He’s saying women can now apply to join the special forces in Britain. Which is true, but none have passed the training, in fact no women have passed the 4th week of infantry training in Britain.
Didn't they lower the requirements for women to get in the army because combat training is sexist? Fire fighters too, a fire fighter used to have to be able to carry an average human to safety, but that requirement no longer exists.
Violet Fyxe I can speak on law enforcement in 🇺🇸 that would shock most people. I always say there needs to be a requirement for anyone to drag my 6’4” 237 lb frame (full kit) out of a bad situation if need be. Excellent point
As far as i know the german special forces (KSK) have always been open for women but no women has ever passed it either. There were talks about lowering the standards for women for the KSK but i think it fell through (luckily).
Although women’s brains are smaller than men’s they have more gray matter. www.medicaldaily.com/brain-facts-know-and-share-men-have-lower-percentage-gray-matter-women-292530 There doesn’t really seem to be a cut and dry answer as to who is brain is “best“. Both brains are good at doing different things. Women’s brains are smaller, but their neurons are closer together, and have less ttravel to communicate. Sort of like a CPU with a smaller nanometer transistor. It’s one of the same reasons that the “bird brain“ is so intelligent. They have very small brains but their interconnections are very close together.
CJ Thanks for sharing. However you do understand how studies are derived? Especially scientific and psychologically influenced tests in which there is no absolute truth or calculation?
As a female athlete myself, I can say it is impossible to beat a males strength simply because they are generically born stronger and they just add to that strength and power when they train as opposed to a female. So regardless of how heavy she lifts, she'll be strong, powerful and lethal in her own right but she can never be compared to a male athlete.
@@Jesus-wj3lj In a world where feminists are on the rise and fight to have the pedestal, its no surprise women don't want to admit it and convince themselves they are "equals" to men. It's shambolic really.
@Mizzy UK but females deserve so much respect because every female has a way higher pain tolerance than any main without a doubt and we definitely aint having no babies soooooo. We may be stronger but yall go thru some stuff. FULL RESPECT✋🏿.
The difference between male and female athletes is that a male tennis player ranked 500th in the world would beat the best female tennis player in the world and a football ( soccer) team consisting of a bunch of 15 year olds would beat the best female football team in the world that's the difference between male and female Atheletes
@Brendan Frieders We will be integrated with machines in the future..Space travel and colonizing other planets is key to our survival. And how do you survive those harsh conditions and long space travel?Become a machine!
There's also an evolutionary advantage for men to be more sensitive to pain. Being the larger stronger faster of the two, men are the protectors, the hunters, etc. A higher fear of pain creates more motivation to win against predictors and other men. So although a higher threshold for pain is definitely cool, its not necessarily beneficial for survival. Athletics, however, perhaps a different story.
This whole pain shit is fucking bullshit lmao. If you deck a dude in the face it’s going to feel the same if not worse for a woman if she’s being decked across the face. Men *literally* have thicker and tougher skin than women, larger and thicker bones, and we have more mass than women. we’re not more sensitive to pain and women aren’t fucking tanks that can have bowling balls thrown at them and take it like nothing happened.. 😂
Absolute nonsense,as a former soldier i've been in mixed units and the women ,almost without fail, fell behind in almost every aspect.I'm fine with them being there if they can match the standards expected but from what i've seen most can't. Women may well be able to endure the pain but they are naturally at a disadvantage. At the lower end (standard soldiering) they can work harder to catch up but at the top end (marines etc) the differences between the sexes becomes overtly apparent, the male advantage (i believe its around 30% extra muscle mass) at the top end has a overwhelming impact. Its anaecdotal but as a soldier what i saw was at some points they couldn't even get off the ground with full kit on,even when another female soldier helped... .. I once saw on the firing range during basic training a mind breaking example of bad technique We each had 5 rounds to fire down range at a target.Next to me was a guy and next to him was the woman in question. She got 2 shots on her target and the guy next to me had 7 shots on target-despite only having 5 rounds;Yes,she'd missed so badly she hit a totally different persons target TWICE.The worst thing was the other round didn't hit any targets,it hit the wooden overhang about 10 metres above the target. Of all the women in the unit only 2 of them were equally as good as the men,the rest were terrible. Every male soldier out there will tell you that the standards overall have either dropped in terms of performance or the bar by which they are measured is different or lowered (for example extra time on runs, less pull ups and so on) Like any other sector diversity has hit the armed forces and the overall standard has dropped because of it. Some women can achieve equal footing with the men but the sad truth is most can't and as of right now we are too busy being progressive so we've lowered the standards just to look good.
