There is a saying in Japanese that translates to something like "idiots don't catch colds". According to what I found on Wikipedia, it's in reference to the idea that carefree people are less likely to notice they are sick or to worry about getting sick. So the joke around 9:08 is that Luffy, Usopp, and Sanji are idiots.
