I think smoke launcher belong into A tier because the smoke very often means th difference between saving a vehicle or not which can be game deciding . Half track upgrade is really a shame I wish it would be a lot cheaper and provide more bonus for the late game eg th 20mm should have the same power as th SdKfz 232 in the game it's the same gun plus it was able to be used as AA to with that turret. Th mobile mortar is actually quite nice but overall it's to expensive vs the Leichtes Infanteriegeschuetz
I could see that being at A tier in the smaller game modes like 1v1 :D It has to compete with squad lead and I think that upgraded pgren with combined armed are amazing. Also, I love the flak and I rarely use smoke with the flak.
The smoke upgrade with stugs spam is SSSS tier. It gives them smoke launcher and self smoke, with seperate cooldowns. Also it saves kettenkrad from mine insta kill and AA truck from 2 AT gun wipe.
When they nerfed passive repair and buffed the infantry repair upgrade, I just sort of assumed since passive repairs were so expensive that infantry repairs were the better option. But breaking it down like this with maths, I see that it remains the other way around even after the nerf. Very informative, thank you.
How does this video aged in patch 1.3? In 1.3, the passive abilities stats are now shown ingame! - The additional XP from VSL is good, but the harder to hit portion is actually a damage mitigation! Veteran Squad Leaders my beloved. As a firm believer of DAK Panzergrens, these guys are a menace when used to their full advantage (Combined Arms + VSL). Increased move speed which makes dodging nades, flanking, and even getting out of firing cones while suppressed easier. All the while applies even when in combat. Slightly stacks with the Medical Trucks Vet 1 supplies bonus (Barely noticeable but just wanted to mention). Increased grenade and snare range (the farthest snare range too). Genuinely really good but people often don't see it due to treating them as regular infantry like in other factions. They are like my favorite T0 unit the second being the Kradshutzen (Tracer rounds go brr and pairing it with a Flak Truck is just saucy).
@@WilllTHENOOBz With my experience, DAK needs to have combined arms for their infantry in engagements at all times or else you just suffer to much manpower loss. Early half track is worth the cost because you save on reinforcement cost later on since it seems to give your inf a defensive and offensive bonus. But I don't have time to do the number crunching.
Good video. Appreciate the research time invested. Music got a little too loud at times. Would have liked to see if Veteran Squad Leaders provide the same decreased chance to hit to all infantry, including italian infantry.
Capping with vehicles makes that upgrade at least A tier. When the allies lean too heavy into arty, capping the vp with your tiger is extremely beneficial.
that could be an interesting change but hard to tell how it is going to affect the game play. :D (imo) The fuel cost for upgrades could further delay the tank for DAK, and Brit could already rush Matilda by 18min in 2v2 and 13min in 4v4 already.
I agree! Now, I don't suicide my 250 nor do I upgrade it. Just keep it nearby pengren so they get the combined arms, and then use the money to get the the squad lead :)

It's still amazing after the nerfed. 6HP/s is amazing as a pio squad has 8HP/s rate.

I agreed! A lot of DAK player do not take advanrage of the passive, and just dive their 250s to death.
Finally a clear explanation of the upgrades, if you only go by the in game descriptions its impossible to know how to play DAK properly. Thanks!