Yeah i have no problems with women in a unit but when you lower the standard to allow them to join its because your trying to meet some diversity quota
Mr X completely agree. What you said is relative to what Jordan Peterson said, mostly similar until you get to the extreme. I watched something on here where jim west, an old american green beret, told a story about how they tried to do this back in the 80's and failed miserably. He told a story about a training jump where they were supposed to land in water but a thermal pocket carried the only woman on the jump over land. Since they were jumping over water they had bouyancy compensators that had straps go across the chest. When she got hung up in a tree she disconnected her parachute harness and was caught on the straps. She suffocated before anyone could get there because she couldn't do a pull up under stress. Add the modern kit that a soldier has to wear that has increased substantially over the past 30 years and it becomes even worse.
From my time in the Navy, i noticed women were not as capable as men in a physical aspect. That's only in the Navy, so i bet it's worse in the other branches where physical standards mean more. I had to be in a Integrated Division while i was in Basic Training. So i saw first hand how women are like in the Military from the start. A good percentage of them could barely run a Mile in a half, let alone the time frame that needed to be to run. The idea of women having combat roles is both dangerous and asinine. Don't get me wrong, women in the Military is a great thing. But there needs to be limitations on what they can and cannot do.
Basic training during a ruck march I had to carry two extra m16's due to two woman in my company gave up after only 5 miles and then bitched at me because they couldnt keep up with pace and so they complained to the drill sergeant and needless to say the next thing I heard was half left face front lean rest position move
A Fury True however women seemingly can do better than men in one endurance contest, ultra marathon swimming. Whether it’s buoyancy or better fat burning, i dont know. But women should be able to surpass men in this very specific contest.
@@Mark_Cook it's not fat burning- they are worse at that- it's just fat, itself When you're still considered healthy and you're 29% bodyfat, it'll make a difference
@@selenophile410 i forget where I read it but I just googled pain tolerance difference between genders and it just said STUDIES show generally males have higher pain thresholds and tolerances.
Just look at American Ninja Warrrior. Without fail, women have a much higher rate of attrition. It took forever for a woman to beat the warped wall. The top athletes are always men. I believe they even changed the rules for female participants so more of them would be able to compete.
We need to stop pretending most women can physically match most men. I’ve trained in mma for four years and I do hard sparring. I spar against my male training partner who outweighs me by 50lbs. Once he got a few months of training he beat me every time, even though I was technically better. I got a lot of injuries too. I had to stop sparring hard against him at the year point because it was getting brutal. If women are going to join the special forces they need to meet the same standards as men, because there are a few women who can and they are the only ones who deserve it. Women have our own gifts, we don’t need to pretend we are as strong as men.
Mental fortitude and ability to endure pain seems purely dependent on the person, but the difference in athleticism is generally in men’s favor in a huge way
I think preaching that men and women are the same physically is dangerous. I get really nervous at judo when I'm sparring with a woman, if I accidentally go too hard then I could injure someone and not just me, most guys. I usually will just let them practice pins 😏
The first time I sparred women was in an MMA class. A few women had great technique but the power in their punches was noticeably weaker than the guys in class. Also, it's just less fun to practice grappling/striking with women. They were usually too eager to "prove themselves" against the men and had a chip on their shoulder. I also hated the way they got preferential treatment by the school hosting female only sessions but never male only.
