- Starting at the Grassy Lake Reservoir Trailhead, we backpacked to Ouzel Pool (Scout Pool), a warm waterfall, and also Union Falls in Yellowstone National Park. We spent three days and hiked a total of 22 miles. Ouzel Pool is a natural pool that is fed by a warm river. Union Falls is the second tallest waterfall in Yellowstone. The warm waterfall is a two-tiered waterfall that is very difficult to get to.
Thanks for letting me vicariously retrace my steps from 1992 through your video!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Hal! Thanks for watching
It's called Morning falls, about a mile upstream from Ouzel pool. Tough hike, don't et lost.
Outstanding!
Thank you, Byron!
Nice video. Getting excited for our trip in a week. On you website you say the backcountry campsites have vault toilets. Just wanted to double check that. Thanks
Yes! The vault toilets are out in the open and just a simple pit with a toilet seat. I hope you have a great time! It's such a fun and unique hike!
Thanks for sharing bud!
Happy to share the trail with you guys!
Great video. Can you provide more direction on how to get to that warm waterfall that is difficult to get to? Would love to try and find it. Thanks, Chris
Hi Chris! I originally put more detail in the video description, but was contacted by some in authority and told to delete it...
@@TheTrekPlanner That sucks. Is there a way you can provide directions on it privately? I promise I won't mention you did or publicly post info on the directions. Thanks and great video! Which trailhead did you hike from originally?
It's a public park. If the park service doesn't want people to go to it then they should list it as a closed area. Just my opinion.
I will also add that a person might want to check out Dunanda Falls in Bechler Area as it has warn water soaking area.
Where is the waterfall after the pool? How do you get to it
