
Funny i was thinking the same as most places that have bats nesting are quickly presurved or bats carefully removed into sanctuary.
If i have money to buy it. I'll definitely buy it❤️
Think the photo at 17:26 could have been taken in the living room. The carpet and furniture pattern seems to match...
I saw the Dolphin. LOL