@@Nepthu thats cuz, pretty much almost every bjj class ever is male only. Thats changing now of course, but its vastly a male dominated martial art (as are most!) I can go to any bjj club in the world and I could probably put money on there being no girls turn up. Sure a lot of clubs might have, but they are so far and few between bro lol.
in saying that, I think the whole "female only" classes are a way to get more females to get a foot in the door of the art and not feel as "intimidated" (in the words of my own bjj club's promotional poster), so to speak. I can imagine most women would not like the sound of the idea of large, sweaty, hairy men being so close to contact with them, its the very thing I'd imagine they try to avoid lol! But thats the image of BJJ in most peoples' heads and I dont blame em lol (I mean, cmon, we roll around on the floor trying to play-kill eachother and we call it "rolling" lol). If a female wants to begin training with only females, or forever train with them, I say more power to them. I agree with your idea of mens only classes too, but I mean isn't that generally the case already? Hence my prequel comment. Respect friend.
I think its important to mention that pain tolerance thresholds are not what make a warrior great. Its, attitude, endurance, strength, patience, focus and so many other things. There are women out there who are far better warriors than me, I'm sure. My only reservation to women in combat roles is that men are naturally protective of women. It's in our DNA to keep them safe and avenge any harm that comes their way. Their's no room for that in a combat arms unit.
Cuz diversity and they're queens and ain't no man gonna make no woman not do thangs a man is ''supposedly'' better at! (fingersnaps in Z formation). This is the world that we live in m. slayer. Just imagine the social, political, economic, and political landscape when merit is only worth 20% of the equation and the rest is diversity and ''feelings''.
@LocalToast it's alright man there's a natural ebb and flow to everything. We'll get the next few thousand years and eventually we'll either all be dead due to climate change or it'll be so difficult to etch out difference that race won't matter. Either way it doesn't matter.
Why start a revolution when you already have men competing against each other and doing whatever you wish for a whif of va jay jay? To learn who rules over you simply ask “who can I not criticize “.
As a female really into fitness and martial arts I can assure that men are way stronger than females. I can stand out between my fellow female partners but with my male partners there’s no way to beat them. It’s just nature, we have different skills and attributes.
The pain of passing a kidney stone is supposed to be the equivalent to the pain of child birth. Let me tell you, if this is true, then women certainly have the advantage there. I'm very tough man. I ruptured my Achilles tendon and drove myself to the ER. In a manual transmission Jeep. I was hit by a car while on my bicycle and broke my collar bone, and walked to the ER with my bike on the other shoulder because the wheels wouldn't turn to roll it. But when I had a kidney stone, I cried like a baby. Three shots of morphine and I was still moaning and writhing in pain. Men, pick up the phone and tell your mother that you love her. You owe it to her.
And yet still I don't believe... Brain Shaw , 4x worlds strongest man, had his wife go into a ice tub with him and she said in her own words this is worse than child birth. You can find the video on youtube... I had prp and stemcell injected from the front of my neck all the way to my spine c6 to c7 disc multiple times with no anesthesia, and you better not move otherwise you'll rip the disc apart.and possibly paralysis.. the nurses were crying in the room looking at me... they asked the doctor why is he doing it cold turkey?.. doc said because he throws up 12 to 16 hours straight after anesthesia so all the good that I'm injecting he's going to un do it from forcing his muscles while throwing up.. if my wife had to do this she'd be dead ... What Im tryin to say is no matter man or woman some can take it and some cant NO MATTER THE SEX.
Passing a kidney stone for men is actually slightly more painful than childbirth. Passing a kidney stone for men is more painful than passing a kidney stone for women. This is because of differences in the route the kidney stone takes. Plus, womens brains secrete painkilling chemicals to dull the pain of childbirth so they are not traumatised for life. Your brain, during your kidney stone experience, did not. You have just disproved your original statement of "women having the advantage" in regards to pain tolerance, with your own experiences.
