Cindy you’re amazing. I’m a beginner with acrylics but I can see how I can utilise this method. I’ve done similar with water colour. Colleen from New South Wales Australia🎉
I've studied everyone who's good. I think most artist keep q tips in their gear. Very common. I've also used and experimented with about every palette out there. One palette that I have used a lot is simply viridian and transparent oxide red, (white of course as well.) These two colors and white are perfect for tree portraits and live model work. I had a black haired model for years and seriously I could get a pitch black in the hair without being thick. I could also get a warm glowing yellowish in the background if I kept it fresh. It's all comparison , and with that in mind I could get the feel of blue as well. Pretty fast painting with some drawing skills and two colors.
Cindy Baron, I've only recently discovered you through Eric's tutorials however I absolutely love your art style, teaching and amazing skills you share with us all. Thank you so much, from one of your latest fans. 😀👍💕
If you want to keep the underpainting wet for a long time for doing very large paintings/block ins, simply use walnut oil in place of gamsol. Keeping it thin of course.
Cindy is an amazing artist, teacher & a wonderful lady! I feel fortunate to own one of her gorgeous paintings, recently purchased her video & hope to one day take a workshop with her! From British Columbia, Canada
Cindy, I use to have a cottage in Shelter Harbor, love The Rhode Island coast! Now I live in Hawaii, am 85 years old and took a workshop with Bill Davidson and just love him. Anyway to get down to business, I have your video and want want of yours in watercolor. I work in all mediums and need refreshing in watercolor. So please get crackin’. Marion.
I love Cindy’s technique. She makes it look effortless. I bought her Elegant Landscapes video. She’s a wonderful teacher. There’s such great info in there I’m sure I’ll be studying it for months. BTW the little rubber tool is called a wipe-out tool.
Hi I’m from Canada and I really enjoy your program, each time I think you’ve invited the top one…here comes another one…THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING.
Thanks a very helpful lesson! Love to have seen the artist’s studies and reference photos before the instruction begins. Also occasionally there after would be helpful. Terrific and inspirational.
I just discovered Cindy, thanks Eric!!, and enjoyed the presentation from beginning to end. Her block-in and expressing the importance of composition points, then moving forward with creating shapes, maintaining details achieved with the block-in, then developing form & structure was captivating, along with her personality. Her technique is old world and a bit new school. Fantastic!! Thanks.
