Wooow. I’m a 25 years old guy. My skin is usually dry and wrinkles started to appear. I was watching Chris Gibson videos that are shocked me how people can look like if they do proper skincare routine. Found your videos. I can’t thank you enough for inspiration and new ideas how can I improve my skin and appearance in whole 🙈😀😀 I’m gonna make my own serum with HA, jojoba, rose hip, and rosemary oils. God bless you and yours for such an amazing videos😌😌😃
Since my serum is watery, and I now know that the low molecular weight is why, the solution is still 1%, can I use it as a facial mist and perhaps add rose water?
Is it a problem that I have: Hyaluronic Acid Serum Powder, High Molecular Weight, Cosmetics Grade? Can I still make your formula with it thank you so much
love how thorough and comprehensive your videos are - im wondering if there is a method for adding hyaluronic acid to an oil based lip balm? appreciate any response you may have, thank you:))
Thank you for this! I was doing some research on hyaluronic acid in skincare and I've learnt a lot form this video. I have a question though; I've seen some lip glosses in the market that are formulated with hyaluronic acid and I was wondering. if hyaluronic acid is water soluble, how do they get it to mix with oils or versagel which is water repellent?
This is a great question because I am genuinely wondering the same thing!!! I was looking into creating diy lipglosses but I wanted to add some hyaluronic acid to make them more hydrating. But I’m worried of mixing that in with a lip gloss base and the two ingredients just separating in the tube over time.
Hey Marie! Thank you so much for your insight. Quick question, does your HA stock ever go bad quickly or liquify immensely? For whatever reason, sometimes my Hyaluronic acid stick will just thin out. I normally use a HMW hyaluronic acid
I noticed trace amounts of heavy metals are normal in HA. Is there a way around this? Like…Buying organic? Low vs High molecular? For example, high sits on the face and doesn’t penetrate so the metals won’t penetrate the skin. I’m not sure. Do you have insight?
Hi! The more important question here is "is this actually a risk?". Quite a few things in our lives contain trace amounts of heavy metals (like iron oxides, for instance), but the levels are low enough that we aren't concerned about them. From Lotion Crafter's HA (lotioncrafter.com/products/hyaluronic-acid-hmw-10-15-million-daltons). "This product may contain trace heavy metals (Pb
@@HumblebeeAndMe Thank you so much Marie. I appreciate your response. That puts me at ease. I tend to be a worry wart about what is really healthy and not. That is the exact HA that I use (LotionCrafters).
Hey! You'll find the answer to your question in my FAQ on my website at www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/what-type-of-education-do-you-have-for-diy/ 🙂 Happy making!
Wow this is packed with info! I just purchased some H. Acid powder. My math and science skills are a bit rusty, is there a place I can get more help in the area of measuring?
I seriously watch you all the time. You are amazing. I thought you made a video of herbs and honey pink clay mask before. I looked on your post and found the recipe but not the video. Just wondering if you made a video:) and also I joined your 10.00 patron:) you do such amazing work I felt guilty not helping. Lol
Thank you so much! And yeah, I thought I'd made a video of that formulation as well but I guess not-it dates back to a time when I was still going back through the archives and making video versions of older formulations rather than making and releasing a pair at the same time. And thank you for becoming a patron! ❤️
Hi Marie, I was wondering if you have ever worked with snow fungus. It is supposed to hold up to 5 times more water than hyaluronic acid and be less of an irritant. But information on how to use in formulation is very sparse.
I really enjoy your great videos and your wonderful personality ! I’ve been reading your blogs and they’re great also but I’m still confused about formulating more of a product. Do I just double or triple the amount of each ingredient (i.e preservative or fragrance oil etc. ) or is that the wrong thing to do?id really appreciate a response or directions. Thanks 🙏
The first time I made my 1% stock the solution wasn't as viscous as the second batch I made. Both are from the same pack of HA. Do you have any idea why?
If the ingredients are the same I'd be looking at other possible variables-scale accuracy, potentially adding a bit more or less water, water loss due to evaporation during hydration, etc.
I'd say at least a year, though mine rarely lasts for 6 months before I run out and have to make more :) It could easily last far longer, but if you're not going through your stock fast enough to use it within a year I would start making smaller batches of stock. Happy making!
Does everyone ever think... If we used everything we learned . We would freeze time. Lol. Or spend 2 hours a day prepping our faces. But like you. I love the info
The dilution of fragrance oils isn't really a worry if you are purchasing cosmetic grade ingredients from cosmetic suppliers-all of the suppliers I link at www.humblebeeandme.com/ will sell pure fragrance oils, and will state otherwise if they are diluted. Happy making!
This is so helpful ma'am! But, I have a question, can I use the HA as an ingredient in my melt-and-pour soap? Thank you so much and God bless you ma'am. 🥰
Great information, very helpful thank you so much! I don't recall hearing what exactly hyaluronic does? Is it just a moisturizer or does it do something else to the skin?
To answer, it's a humectant. Unlike other skin care ingredients like oils which are strictly emollients (smoothing rough skin cell edges) humectants hold and draw water into the skin. Most other ingredients in a lotion, water and oils and occlusive (that seal skin from moisture loss) don't actively draw in or retain moisture at the surface level of the skin. The stratum cornium, the very top dead layer of skin cells that helps protect the deeper layers and comprises the whitish skin flakes and gray roll off bits that come away during washing.

Very informative mam, but some companies give 1%hyaluronic acid serum, is it good mam. Can we also make with 1%HA, if s - again how much do i add glycerine, sodium PCA, propanediol, sodium lactate to it. Ur suggestion means a lot, thank u so much mam.
Truly great content in this video thank you so much! I'm curious about diy hyaluronic acid formulas for hair. My hair doesn't seem to hold any mosture no matter what treatments I've used. Can you add this solution in your night lip mask with oil based products

What is the H/A shelf life once it is hydrated?
You should usually have a preservative in the hydrated formula, so that should keep for a long time.
@@remathe-beloved correct, with the preservative how long will it last?

Can you recommend some good companies with non diluted fragrance oils ? :)

could you use it in a lip butter or body butter?
Generally not, as it is water soluble and lip/body butters are typically anhydrous.
Can it be used on the lip

You COULD, but I'd consider it to be a massive waste of hyaluronic acid-I only use it in leave-on formulations due to its price :)
