WHY DO SIM MAKERS DO THIS

Fleeting Froogle episode 4 and I've stumbled into two of my pet annoyances with sims today! Why oh WHY do sim makers not have a clue about common control configs? Why oh WHY do the makers of sims that would be ideal for VR, NOT SUPPORT VR!!!!!!
First look at Aerosoft Glider sim is not going well.
