I flew the 757 for 20 years before retirement. This is the best training video on UA-cam, delivered in a very clear manner and up to the standard of the best in real world type rating training.
I started flying the FF757 yesterday. I was looking for a good tutorial. I found this one and started watching, well aware that watching a 4.5 hr tutorial is just ridiculous and I prolly not gonna finish it in one go. But surprise: I did! And I took many notes. Thats how good this tutorial is. IMHO its the best 757/767 tutorial You can prolly ever watch! Thank You Matteo & Kudos for that!
This is a great video. It really helped me get deeper into the 767, but your style of explaining the logic of what you're doing and why has given me a better understanding of all aircraft I fly.
I bought the 767 pro extended for 99$. First puchase I ever made for a flightsim. I was pretty nervous cause of the price. This video helped me make an informed decision. I think it's worth the price if you want a more realistic experience.
Wow! Just stumbled on your video. Tremendous content. My notebook is now full of useful information that I did not derive from the manuals. Mille Grazia! Added to my favorites, as I will be referring back to refresh my notes!
I love how complete this video feels. Very few channels cover all these procedures on ground before/after the flight where a lot of important stuff happens. My dream is one day to be able to do a transatlantic flight, with winter conditions at departure and destination, starting cold and dark, and ending with securing the airplane 🙂
Excellent tutorial, one of the best I've seen. You demonstrated a deep level of understanding of every aspect you covered in the video and a casual familiarity that could only have come from long hours of practice and experience. I especially enjoyed the risk assessment and briefing before takeoff.
Simply great....easy to follow and packed with extra little snippets of information that only emerge after lots of detailed research. Superb job Matteo, as with the 'A350 C&D' vid, and 'VOR to VOR' for the B722 and B732 tutorials, this is now my 'go to' refresher tutorial for the 75/767.....thank you for all your hard work. 👍
I'm still re-watching this video with keen interest. The FF 767 isn't perfect but you helped me learn it, and learn airliner flying in the process. I also watched and flew the MD-80 Genova video a few times.
Thank You Matteo! It was a grind but I worked my way all the way through the video for the first time. Learning such a complex aircraft (and airliner piloting at the same time) is quite a challenge. I'll be flying the route/tutorial a few more times to build experience and familiarity. At least with some repetition one relies less and less on the instruction/video. I think I'll be working on the airborne portion only quite soon. I also fly the MD-80 and Q400. I started with the Q400 and the MD-80 has made a fairly logical stepping stone.
Hi Matteo. Your tutorials are incredible. As a simmer for fifteen years never seen anyone with such insight and dedication. Thanks for what you do. Have a request. Wondering if you could do a tutorial on the new Rotate MD 11 for X Plane 12. Thanks.
Thank you very much for your kind comment, it's really appreciated!! I'm afraid I have stopped investing in X-Plane and I am now mostly simming on MSFS. I would love to try the MD11 but I'm afraid it's too expensive considering I hardly use X-Plane nowadays 😔
@@matteochewie4373 Thank you for responding. This loss represents sad times for X Plane simmers. Eternal grateful for all you have done. Enjoy MSFS. All the best.
Howdy Mateo, I’ll be adding the 76 type to my license. Wanting to get jump on training I’d like to set up a little home sim. Couple of questions: 1) Looks like you’re using XPlane 11? 2) What computer are you using? Speed? 3) How much RAM? And how many gig HD? 4) How did you get a Boeing app on your EFB? Is that a subscription service? 5) Are you using AVSIM for your your flights and FMC flight plan inputs? Thank you in advance. Excellent, truly superb training vid!
Amazing tutorial mate!! But i have a simple problem, that is that i can´t open the door that leads to the passenger area... idk why it seems to be broken. Do u know how can i fix this?! Thanks!!
Thank you for this great tutorial! I was able to master the aircraft in one day by watching the video and making myself a personal checklist to use! Just one thing, I pressed TOGA for the fmc in Takeoff Ref, all is verifed there. When I go to takeoff I hit THR the aircraft accelerates but then it starts to decelerate and I am forced to manually do TOGA. Is that how *TOGA* is meant to work or is there a problem. I can guarantee aircraft is all set up properly
Glad to hear you found the tutorial useful. With regards to your issue, do you have a thrust levers peripheral? The issue you described normally happen because of "noise" from your thrust levers. It can be solved by activating the THROTTLE BLOCK option in the EFB options. Bear in mind that once you activate that option, to be able to regain control of the throttle when you deactivate the autothrottle, you will have to move your hardware's thrust levers to match the position of the ones in the plane. Look up Flight Factor 767 Throttle Block on Google for a few forum topics on it. I hope this helps.
@@matteochewie4373 I do own a throttle peripheral (Logitech Throttle Quadrant) though it is not connected to my PC at this time (stored in a box). I use F1 and F2 for throttle in XP11, its so much easier and smoother then having to configure throttle inputs. This also works for reverse thrust, by idling the throttles then click once on the reverse thrust activating it, you then hold down F2 to maximise reverse thrust and deactivate it by clicking the reverse thrust again for it so close. I'll try throttle block and see what happens, I'm guessing no effect will be present due to no throttle quadrant being connected to the desktop, cheers :)
Just picked up the 767, this is perfect 👌 thank you!! I am really curious for more details on how you set up the throttles, like you I have the airbus set..can you set it up to work with the reversers? edit: just to update, the TM airbus TQ worked just fine without any other setup..to my surprise.
Do you know why the FF767 is taking a huge toll on my laptop? Upgraded Acer nitro 5 8-12 GB VRAM and I went from having a good 40-60fps with high graphics to having super low graphics and 15-30 fps, wth happened?
That's strange because the FF767 is definitely one of the most forgiving addons there are, on par with Toliss planes. Make sure you don't use the modern avionics option, as that drains a lot of fps.

Thanks again.

probably one of the best tutorials for any flight sim airplane out there. very well done and very well explained.!!

You're the master, and this plane is gorgeous. Great combination!

Without this tutorial i wouldve have gotten my 757 to the taxi stage let alone pre flight checks, thanks for a great tutorial man!
Superb job, Matteo! Absolutely worth all the effort you’ve put into this!
Thanks a lot! I've been looking for this for long.
Superb tutorial, it's help me tremendously to get familiar with the 757, thanks for the time and study you have put into the video ✈️✈️✈️

WOW! Great video, I learned a lot of info I didn't know about the 767. Was wondering how to fly an RNAV approach in a Boeing.
Very good in depth and easy to follow along ;) Would love to see more of the same.Perhaps FF a350
Super instructions; thank you.

Would you happen to have the Simbrief profile for the 757-200 variants? Thanks!
Nicely done! What are the plugins you use?
How did you get your simbrief flight plan up in the cockpit please?
