It's the little train that could, should and can! One of the modern metro system's that is a victim of its own success much like the Docklands themselves... From a secondary afterthought to the primary business hub in the UK... I also love that the government of my home province of Alberta is a part owner of LCY so I plan on visiting my tax dollars investment as soon as possible and the best way to get from there is obviously on the DLR.. ;-)
belle compilation de tramway londonien
Dit zijn leuke stations om op te spotten. Vooral 9:24 en 18:59 zijn gaaf!
What device did you record with?
1:56 why this train sounds a little bit like the 1992 stock in London Underground
What camera do you use?
Leuk metronet zeg! Mooie video
Ja, zeker weten. Echt een prachtig systeem. Ik ben er al diverse keren geweest.
what's this?
It's DLR. The Docklands Light Railway is an elevated automatic light metro, which was opened in 1987.

grade-seperated light rail system throughout the docklands, the former harbor district in east london. large parts of it have been in a rejuvenation process and the canary wharf is now one of the leading financial districts on the planet
Does anyone here know when will the new trains start service?
A nice mode of transport. At the start in 1987 it was a revolution in the public transport: fully automatic (although every train has a steward who can take over when the computer fails). Be prepared for a real bumpy ride, but in all the system and the views in the Docklands are amazing. It's a victim of it's own succes: build as cheap as possible and (at the start) for a limited amount of passengers DLR was quickly forced to lengthen the trains and the platforms to cope with the high demand.... The simple 2-line system has grown with the development from the Docklands and is now an about 28 miles (40km) large and high frequent network. And now new 5-car train are in the pipeline.