@@a32-h6u the chemicals are endorphins and both genders release it in response to pain. So it’s probably likely that for both scenarios, endorphins would be released. But I’m not against the belief that passing a kidney stone would be more painful than child birth.
Well let me explain this for you. At my school (I’m a senior in hs) we have fitness tests that we’re graded on. For our push-up test an A is 35 min (most men can’t do that) for the girls it’s 15 (most women can’t do that. And so on for the rest of the tests.
Idk about the UK but the US lowered the requirements for training specifically for women. The intensity of the training also has lead to the many health problems for the women who did graduate.
Women do well at long distance swimming because they have more fat, which makes you a lot more buoyant. A moderately fit person can swim for an hour+ if they have a good, efficient stroke, and that's all technique. Being more buoyant gives you more wiggle room when fatigue sets in and that stroke starts to become less efficient, which is when things quickly unravel. As for pain tolerance, it's been tested many times and women consistently show markedly lower pain tolerance.
I told my class the other day that men are stronger than women when the teacher asked the difference between men and women and the class gasps like I was crazy LMFAOO
Why females are better at ultramarathons : their body uses less nutrients to function and they are usually lighter. Evolutionary speaking, there is no use to being able to run an ultramarathon. That's just not a thing human beings do when resources are scarce. Females are more efficient when it comes to consuming the least amount of nutrients for the same amount of effort. This is also the reason why they carry more fat on their body. When I hear about better pain tolerance for child birth I feel like I am living in the 19th century. By the way, testosterone contributes considerably to pain tolerance, but pain tolerance doesn't matter as much as being able to supply nutrients to the muscles during the entire ultramarathon.
Wrong. There is a huge evolutionary advantage to running ultra marathons. That's literally what humans evolved to do. That's why we can do it. Humans evolved to legally run prey animals to death. An antelope can easily outrun us for a mile or two, but over 20 miles they can't keep going. They fall over from exhaustion and the humans just catch up and kill it. And it isn't just women, it's all humans. Because back then, the entire tribe went on the hunt, otherwise by the time the hunt was over, you'd be 20-50 miles away from each other. If you think I'm wrong, then you explain to me why humans can run farther than any other animal on earth. It wasn't too fun away from predators, we are too slow for that. It certainly wasn't to chase down vegetables.
@@KurNorock There is a huge evolutionary advantage to being able to run long distances. That is true indeed. However, these long distances are not ultramarathons. I think you are misappreciating distances here. Furthermore, primitive hunting included a lot of walking, not just running, because finding the track of an animal requires to stop to inspect the ground. There is a reason why men are better than women at running marathons and "shorter" ultramarathons. As part of the same species, of course women share a lot of that ability, but not to the same extent.
@@chilliboy99 Not at all : humans are good long distance runners (below the 40 miles range) but ultramarathons are useless and were never a thing in primitive societies.
@@gentleman_of_the_pen wrong. Primitive persistence hunting involves very little to no walking. Walking makes you slow and gives your prey time to rest, which is counter productive. Current persistence hunters track while running at high speeds. They only show down to a moderate jog while actively chasing the animal. Once the animal is out of sight they pick up the pace to catch up quickly and not let the animal rest. A typical hunt will cover 16 to 22 miles, though it can go much much longer, depending on the animal, the terrain, the ambient temperature, the health of the animal, etc. Also, once you can run 20 miles at a fast pace without collapsing from exhaustion, you are pretty much guaranteed to be able to run 40 miles as well. It wouldn't make any sense at all for a persistence hunter to also collapse from exhaustion after 20 miles. You don't spend your life at the maximum limits of your ability. You would die in no time. The same way your car can go 140mph, but you only cruise at 30-70mph, a persistence hunter had the ability to run 40+ miles by typically only has to run around half that.
Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree with what you're saying. As a woman I cannot compete in terms of physical strength/speed with the guys I train with. Not even in my dreams. But, having said all of that, I am much more confident that I could defend myself better against random street harassers. (The ones that I attract are usually old and criple anyways 😑) And I feel like creeps are bothering me less because training gave me more natural confidence.
Street harassers usually go easier on women then they do on men, if they were going the same rate of aggression on you as they had on the men you most likely wouldn't survive. If you were in an actual fight against a man, no amount of training technique would do much to the guy attacking you. (btw for all of you "strong independent women" out there, that is REAL harassment, not a random gym bro looking in your direction for 0.1-1 second.)
@@dichi3163 Women are more likely to be stalked, while men are more likely to be attacked/robbed. Women fear being attacked, men are actually attacked.
What the fuck is going on in this comment section ? Guys saying that men are *better* than women ?! I think the biggest differences between men and women (besides physical strength) come from the education they are given. Men are told that they need to be strong and women that they need to be "nice". Saying that men are better than wimen (or the opposite) is simply sexist.
My girlfriend just got in a huge argument with me because I told her that men, on average, are physically stronger than women. She seriously thought I was making it up...
No offence to your girlfriend but it really surprises me people could really be so naive! Just looking at the average size differences between men and women you'd think intuitively it would be obvious to everyone. Guess its the result of feminist brainwashing in advertising and films lately.
@@BENBOBBY No offense taken. it really surprised me that we had that argument. I was basically like "just look around you...it's pretty obvious". I even showed her a few scientific studies explaining the differences in things like testosterone level and what-not, but she was more than happy being willfully ignorant. Baffled me tbh.
I’m all for it if they have to fit the same physical standards as men. The issue is that the women have a much easier go than men do to get into the military. When my life is on the line, I want the biggest and best of both genders; I want to know their qualifications are identical and my life isn’t more in danger because a female is in my squad than a male
Talk to women who have had children and a kidney stone...most will say the kidney stone pain is worse. I myself have been rushed to the ER with a kidney stone, it's an experience you'll never forget.
Maybe this is why children learn martial arts so well, not just their sponge-like ability to learn, but their need to get technique correct in order to have success.
I remember being told by a doctor, but I forget who, that women's brain dump endorphins easier than men's brain. It being an evolutionary advantage for childbirth. So when a person hits a high amount of pain, your brain will dump those endorphins to help. Which shows that those examples of men going through child birth pain is kinda unfair for men. There brains just don't dump the endorphins like a female brain will.
As a man I was struggling, not really, it was easy, I pretended to struggle. Women can't do this, believe me. Maybe the outliers, can pretend to be a weak man. The difference between a man and a woman are like the difference between a cat and a dog, each are strong in their own way.
People need to calm the fuck down in the comments. Joe and Ross are talking specifically about female grit (not performance) in endurance sports (not explosive sports), and their aptitude for learning (not talent).
Fun fact: An average Australian boys football club of 15 year olds beat the Australian women’s national team by a blowout of 7 to 0. Mind you this female team is the same team that plays during the world cup.
Do not let this Distract you In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find them... maybe you can hire... The A-Team.
Psychologically, the way yoy train mental fortitude is to practice being mentally tough in stressful situations. There's no shortcut. Behaviors develop into habits. And new habits help change the way the brain fires and therefore helps enhance brain structure, if the neural pathway is worked enough, the brain gets more efficient at stimulating a action poteitial through said super-cell networks.
The 100 yard dash should be a good (objective) measure of the strength and athleticism between men and women. Usain Bolt won the men's gold in the 100 yard dash at the Beijing Olympics with a time of 9.69 seconds. Shelly-Ann Fraser won the woman's gold in the 100 yard dash at the Beijing Olympics with a time of 10.78 seconds. The last time the male world record for the 100 yard dash was comparable with the Beijing women's olympic gold record for the 100 yard dash was over 100 years ago. Your examples are right, but he was talking about ultramarathons, which are significantly longer than normal marathons (100km+, even 100miles+). Not that it has any influence on the results whatsoever.
