Add a resonator to the mid pipe. I took off my resonator for a week and I hated how it sounded, so I switched back to the sti midpipe which has a resonator in it. So much better
Im about to do the same to mine. I have a non resonated j pipe, non resonated mid pipe, and muffler deletes. You recommend the resonated mid pipe? I dont wanna get rid of too much of the pops or turbo whistle, just some of the rasp. Thanks!
That Invidia catback exhaust is gonna be too quite... Its like going from one extreme to the next. You may not like it. Do some pulls when you get the Invidia and do a side by side video.
Yeah now that's loud but here in Jersey we have them way louder than this, some even have pops that sound like gun shots, now for me I have a deep sounding exhaust with high flow cats & an aftermarket valvtronic sport exhaust so I can quiet it down when I need to like when I go to Virginia which is where I was last week, so I'd like to know do the police bother you in V.A.

did you even get a pro tune on it if you didn't kinda a waste of money considering you don't get much power gains.. also my tuner made my cold start not be that loud when I start it up it sounds the same as when its warm
Yo Sergi happy 4th man! I know i commented on here before but ive got a question. Since you have the grimmspeed J pipe all you had to do was get the adapter for the factory exhaust, correct?? Is that adapter interchangeable between all j pipes/down pipes?? Reason i ask i may go the absolute cheapest dp/j-pipe route and keep the factory exhaust along with my MAPerformane muffler deletes. I cant go too extreme with the car since i have bills to pay but i was looking at cheap j pipes then a Professional etune by ron watson or clark turner or ambot tuning.. thanks bro!
That I’m not sure of. I went with GrimmSpeed and they also sell an adapter of their own. I would assume where everything connects won’t be different. Not sure though
I ended up going with MAPerformance catted J-Pipe and got their stage 1 tune for a hell of a deal. Their OTS tune pulls hard up top. I wont install the j pipe until warranty runs out (1 more year) but im thinking of getting their intake as well and then their stage 2 OTS map or get the r400 exhaust. Thanks for the vids and helping me learn about the FA platform. F3 Auto does performance installs, How much did they charge you???

I currently installed my jpipe and the check engine light came on and i clear the code with my accessport but it came back. I’m currently on Cobb stage 1plus tune. If you can please help me how i can fix this problem.
Yes normal. In wv winter it takes a Rediculous amount of time to drop and warm up. I start driving at 115 f and it takes about 7 miles at 45 mph to warm up to 194. Then a good pull to get it completely warm.
My neighbor had this exhaust on his WRX and i wanted to beat the fuck out of him every morning when we would leave for work at 4am and i didn't have to be up till 6. This kinda exhaust should honestly be outlawed sorry to say but its awful if you live next to people like this. At least your a nice guy and corrected it man bc i would hate you so much.

You should look into the nameless midpipe with a resonator shpuld make it more refined
No need to replace your exhaust to quiet it down. Just have your shop install a resonator - it will make a huge difference.

Stage 1+ is for intake. Stage 2 is for J pipe. 2+ is i take and J pipe

You’ll need an adapter if you have a stock catback. Grimspeed sells one on their site

yea mine has a pretty high idle at cold start here in alaska too, takes awhile to warm up but once it does, everything seems good