I have no idea what this guy was talking about with the ultramarathon stuff. All of the ultramarathon records are held by men. Women can do some pretty cool stuff, but don't pretend that the best of women can compete with the best of men on any kind of endurance test.
Mental toughness, tolerance to pain, blablabla. None of that shit matters if your body physically fails by the 5th pullup. Let them do the same tests as men and compare.
That’s great they can take pain and learn technique better. But that’s not what combat is about once your in combat it’s the most primal part of your Brain at work something men have developed for thousands of years
Joe I have to say I disagree with ya bro, I am male and personally, I think pain tolerance is down to the individual. Pregnant women create biological anaesthetics to numb the vagina a bit to reduce the pain (which is obviously not possible for a man doing a simulation) additionally, I personally take pride in my own pain tolerance. I'm sure there are men and women both who are more resiliant to pain than me but as an example, when doing conditioning at mma, I outlasted 3 other guys combined at body conditioning and got a similar time to a girl who has been training in mma for much longer than me and has much better conditioning
Women can definitely be trained to fight wars. Requires a different approach to adjust for physical differences I have no doubt that with a suitable approach women can become. effective with their missions. US military don't win because the men are physically stronger.
For me to be comfortable with lets say a female partner in my line of work is this. 1) Must be able to spar with me at a minimum of 80% effort on my half. 2)Must be able to pick me up, and carry me 100yards. 3)Must have equivalent training.
You guys are right, women should replace all infantry and special forces soldiers. They can swim really far and learn better. Weve been fighting wars wrong this whole time.
because some people have type 1 muscle fiber types ( marathon runner ) and some people are born with type 2x muscle fibers which is best for force production ( heavy weight lifters). Majority of people ( average people ) have a 50% 50% of both types - type 2a. Most top athletes have more of the other muscle fiber types. They can recruit more muscle fibers at once. ( type 2X) Also called slow and fast twitch muscle fibers.
I'm down for Joe Rogan going back to school for neuroscience. I think his insight would be beneficial for the field. When you think about it we do have things that are like this they're just now being studied. Autism for example is showing some parallels with increased brain activity in the wrong areas such as higher Alpha and theta waves States. Which is probably why Israel is having success in using cannabis oil with 1% THC and 5% CBD. Ben indirect studies the show that cannabis actually lowers Alpha and Theta wave States.
He is talking about women dominating in womens events, why do womens sports have dominating figures, its because the sports are not as competitive. A women will never beat her male counterpart in any sport, ever.
Men also know how to drive, use technology & can actually research the answer to a question using the internet. Men are more likely to be self sufficient. Most women want to claim they're independent, but somehow still want a manion to do their bidding. Double standards, hypocrisy, etc... I could go on & on.
Well, I think Github has disproved that. Women who code but don't ID their sex have their code approved much more often than if they ID as female. This proves that when they need to perform in tech, they are being stereotyped and that normal mistakes associated with learning are more likely to be attributed to inability rather than learning. So I don't think you know anything at all.
When im taking a massive dump, when i get constipated at times, that hurts like hell, I cant even imagine the pain women go through delivering a baby out of a little gash, I give them all the respect in the world for their pain tolerance.
I used to spat women who were black belts...I was about 255 of muscle though and they couldn't punch me without tristwing their wrists....there was no reason for me to spar a women unless it was me being a moving punching bag
Their are female Marines and Air Force,Army, and Navy, but it is a small margin. I want to see more females in the military, but Males are more into strength and brawls and we can go and keep up. Females are sometimes good at that like maybe 30% while the other 70% are having a hard time keeping up. Btw? No Pain No Gain!
They were talking about the Royal Marines Commando's in this clip, which is a different ball game to USMC and other regular forces (note that the basic training alone is 32 weeks). Maybe 1 in ten thousand women could pass RM training, and that's probably being way too optimistic. Not many men would pass it either tbh, it's more like Navy Seal BUD/S than what regular forces go through.
I thought for pain tolerance men still came out ahead? like I remember reading something about male and female ballet dancers (one of the most painful sports because of pointe) and it compared how long they could keep their hands in ice water. and men came out ahead significantly every time. the dancers both came out way ahead of any plebian non dancers doh.
Men and women perform equally in every department, not only in athletics. Here's me proving my point - the world records for Shot put - a strength track and field event for throwing is virtually the same for both sexes ~23m. Here's me fact checking the weight of the shot - the one for men is almost twice as heavy. Damn it, there goes my argument...
The common comment about males "falling apart" when experiencing simulated pregnancy pains is completely irrelevant. The stakes for a woman undergoing pregnancy? Creating life. The stakes for a man undergoing simulated pregnancy? Bragging rights. What do you think you'd work harder and suffer more for out of the two? If it was a man's biological duty to give birth to a child, it is almost a guarantee that he would not fall apart and successfully give birth, in typical circumstances.
It's muscle mass, wastes energy for male athletes trying to feed that muscle. Women have more body fat which ends up being fuel for them. Two major reasons for it.
whatever way you cut it...lower standard in society has become the norm and we are being forced to believe the contrary. Women should focus on what they are meant to do and so should the men.
If you can't carry your bleeding out battle-brother under your own weight while under enemy fire then you have no business being in combat. Let alone not even being able to hike in with your share of MREs for a combat operation. Women should be in the military, defiantly not in combat though and especially not directly in special operations. Your putting combat forces at risk if you include women in combat, plain and simple.
Another great diffrence in regard to jiu jitsu is that a big guy can always learn techique and become great whilst a small guy can neve become big. So the person with the better pshysical attributes has both choices open and the litte one's are left with tehir technique. That's the harsh reality of life.
@babo85 Yeah, that's strue. But maybe "Competition" is better suited here than "Size". Getting better at abything in general requires facing better competition, it has littel to do with size. If there is less competition in lower weight classes and more competition in heavyweights, then heavyweights would develop more at technique than flyweights. Didn't they lower the requirements for women to get in the army because combat training is sexist? Fire fighters too, a fire fighter used to have to be able to carry an average human to safety, but that requirement no longer exists.

There doesn’t really seem to be a cut and dry answer as to who is brain is “best“.

@Default Name right so.... Without all those words, your simply saying you agree.
Show me some women that have amputated their own limbs and I might believe the pain thing.
You are never safe from predictors.
@Shahid R.. Prove evolution occured.
Its anaecdotal but as a soldier what i saw was at some points they couldn't even get off the ground with full kit on,even when another female soldier helped... ..
I once saw on the firing range during basic training a mind breaking example of bad technique
We each had 5 rounds to fire down range at a target.Next to me was a guy and next to him was the woman in question.
Every male soldier out there will tell you that the standards overall have either dropped in terms of performance or the bar by which they are measured is different or lowered (for example extra time on runs, less pull ups and so on)
Like any other sector diversity has hit the armed forces and the overall standard has dropped because of it.
Some women can achieve equal footing with the men but the sad truth is most can't and as of right now we are too busy being progressive so we've lowered the standards just to look good.
Yeah i have no problems with women in a unit but when you lower the standard to allow them to join its because your trying to meet some diversity quota
Well said
Mr X completely agree.

Women can compete with men on technical sports that don't require strength.
+Hoplite0001 you literally just contradicted yourself to try and prove another point. humans were made to run

According to the National Centre for Biotechnology, womens strength is between 40-75% that of a mans.
As a man I was struggling, not really, it was easy, I pretended to struggle. Women can't do this, believe me. Maybe the outliers, can pretend to be a weak man. The difference between a man and a woman are like the difference between a cat and a dog, each are strong in their own way.

That’s great they can take pain and learn technique better. But that’s not what combat is about once your in combat it’s the most primal part of your Brain at work something men have developed for thousands of years
I’ve never seen such sexist ppl in these comments 😂
Joe I have to say I disagree with ya bro, I am male and personally, I think pain tolerance is down to the individual. Pregnant women create biological anaesthetics to numb the vagina a bit to reduce the pain (which is obviously not possible for a man doing a simulation) additionally, I personally take pride in my own pain tolerance. I'm sure there are men and women both who are more resiliant to pain than me but as an example, when doing conditioning at mma, I outlasted 3 other guys combined at body conditioning and got a similar time to a girl who has been training in mma for much longer than me and has much better conditioning
The world's most competitive people are men
Women can definitely be trained to fight wars. Requires a different approach to adjust for physical differences I have no doubt that with a suitable approach women can become. effective with their missions. US military don't win because the men are physically stronger.
Women can train themselves to endure pain but most don't
For me to be comfortable with lets say a female partner in my line of work is this.
1) Must be able to spar with me at a minimum of 80% effort on my half.
2)Must be able to pick me up, and carry me 100yards.
3)Must have equivalent training.
The technique analogy is 100% correct !! Women are technically better at all sports we are just athletically more talented so men don’t gotta learn
We want Brian Shaw!!!!
( type 2X)
Also called slow and fast twitch muscle fibers.
Men have more fast twitch muscle fibers. Women jave more slow twitch.
Just came here after watching some
I like to revert to the words of a wise American philosopher "everybody has a plan...til they get punched in the mouth"
Virgin
You can see the line where his face ends and where his hair line begins. It looks like a bald cap.
If the main argument is that a women would not be able to drag someone to safety, simply require women to take steroids in these high risk jobs
There's a reason that women in the UFC don't fight men. Women are incredible and tough but show me one who could knock out or tap Brock Lesnar
The woman is more physically flexible and more patient, and if she tries and believes in herself, she will face more than a hundred men.
It's muscle mass, wastes energy for male athletes trying to feed that muscle. Women have more body fat which ends up being fuel for them. Two major reasons for it.
Periods. Its pain indurance training.
So you're implying women have a higher pain tolerance than men...
Wildfire except they don’t lmao
Hahahahaahha gtfo with this nonsense
whatever way you cut it...lower standard in society has become the norm and we are being forced to believe the contrary. Women should focus on what they are meant to do and so should the men.
Both genders have their qualities.
From my military experience women's greatest hurdle was other women. The female platoons in AIT had 0 comradery
Not surprised
The idea that women can stand more pain has been debunked time and again. Look it up.
Agreed, but the big guy is less likely to be forced to get better technique.
@babo85
Yeah, that's strue.
But maybe "Competition" is better suited here than "Size". Getting better at abything in general requires facing better competition, it has littel to do with size. If there is less competition in lower weight classes and more competition in heavyweights, then heavyweights would develop more at technique than flyweights.
Pretty much tha saem difference between jon jones and DJ's . one got better competition from fellow atheletes, whilst the other...not so great.
@@robertcraig2662 Yeah I agree. Better opponents create a better fighter.
Joe "Big Guy jiu jitsu" Rogan
More testosterone= better athletes. It's that simple.
One of the many differences is in celebrations. Men when they win they're like "yaaaaa bro they ain't got nothing on us"
Women be like" ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhjhh"
Sounding like a happy Squirrel
Women dont fatigue as much because they dont have as much muscle mass that needs to use all their oxygen, men tend to have more muscle even if the fitness lvl is the same between the two
There should be no competition between sexes. Men evolved from the female species. We are essentially an advanced female.
S7ete Racing and yet an IQ above room temperature is no where in sight...
@@jacobisaacs600 Really? Look at all the inventions in the last 100 years..
If you want to legally beat the shit out of women, just identity as one and join a womens fighting league
"Ronda rousey can beat most male bantamweights" never forget. Joe has lost all credibility on topics such as this forever.
Joe "obviously i havent given birth" Rogan
This is where jeet kune do comes into play
